Jenkins has been a brilliant addition for Northop Hall
Fresh from their triumph against Division Two leaders Ainsdale, Hall are looking forward to their trip to St Helens Town. Jenkins, who returned to the club ahead of the current campaign, took five wickets in the success against Ainsdale and he now has 57 for the season, at an average of just 11 apiece. It was Jenkins and James Hurlin who shared all the wickets last time out and skipper Ben Slater said: 'They bowled really well together. It was a great partnership between them both. They got the 10 wickets between them. 'Carwyn (Johnson) and Fin Jenkins put on a 60-odd partnership. It just shows the depth in the squad. 'They could have batted on for a lot longer. It's one of those, you've got to take a positive approach and they ran well.' Northop Hall Seconds will have home comforts for their meeting with New Brighton Seconds. There's a return to action for Chirk after they sat out last weekend's matches in the Shropshire League. A win will be the aim for Chirk, who pay a Division One visit to Newport. Liam Walker's side could do with a positive outcome, having lost their last four contests. In Division Seven, Chirk Seconds are at home to Harcourt.

Brymbo and Gwersyllt Park up for the cup... and the league!
The rivals will return to 50-over Premier Division action on Saturday, before they face each other on Sunday in a big Welsh Cup showdown. It's Brymbo who will have home advantage for that match-up and the winners will join Colwyn Bay as North Wales' representatives in the quarter-finals. Brymbo skipper Dan Parry is anticipating a tough encounter in the cup and he said: 'They have got dangerous men. The overseas has found his feet. 'They have got a few of our old players in Ryan Collier and Jake James that are very dangerous. 'Then you've got the wily Iroshan de Silva.' As an added bonus, the winners know they will receive home comforts in the last-eight, with Pontarddulais their opponents. It's possible Brymbo could claim the North Wales Cricket League and Welsh Cup crowns before the summer is out, but Parry has stressed: 'I would say don't get too far ahead of ourselves! 'We have still got eight more weeks to go.' Of immediate concern is getting into a 50-over frame of mind on the back of a month of T20 action, with Brymbo returning to the longer format with tomorrow's match-up at home to Denbigh. 'I think it's going to be interesting to see how people are going to tackle the powerplay,' said Parry. 'We have had a bit of a chat about it. It's going to be back to how we were.' Brymbo are expected to make two changes for Saturday's side, with an additional amendment to Sunday's side. Gwersyllt Park will warm-up for their cup derby with tomorrow's trip to tackle Mochdre. With the T20 points now shared out, the race for the Premier Division title has just got a lot tighter. There's just eight points separating leaders Bangor from defending champions Mochdre, who are down in fifth. Northop are in sixth position and they will play host to third-placed St Asaph tomorrow. Northop skipper Bart Ryan-Beswick offered his congratulations to Bangor on winning the T20 league, while he's looking forward to the return to 50-over action. He said: "Good game upcoming this weekend and we have a strong team at home to face St Asaph." Front-runners Bangor are at Conwy and Menai Bridge, who are fourth, travel to basement side Bethesda. As with the top flight, at enthralling battle for the Division One title is also taking place. Leaders Mold are involved in the match of the day tomorrow as they pay a visit to third-placed Llandudno. Halkyn, in second position, make the trip to Pontblyddyn, while fourth-placed Hawarden Park are aiming to make home comforts count versus Mochdre Seconds. Long treks are in the offing for Connah's Quay and Northop Seconds, against Bangor Seconds and Dolgellau respectively. Meanwhile, Gresford will have home advantage for their derby clash with Brymbo Seconds. Macdonald bolsters East tennis men
East of Scotland tennis men pulled as rabbit out of the hat today going into a GB Summer County Cup clash with Northamptonshire at Eastbourne which could be crucial to their chances of remaining in the top flight, Division One. Linking up with the squad and going straight into action is Alan Macdonald, GB veterans team member and current doubles coach to Jamie Murray. Macdonald is a long established county week regular. Macdonald was initially unavailable but finds himself partnering Sam McNeil after East lost ground in as 3-6 defeat by Warwickshire having won their opening match. East may have gone down yesterday but it was tantalisingly close with both the Scott Duncan/Euan McIntosh and Lance Nisbet/James MacKinlay combinations losing out in deciding tie-breaks. Meanwhile, East women were due to face North Wales in Group Four at Cheltenham having added the scalp of Norfolk (5-4) to an opening day victory over Lincolnshire (8-1). After the first round of matches East led 3-0 and looked to be cruising but it took a comfortable final round win for Sarah McFadyen and Shaylin Holt to get them over the line.
