A school in Melbourne's west was placed into lockdown after five people involved in a police chase decided to hide at the school.
It is understood Manor Lakes P-12 College on Minindee Rd in Wyndham Vale was locked down about 11am on Tuesday.
Police initially responded to reports a stolen Porsche was driving erratically in the area near Fraser Ridge.
The car was followed to Manor Lakes before it was dumped on Minindee Rd and five people inside the car fled into the school.
The school was placed into lockdown as a precaution but has since been declared safe.
Three people have been located and taken into custody while police are continuing to search for the remaining two offenders.
Parents were reportedly not notified by the school about the lockdown but were instead informed by their children.
Anyone who witnessed the incident or has any CCTV/dashcam footage is urged to contact Crime Stoppers.

Teenager charged with manslaughter after allegedly hitting woman while riding electric motorbike

A 17-year-old boy has been charged with manslaughter after he allegedly collided with a woman while riding an electric motorbike in suburban Perth. Police say they observed an unregistered, off-road electric motorbike being ridden erratically about 2.30pm on Saturday afternoon in the Woodvale area, in Perth's northern suburbs. It is alleged that a short time later, the motorcycle was involved in a collision with a 59-year-old woman in the neighbouring suburb of Edgewater. Emergency services were called to the scene and the woman was taken to Joondalup hospital with critical injuries, but she died overnight. The teenager has been charged with manslaughter, having no authority to drive and using an unlicensed vehicle on a road. He was refused bail and is due to appear in Perth Children's Court on Sunday. Major Crash investigators are appealing for witnesses to contact CrimeStoppers. They would like to hear from anyone who has dash-cam or mobile phone vision that captured the electric motorbike travelling throughout Woodvale and Edgewater prior to the crash, including pathways adjacent to Lake Joondalup.

Woman seriously injured when struck by van in Noble Park North in Melbourne

A woman was seriously injured when she was hit by a van earlier this month, with police hunting for the driver who dropped the victim home instead of taking her to hospital. The 76-year-old woman was walking on Barkers Rd at Noble Park North — in Melbourne's southeast — when she was hit by the van while crossing Eagle Dr about 6.30am on Saturday, July 5. She suffered serious upper body injuries as a result. Victoria Police say the woman, who does not speak English, was able to communicate to the driver where she lived and he dropped her outside her home before driving off. 'The pair did not exchange details,' Victoria Police said. The woman was later assessed by paramedics and taken to hospital with serious injuries. Victoria Police have released CCTV footage and an image of the van they believe was involved in the incident. Anyone who witnessed the collision or has any dashcam/ CCTV footage from the area is urged to contact Crime Stoppers.

Croydon Park, Prairiewood: Shots fired at two Sydney homes while children, elderly inside

Two Sydney homes have been targeted in brazen shootings overnight, with shots fired while children and elderly residents were inside. The first home was targeted on Queen St, Croydon Park at about 8pm on Friday. Police were told a person was seen standing out the front and firing two shots from a pistol into the home, before getting into the driver's seat of a white hatchback. A 44-year-old man, three women - aged 40, 51, and 71 - were inside the home with a five-year-old boy and a six-year-old girl at the time. No injuries were reported. The white hatchback was last seen travelling north along Tavistock St, police say. The incident is believed to be targeted. Police are urging members of the public to contact them if they know anything about either of the incidents. Picture: NewsWire/ Gaye Gerard Police say the incident is believed to be targeted and have urged anybody with information to contact police or Crime Stoppers. Little more than three hours later at about 11.25pm, police received reports of gunshots being fired into a unit in Prairiewood. An 80-year-old woman was inside at the time but was not injured. Police say a white Ford Ranger was seen in the vicinity at the time of the second shooting. It is believed at this stage to have been a case of mistaken identity. There is no evidence at this stage to suggest the Prairiewood shooting is linked to the earlier incident at Croydon Park, according to police.
