Some people have called the wedding "a multi-million pound fairytale." Nothing will be spared when the tech billionaire's youngest daughter, Eve, marries her British showjumper boyfriend, Harry Charles, this weekend because she was the apple of her father's eye.
In Oxfordshire, a whole village will be placed under lockdown starting tomorrow. Oxfordshire is being completely upended by this unique society wedding. It takes place in a sleepy village that seems to be becoming a no-go area, complete with secret service agents and guys who appear to be FBI employees, as per a report by The US Sun.
Live Events
This is a very peaceful location close to the Cotswolds, they continued. Tourists and well-known faces are nothing new to anyone, but this is something else.
According to reports, Eve, 27, and Harry, 26, who we disclosed became engaged in September of last year, are organizing a lavish four-day celebration that will begin tomorrow.
What makes this wedding so over the top?
Eve and Harry are going all out for their wedding, a four-day party at a private estate in Oxfordshire near the Cotswolds. Expect a lot of security, helicopters, secret service agents, private jets at Oxford airport, and trucks bringing in staging and lighting for Elton John's show. Planners like Stanlee Gatti, who is known for planning events like those in Hollywood, are working on every detail, from the decorations to the downtime options, as per a report by The US Sun.
Who's coming to the party?
This isn't just a party for famous "It Girls"; it's a gathering of people who have power. Kamala Harris is friends with Eve's mother, Laurene Powell Jobs, and will be there with other powerful politicians. Some well-known people are Jony Ive, the designer of Apple, Jessica Springsteen, Bruce Springsteen's daughter, Sofia Abramovich, Roman Abramovich's daughter, Phoebe and Jennifer Gates, the daughters of tech moguls, and Matt Helders from Arctic Monkeys. It's a list of famous people from all over the world.

How are they mixing American style with English charm?
Eve and Harry wanted a fancy country party with a modern touch. This wedding mixes stoic English villages with California glam. There are custom capsule-style stages for Elton, luxury helicopters, lily-covered tables, and personal touches that honor family legacies.
The event honors giving and remembering as much as it does showing off. There are speeches and benefits for loved ones.
The Love Story and Family History
Eve, 27, and Harry, 26, met because they both loved showjumping. Harry, a British Olympic gold medalist, competed in Tokyo and Paris, where their relationship grew stronger. Eve is a modern "It Girl" who went to Stanford and is a talented rider and former model. Last September, they said they were getting married.
Laurene Powell Jobs, who is well-known for her charitable work through Emerson Collective, has been in charge of the event's vision. She and Steve didn't want to pass on their wealth to their children; they wanted them to make their own way. Steve loved Eve and called her a "funny firecracker." The family's values and Eve's energy are shown in the celebrations this weekend.
A Memorable Weekend
Guests are starting to arrive today, so preparations are in full swing. The estate looks like a small airport, with private jets, helicopters, and flower trucks with fancy wrapping pulling into hidden driveways. Some parts of nearby villages are on lockdown, and homeowners in the area say that a lot of expensive cars and high-end staff are coming to the site.
The schedule is full but personal, pre-wedding dinners, a formal ceremony, Elton's unforgettable performance, heartfelt family toasts in memory of Steve, and charitable themes running through each event. More private times, like champagne breakfasts and horseback rides, remind me of the things Eve and Harry like to do together.

‘Oh my god, my face looks chubby today': Katrina Kaif on struggling with critical self talk; counsellor shares how to break free

Katrina Kaif has long been admired for her beauty and confidence, but behind the flawless red-carpet appearances and stunning magazine covers, the Bollywood star has battled her inner critic. 'I'd often look in the mirror and think, Oh my god, my face looks chubby today,' she admitted candidly in a recent Vogue India interview. 'But someone else might see you and think you look fantastic. That self-criticism is what I'm working on—reminding myself to be kinder.' For the actor-entrepreneur, self-acceptance has been a personal journey deeply intertwined with her brand, Kay Beauty, which champions inclusivity and encourages women to celebrate their uniqueness. 'I remember being 16 and reading Vogue,' she recalls. 'It's how I learned about beauty and where I first recognised the importance of not perpetuating stereotypes. That's become so important to me over the years because I've gone through my own battles with self-acceptance.' Counselling psychologist Priyamvada Tendulkar explains that negative self-talk about physical appearance is deeply ingrained in societal conditioning, past experiences, and personal insecurities. 'It can erode self-worth, leading to shame, avoidance behaviors, or excessive preoccupation with perceived flaws,' she says. One of the biggest hurdles? The belief that self-worth is tied to appearance. 'Your worth is not dependent on how you look, how much you weigh, or whether you meet societal beauty standards,' Tendulkar emphasises. 'Pretty is not the rent you need to pay to exist in this world as a female,' she says, paraphrasing American lexicographer Erin McKean's quote. So, how do we silence that inner critic? Tendulkar shares some powerful mindset shifts: 🔹 Shift the focus from appearance to self-experience. Instead of asking, How do I look? ask, How do I feel in my body today? 🔹 See yourself as a whole person, not just a body. You are more than just a nose, thighs, or skin texture—you are a complex, valuable human being. 🔹 Practice self-compassion. 'Treat yourself with the same kindness you'd offer a friend struggling with body image issues,' she advises. She also highlights the power of reframing negative thoughts: ✅ Catch the Thought. Pause and ask: Is this factual or just conditioned negativity? ✅ Replace with a Balanced Thought. Instead of I look terrible today, try I don't love how I look today, but my appearance doesn't define me. Shame about appearance thrives in secrecy and comparison—but it loses power when we reclaim our narrative. Here are a few ways to break free from toxic body ideals: ✔️ Name it to tame it. Say aloud: I feel insecure about my ___ today, and that's okay. Acknowledging the feeling reduces its power. ✔️ Use self-expression as joy, not correction. Fashion, makeup, or styling should be about having fun—not fixing yourself. ✔️ Shift from objectification to functionality. Instead of How does my body look? Ask what amazing things my body does for me every day. And most importantly—stop chasing perfection. 'Self-love isn't about always feeling beautiful,' Tendulkar says. 'It's about loving yourself even when you don't.'
