Cardinals fans will pay $2,500 and up for team-sponsored trip to game in Dallas

NBC Sports5 hours ago
The Cardinals have found a new way to make money off their fans traveling to road games.
The team today unveiled a new program called Cardinals Premier Travel, in which the team sill provide a private flight, two nights in a hotel, a team-sponsored tailgate and welcome reception, and other amenities. Packages will start at $2,500 per person.
'In recent years, the number of Cardinals fans who travel to support the team at road games has increased exponentially,' Cardinals owner Michael Bidwill said in a statement. 'To meet that clear demand, we are introducing Cardinals Premier Travel, which will offer fans an unprecedented opportunity to travel to games in comfort, style and convenience, just like the team.'
The program will start with the Cardinals' Monday night game on November 3 at Dallas.
'Feedback from fans was clear that this was the No. 1 choice among the road games in 2025 and the expectation is to grow from this starting point,' Bidwill said.
Given how many rabid NFL fans travel to see their favorite teams on the road, it's surprising that programs like this aren't more commonplace. Teams know their fans are spending money on the road, and the logical next step for the NFL is for teams to get a share of that money.

Part of the reason why the Philadelphia Eagles didn't try to fight harder to keep some of their defensive free agents on board was due to the fact that they had to begin thinking about the future contracts they had to put on the table. Taking care of their younger homegrown talents will be a priority for Howie Roseman and the Eagles' front office. As the General Manager has drafted well since the Eagles reached the Jalen Hurts era, soon it will be time to start paying younger stars some big money. The defensive lineman Jalen Carter will be first in line. One anonymous NFL coach recently summed up the reason for that during an on-record discussion with ESPN. "Young player with elite tools, elite instincts and game-changing play ability," an NFL head coach told ESPN. "Think the best is yet to come from him if he can keep his life in order. Has Hall of Fame-type ability and instincts." Read More: NFL Exec Makes Confident Saquon Barkley Prediction Heading into the NFL, Carter's biggest knock was his off-field concerns. It was something the Eagles had to take a long and hard look at. Without those concerns coming out of Georgia, Carter might've been a higher pick. Instead, he nearly fell outside of the top 10. The Eagles made sure that wouldn't happen. Howie Roseman and the Philly front office called on Carter with the ninth-overall pick. He joined the team as the clock was ticking on Fletcher Cox. Since Cox was still in the building, Carter started just one game for the Eagles in 2023. Despite the lack of snaps, Carter lived up to the hype. As expected, he produced a career-high 42 tackles, with 12 going for a loss. While he picked up only 4.5 sacks during the regular season, Carter hit the quarterback 16 times. He was named an All-Pro on the Second Team. Over two years, Carter hasn't dealt with any off-field problems. And he's been a problem for offenses on the field, showcasing his elite talent at the highest level. All the free agent defensive linemen with a hand in the Patrick Mahomes dominance during Super Bowl LIX got paid. It's only a matter of time before Carter gets his. Kansas City Radio Host Has Issue With Patrick Mahomes' Body

Kansas City Radio Host Has Issue With Patrick Mahomes' Body originally appeared on The Spun. Patrick Mahomes has embraced his "dad bod" while achieving unparalleled success for the Kansas City Chiefs. A local radio host nevertheless threw a temper tantrum over the star quarterback's physique. Advertisement Photos surfaced of a shirtless Mahomes celebrating the Fourth of July with family and friends. His body wasn't chiseled enough for Kevin Kietzman, who ranted about the three-time Super Bowl champion. "Vacation photos are popping up of Patrick Mahomes, and he's fat," Kietzman said on Kevin Kietzman Has Issues. "I'm gonna say it, and I'm gonna tell you the truth. He's an embarrassment." Surely, some guy with a radio show knows more about physical training than an NFL superstar and his team. "You're a $500 million quarterback," Kietzman continued. "You've made all these comments in the offseason that, 'We're gonna do our talking on the field, we got our butts kicked in the Super Bowl, we're coming back with a vengeance'... Dude, you're fat. Your belly would be fat at my pool, hanging out with us 60-year-olds. Stop. Stop the fast food. Do a sit-up. Do something." Advertisement Well, Kietzman tried warning everyone about him with his show's title. NEW ORLEANS, LOUISIANA - FEBRUARY 09: Patrick Mahomes #15 of the Kansas City Chiefs reacts in the fourth quarter against the Philadelphia Eagles during Super Bowl LIX at Caesars Superdome on February 09, 2025 in New Orleans, Louisiana. (Photo by)It should go without saying, but Mahomes is obviously in better shape than the overwhelming majority of said 60-year-olds complaining because he doesn't have six-pack abs. Mahomes may not be as diligent about his body as Tom Brady, and perhaps the 29-year-old could cut down on the Coors Light. However, the two-time MVP hasn't missed a game due to injury -- despite spraining his ankle last year -- in the last four seasons. In fact, Mahomes has often credited his "dad bod" for helping him absorb hits and stay healthy through a grueling NFL season. Advertisement Don't count on the Chiefs following in the Dallas Mavericks' footsteps and trading their superstar player because of his physique. Mahomes will continue to bolster his legacy as a future Hall of Famer while loudmouths like Kietzman yell nonsense for attention. 2025 NFC West WR room rankings: Arizona Cardinals at the bottom

We rank the WR trios in the NFC West. The Cardinals are at the bottom. As we lead up to the start of training camp for the Arizona Cardinals, we take a look at the players and position groups on the Cardinals, Los Angeles Rams, San Francisco 49ers and Seattle Seahawks, ranking them in the NFC West. We have already looked at quarterbacks, running backs and individual receivers, but how do the four teams stack up against one another in terms of wide receiver units? 1. LA Rams: Davante Adams, Puka Nacua, Tutu Atwell Adams and Nacua are the second- and third-ranked receivers in the division for this coming season. Atwell, though overall unproven, when playing the role of the No. 3 wideout for the Rams, has had big games. 2. Seattle Seahawks: Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Cooper Kupp, Marquez Valdes-Scantling We know how good Kupp has been, but his production has declined each year since 2021 and he has missed at least five games in three straight year. Smith-Njigba had 100 catches last season and enters the season as the division's bet, and Valdes-Scantling is just a guy, never catching more than 42 passes. 3. San Francisco 49ers: Brandon Aiyuk, Jauan Jennings, Ricky Pearsall Aiyuk is fantastic but his health in 2025 will be key after he tore his ACL and MCL after only seven games. Jennings had nearly 1,000 yards and Pearsall showed promise as a rookie after returning from being shot. 4. Arizona Cardinals: Marvin Harrison Jr., Michael Wilson, Zay Jones Harrison had a solid but not spectacular rookie season, although he is expected to be great in 2025. But Wilson has not cracked 600 yards in a season yet and Jones only had eight receptions last season.
