Former Ohio State running back arrested on domestic violence in Broward County Florida
Details are still to emerge, but according to the arrest record online, Judkins was arrested in Fort Lauderdale with a description of "Touch or strike/battery/domestic violence. No bond has been set, and the status of the arrest record is listed as "pending."
Judkins seemed to have the whole world in front of him. He transferred from Ole Miss to Ohio State before the 2025 season and split time with running back TreVeyon Henderson last season. Both eclipsed 1,000 yards on the ground, and Judkins made a name for himself, leading to a selection by the Browns with the No. 36 pick in the 2025 NFL draft after scoring 14 touchdowns his final and only season in Columbus.
So far, there is no information coming from the Browns, and all of the disclaimers are appropriate here about waiting for the process to play out before rushing to judgment. As more information becomes available, we'll bring it to you.

Cleveland Browns General Manager Is Getting Destroyed After Latest Player Arrest
Cleveland Browns General Manager Is Getting Destroyed After Latest Player Arrest originally appeared on The Spun. The last few offseasons haven't been the easiest for Browns fans to stomach and this one didn't get any easier with Saturday's news. Advertisement After selecting Ohio State's Quinshon Judkins with the 36th overall pick in the second round, the rookie running back was arrested on serious domestic violence charges that allege he touched/struck and battered a victim. A Browns spokesperson has said the franchise is aware of the situation and is "gathering information." But its GM Andrew Berry that's found himself directly in the crosshairs of the Cleveland faithful online. "The Deshaun Watson failure should have been the end of Andrew Berry's tenure here," a user said. "Second consecutive offseason one of Andrew Berry's draft picks is arrested and charged following an alleged domestic violence incident," Daryl Ruiter shared. "Also should note, Judkins has yet to sign his rookie contract." Advertisement "questions should be asked about these Andrew Berry background checks," a fan commented. "also 2nd time this has happened with someone with a 'clean' record out of Columbus, we should also ask about Ryan Day too, this pattern is smaller scale but similar to his mentor." "Andrew Berry has had more draft picks get arrested than the Browns will have wins this year," another person posted. "Andrew berry legitimately might be the worst gm of all time. His track record is crazy," another fan pointed out. "Absolutely sick & tired of Andrew Berry drafting guys who are abusers," a member of the Dawg Pound replied. "His resume now includes Deshaun Watson, Mike Hall & Quinshon. Like, at some point, it has to matter dude. I'm so tired of it. I get you don't always know- but it's a recurring theme." 'He's Done' - Fans React To NFL Running Back's Arrest On Saturday
'He's Done' - Fans React To NFL Running Back's Arrest On Saturday originally appeared on The Spun. One NFL rookie running back has made his road to getting on the field a lot harder for himself. Though given the charges, it's a bit hard to sympathize. Advertisement On Saturday, Cleveland Browns running back Quinshon Judkins was arrested in Broward County, Florida on charges of battery and domestic violence. Further details on the crime he's been booked for are not currently available. He is still in jail as of writing and his initial court appearance will be on Sunday morning. "Cleveland Browns rookie running back Quinshon Judkins was arrested on a domestic violence and battery charge in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, on Saturday, according to the Fort Lauderdale Police department and Broward County arrest records," ESPN's Daniel Ayefusi wrote. "Judkins was still in jail as of Saturday night and scheduled to have his initial court appearance Sunday morning, according to court records." Judkins was the No. 36 overall pick by the Browns in the 2025 NFL Draft. He was a record-breaking running back Ole Miss between 2022 and 2023 and helped the Ohio State Buckeyes win a national title in 2024. Advertisement But the domestic violence charges against him have caused the support and respect that Judkins has previously had to evaporate. Across social media, Judkins has been either condemned or mocked by fans in the hours since the news broke. "Dude was so in position. On-field, off-field and fantasy. Then this," one user lamented. "Oooof. And he's unsigned right? There goes that $. For sure lost any leverage he might've had," wrote another. "Geez - first draft pick to be cut," a third predicted. "You have your entire life in front of you and you fumble it." "He's done. Advertisement "What a dumbass. On the verge of becoming a multimillionaire." Quinshon Judkins© Ken Blaze-Imagn Images The Browns used one of the picks they received in the blockbuster Day 1 trade with the Jacksonville Jaguars to bring him into the fold. But like many second-round picks in this year's draft, he remains unsigned due to a dispute over the guaranteed money in the deal. As some online have pointed out, Judkins' arrest is going to send any leverage he might have in negotiations up in smoke. At this point he'll be lucky if he's even allowed to play football in Week 1, let alone if he's being paid the amount he wants. Advertisement Judkins' entire career could be in jeopardy before the first whistle of training camp.
