The AMG One has a turbocharged 1.6 litre V-6 engine, which is based on Lewis Hamilton's iconic F1 car.
However, the German Federal Motor Transport Authority has confirmed that the engine is not related to the recall.
The issue stems from the vehicle's active rear spoiler's hydraulic line, which might be missing a pin lock.

All recalled cars must be examined, so split pins can be installed.
Overall, the fix should take around 90 minutes - though it could prevent serious injury.
Nearly 80 per cent of the AMG Ones produced have been affected, as 219 of the cars have been recalled.

Only 275 of the cars were produced and one motor costs an eyewatering £2.5 million.
The impacted vehicles were produced between December 12, 2022, and May 9, 2025.

There have been two incidents of AMG Ones catching fire, though the German Transport Authority (known as the Kraftfahrt-Bundesamt) has said neither incident was related to the pin lock defect.
The AMG One first entered development in September 2017 but took years to finish.
Mercedes-AMG finally finished the model in 2022.
Motorists had to wait even longer for the car to hit the roads with AMG Ones only becoming available to buy in 2023.
The news comes after the UK Government
It is hoped that this will save the brand's Sunderland factory, though Nissan have not yet announced the fate of the plant.

LEWIS HAMILTON'S DIFFICULT start to life at Ferrari continued on Friday as he was handed a warning by the race stewards after winding up 10th in second practice for the Austrian Grand Prix. The seven-time champion was alleged to have impeded his successor at Mercedes, Italian teenage rookie Kimi Antonelli, at turn four of the fast and technical Red Bull Ring circuit in the Styrian Alps. Hamilton apologised immediately and explained that he had not seen Antonelli approaching behind him as he descended over the crest of a hill on a slow lap and drifted into the racing line. Hamilton raised his hand to signal his apology to Antonelli as he passed him. After speaking to Hamilton, the stewards decided to give the Briton a formal warning — the usual sanction for such a misdemeanour in practice. It is the third time this season that Hamilton has been warned. 'The driver of car 44 (Hamilton), although constantly checking his mirrors after being informed by the team about car 12 (Antonelli) closing in, slowly moved on to the racing line on the approach to turn four and thereby unnecessarily impeded car 12 which had to take evasive action,' said the stewards in a statement. Hamilton was given a three-place grid drop at the Monaco Grand Prix where he impeded four-time champion Max Verstappen in qualifying when his race engineer Riccardo Adami wrongly informed him that the Dutchman was not on a flying lap. Russell told Sky Sports F1 that it was entirely 'normal that conversations with the likes of Verstappen are ongoing', adding that a team that aims to win the championship has to go for the best drivers, engineers and pit-crews to succeed. 'But from my side, if I'm performing as I'm doing, what have I got to be concerned about? There are two seats in every Formula 1 team.' Wolff has flirted with the idea of recruiting Verstappen for some time, but also expressed satisfaction with the current partnership of Russell and teenage rookie Kimi Antonelli — a precocious talent, but not yet an experienced or metronomic points-scorer. It may be, as many seasoned observers believe, that Wolff feels he can manage the testy rivalry between Russell and Verstappen, who have clashed several times in the last year both on and off the track. But, he conceded, it remains much more likely that Russell will stay at Mercedes next year -– his contract ends this season -– than that Verstappen, who is contracted to Red Bull until 2028, will arrive. 'He has been part of our programme for 10 years,' Wolff said. 'He's always performed to the expectations and he's continuing to do so. These are normal business contract discussions as I have been doing for 30 years… And contract discussions are not held in Town Halls.' He added in a separate interview: 'At the moment, clearly you need to explore what's happening in the future, but it doesn't change anything of what I said before about George, about Kimi, about the line-up that I'm extremely happy having'. Lando Norris puts Canada crash behind him to set practice pace in Austria
Lando Norris bounced back from his Canada collision with McLaren team-mate Oscar Piastri to finish fastest in practice for the Austrian Grand Prix. Norris' world championship bid was dealt a significant blow in Montreal a fortnight ago when he ran into the back of Piastri and retired from the race. The collision cast him 22 points adrift of Piastri but Norris claimed an early advantage at Spielberg's Red Bull Ring by topping the timesheets. Norris finished 0.157 seconds clear of Piastri in a McLaren one-two, with four-time world champion Max Verstappen third. The Dutchman finished three tenths off the pace. Aston Martin's Lance Stroll ended the day in fourth, one place clear of Ferrari's Charles Leclerc. George Russell, who landed his first win of the season in Montreal, slipped to sixth having set the pace in the opening running of the weekend earlier on Friday. For Lewis Hamilton, it was another difficult day at the wheel of his Ferrari. A gearbox problem restricted Hamilton's programme in the first session and then he was only 10th quickest in the day's concluding running. 'For some reason I have just got no pace,' said Hamilton on the radio, with his best lap nearly a second off the leading time and three tenths adrift of Leclerc in the other Ferrari. "We have known each other for such a long time, so there is no such thing as a delay. There is no such thing as saying things I wouldn't want him to say. 'We are very transparent in the team of what we do, what we plan. 'We've been like that since I was being put in charge of that. So that's not the issue. At the moment clearly, you need to explore what's happening in the future .' Eyebrows have been raised over whether Verstappen and Russell could fit in a team together with the duo having a history of bad blood. 6 The most recent incident involved When asked if the pair could drive together at Mercedes, Wolff added: 'I can imagine every line-up. 'Nico Rosberg and Lewis Hamilton fighting for a world championship , so everything else afterwards is easy. 'There's pros and cons of having two drivers fighting each other hard. We've seen examples where that functioned and other examples where it didn't. 'When it comes to the contract situation, you know, our sport is pressure, constant pressure, whether you're in the car, outside of the car, you just need to cope with that. 'George knows that, like any other driver.' 6 Max Verstappen was handed a 10-second penalty and three penalty points for "undoubtedly" causing his collision with George Russell in Barcelona Earlier this year Wolff said zero negotiations had been held with Verstappen and that they were not 'flirting' with the prospect of signing him. And for me, that is being integral and humble about the situation, respectful of the people. 'That's what we are trying to do in the team. I've been in situations like this before. Some of the conversations are more difficult than others.'
