Nintendo teams up with Crocs for Animal Crossing collaboration
Animal Crossing, which debuted in 2001, is one of Nintendo's most popular franchises, known for its relaxing gameplay, life-simulation mechanics, and nature-filled environments.
The limited-edition Animal Crossing x Crocs collection will include two models: the Animal Crossing Platform Clog for adults and the Classic Clog for children.
The designs feature forest-green tones to reflect the game's island landscapes and ocean-blue soles as a nod to the seaside settings players explore.
Crocs fans will also be able to customise their pairs with Animal Crossing-themed charms, with characters such as Tom Nook and K.K. Slider available, along with in-game items like a house and an apple tree.
Crocs described the collaboration as allowing fans to 'step into a relaxing, nature-filled world with [their] favourite characters right at [their] feet.'
This collaboration marks the first time Crocs has worked with Nintendo, adding to previous gaming partnerships with franchises including Minecraft, Five Nights at Freddy's, and Sonic the Hedgehog.
The Animal Crossing x Crocs collection will be available for purchase online at Crocs.com, in Crocs retail stores across the United States, and through select retail partners from August 26.

Nintendo files copyright for untitled Donkey Kong movie with Universal Pictures
Nintendo has quietly filed a copyright notice for an upcoming Donkey Kong movie, sparking speculation among fans about the expansion of the company's cinematic ambitions. The registration, titled 'Untitled Donkey Kong Project; Motion Picture,' lists both Nintendo Studios LLC and Universal Pictures as rights holders according to IGN. The move reflects the ongoing collaboration between Nintendo and Universal, which previously produced the record-breaking Super Mario Bros. Movie through Illumination, the studio behind the Minions franchise. While Nintendo has not officially confirmed the film, the copyright filing—originally made in May 2025—suggests the project may already be in development. Rumors of a Donkey Kong-focused spin-off have circulated since the release of Super Mario Bros., although reports indicate that the next Mario movie, possibly titled Super Mario World, will be a direct sequel rather than a crossover. Some fans speculate that the Donkey Kong film may be part of a broader strategy to build a 'Nintendo Cinematic Universe,' where individual characters receive standalone films within an interconnected world. The timing has sparked further intrigue, as it coincides with the upcoming release of Donkey Kong Bananaza for the Nintendo Switch 2. Given the game's more cinematic presentation and expanded storyline, some believe its narrative could be connected to the film. Nintendo has yet to comment on the Donkey Kong project. However, the company continues to expand its film portfolio, including a live-action adaptation of The Legend of Zelda. In a recent Q&A with investors, Nintendo executive Shigeru Miyamoto reaffirmed the company's commitment to quality, stating that both games and films are only released when the team is confident they will meet consumer expectations.

Hailey Bieber defends Justin Bieber as Swag album announcement shuts down divorce and mental health rumors
Justin Bieber has officially returned to the music scene with a new album titled Swag, released on July 12. This marks the Canadian singer's first full-length project in four years, following reports that he resolved financial disputes with former manager Scooter Braun. After months of speculation and cryptic social media posts, Bieber confirmed the news on July 11. Fans had already begun noticing Swag-themed billboards in Reykjavík, Iceland—where he had recently vacationed with wife Hailey Bieber and their newborn son, Jack Blues Bieber. Shortly after, a massive billboard in New York's Times Square revealed the album's full tracklist. Swag features collaborations with Cash Cobain, Sexyy Red, and Gunna. Bieber had previously teased the project by sharing behind-the-scenes clips of recording sessions with producers Carter Lang, DJ Tay James, and Eddie Benjamin. To mark the moment, Hailey Bieber shared a family photo and directly addressed ongoing online speculation surrounding her husband. Referencing one of Justin's viral memes, she wrote: 'Is it finally clocking to you fucking losers?' The post, widely interpreted as a clapback at critics of Justin's mental health and their relationship, quickly gained support from fans. While her language was bold, many praised Hailey's unapologetic stance and show of solidarity. The post also followed her recent move to shut down divorce rumors by posting a mirror selfie featuring her wedding ring.
