Ex-Wrexham striker Louis Lloyd joins Saints from Caernarfon
He enjoyed two successful seasons in the Cymru Premier with Caernarfon after leaving Wrexham, where he never made a senior appearance, at the end of the 2022-23 campaign.
Lloyd won last season's Cymru Premier young player award after scoring 16 goals and was also named in the Cymru Premier team of the season having helped the Cofis achieve a joint record fourth-place finish in the top-flight and reach the European play-off final.
The frontman, who has also had a spell with Shrewsbury Town, told St Johnstone's official club website: 'I'm delighted to get this move over the line.
"From the minute I heard about the interest, I thought it was a place I can flourish and show my talent.
'The stature of the club was a big pull for me. I got a great buzz off the head coach and that made me want to come to the club even more.
'I can't wait to start playing and hopefully we can give the fans plenty to cheer about this season.
"I've had a good, successful two years in the Welsh Premier League and I'm now looking to build on that."

Southampton clinch Premier prize at SuperCup NI as one goal enough to topple Manchester United
That's how the 2025 SuperCup NI ended as the Saints marked a first, not just by winning the Premier tournament but tasting success in the competition for the first-ever time. The kids from the south of England celebrated on Northern Ireland's north coast after a performance that mixed coolness and composure with pace and quality in attack – although all they could muster was a single goal. Jude Daniels did the trick eight minutes into the second-half to win the Final and that was enough to give them the trophy. The Saints' front three of Kynan Duffy, Daniels and Marley Parry created constant problems for the United defence without being able to find the space to get too many shots in on Darlington Osuchukwu's goal. It was that type of game with few chances, and one goal was always likely to win it. When it came, Daniels' strike was worthy of winning any Final. The build-up, the final pass and the finish were all of an extremely high standard for players in their mid-teens. The move really got going with a beautiful exchange of passes between Archie Lovatt and Max Little, who was hugely impressive in midfield. Little laid the ball off to Parry on the left of the box and, with one touch, he found Daniels on the six-yard line, and he also only needed one touch to divert the ball into the net. United had their chances, the best of them in the first-half. The impressive Edson DeJonge-Seiros broke through on the left after a great pass by Emmanuel Ziro, and after beating George Wells, his shot went across the face of goal inches ahead of the line. The Southampton defence parted as Samuel O'Brien ran through and George Moloney had to make a good save, and then early in the second-half, Jacey Carrick's shot from distance was pushed to the side and Ziro could only send the rebound wide of the far post. Those who came to see if Kai Rooney could outdo his famous father Wayne and win the competition he graced 25 years previously weren't treated to a goal, but there were moments in which he showed why it's not just his name that makes him so highly rated. He brought a huge cheer from the crowd early on with a twist, turn and shot that many thought had found its way in, but the ball had instead ruffled the netting after coming off the advertising boards. Rooney then hit the side netting just after Southampton scored, screwed a shot high and wide and then, with his best move of the match late in the game, tricked past the Saints defence and pulled the ball back diagonally across the box – but agonisingly, nobody could latch onto it. United did have two more big chances to force a penalty shoot-out. Southampton goalkeeper Moloney produced a superb save to deny Ziro from point-blank range and then, from a corner deep in injury-time, Gazimagamed Ibragimov headed just over the bar. The sound of 'When the Saints go marching in' filled the air above the Coleraine Showgrounds as the Southampton youngsters lifted the trophy, and when they went marching in towards the changing room, they did so as winners. County Down took third place after a 1-0 win over Hamilton Academical, while Ichifuna defeated Intercontinental 6-1 to take the Globe competition. County Londonderry were 2-0 winners against Brighton and Hove Albion in the Vase, and County Armagh won the Bowl Final, beating County Antrim 3-2.

Iurie Iovu knows where Dundee United priorities lie as he parks assault on Europe for Premiership opener
The Moldova international was the hero for Jim Goodwin's men in midweek Iurie Iovu insists the only Rapid that Dundee United are focused on is their Premiership start at Falkirk. Jim Goodwin 's side face Rapid Vienna next week in the Conference League but before then they are looking for a winning start in the league at the Bairns tomorrow. Iovu knows his new team came unstuck there in the Premier Sports Cup last season but will go with confidence after back-to-back wins over UNA Strassen. The Moldovan, who scored the only goal in Luxembourg on Thursday night, said: 'We need to focus on each match. We have a busy schedule, and we cannot think about too far in the future. 'Our thoughts are on the next game, playing well against Falkirk, to listen to the coach and prepare well for a hard match. 'When you are the favourite against a team coming up from the lower division, they want to show themselves and will give more than 100 per cent so we need to be ready for this and not underestimate them.' Falkirk have an artificial pitch but that is not something that will faze the big defender. He said: 'I have played on artificial grass in my career and it cannot be an excuse. It is the same pitch for all 22 players. It doesn't matter.' Iovu, told of his achievement, said: 'Really? Very nice, I did not know this. I am very excited to score my first goal after such a good cross from Zac (Sapsford). 'It was very special for me, it always is when your fans come away from home and make such a long journey to support the team. 'We must always give 100 per cent and show we are thankful for their time and effort to come here. But I am staying positive, trying to push and already thinking about the next game. 'We don't have time to analyse this too much, we need to improve and play well in the next game.' With two big European ties to come against Rapid, Iovu knows his team will need to up their game from Strassen but will go out to upset the odds. He added: 'We need to control the ball more and be cooler in possession. 'Rapid Vienna is a good team, I am delighted to have the chance to play against them. Anything can happen. 'There are lots of examples of smaller teams upsetting bigger teams, you never know. If you can show your qualities and give your maximum, all the possibilities are there.'
