The results of the Andhra Pradesh Engineering Common Entrance Test (AP ECET) were released by the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU) Anantapur on Thursday.
Out of the 34,224 candidates who sat for the examination, an impressive 31,922 students, representing 93.26 per cent, successfully qualified. B. Durga Prasad, the AP ECET convener, confirmed the results, highlighting the strong performance of the candidates.

Kakinada: Governor and Chancellor of JNTU-Kakinada S Abdul Nazeer presided over the XI Convocation of the University here on Friday. Delivering the convocation address, the Governor said Andhra Pradesh is set to establish India's first full-stack Quantum Valley under the National Quantum Mission, integrating quantum computing, AI, and sustainable technologies by 2026, which will foster high-end employment and frontier technological capability and place Andhra Pradesh at the forefront of quantum and deep-technology advancement in Asia. The Governor commended the university for its consistent efforts in revising the curriculum every three years and conducting convocations regularly, ensuring a timely conferral of degrees and congratulated the students who received their degrees, gold medals and merit certificates in the Convocation. Earlier, Prof C S R K Prasad, vice-chancellor of JNTU-Kakinada, presented the university's annual report. Kota Subrahmanyam, an alumnus of the university was the chief guest-cum-orator and delivered the convocation lecture. He was conferred the Honoris Causa by the university. Sameera Nazeer, First Lady, Dr M Hari Jawaharlal, ex-officio secretary to Governor and other dignitaries attended the convocation. Later, Prof C S R K Prasad felicitated the Governor and other guests with shawl and memento on behalf of the university.

A.P. Governor exhorts students to be prepared for Quantum Valley

Governor S. Abdul Nazeer has exhorted the students to be prepared for India's first full-stack Quantum Valley that is set to be established in Amaravati by 2026. The Quantum Valley, being set up by the Andhra Pradesh government under the National Quantum Mission, plans to integrate quantum computing, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and sustainable technologies. Delivering the XIth Convocational address of the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU-Kakinada) on Friday at the university campus, Mr. Nazeer said, 'The Quantum Valley aims to foster innovation, high-end employment and environmental sustainability in Amaravati. The Valley will integrate quantum computing, AI, semiconductor research, defence innovation, fostering high-end employment and frontier technological capability'. State's goal 'The Valley will place the State at the forefront of quantum and deep technology advancement in Asia. The project aligns with Amaravati's goal of becoming the world's first city powered entirely by renewable energy using solar, wind, and hydro energy sources efficiently,' the Governor said. On the role of higher educational institutes, Mr. Nazeer said, 'The universities today must focus on emerging technologies such as Quantum technology, Artificial Intelligence, IOT, 5G e-mobility, renewable energy, logistics, robotics and bio and nano technologies'. He further advocated for a culture of innovation, critical thinking and hands-on experience that should replace the root learning, while stressing that teaching methods must be modernised. Emphasizing that the research must become the heartbeat of the universities, the Governor directed the higher educational institutions to prioritise original and impactful research that addresses the challenges of the society. 'Beyond academics, higher education must prepare students to thrive in the digital era, focusing on ethics and skill integration', the Governor said. Boston Group Chairman K. Subramanyam in his address told the students that the world is open to them and it is up to them to take an advantage of it as it is the exciting time for India that is making giant strides in space, AI and defence research. The Chairman was conferred with the Honoris Causa by Governor Mr. Abdul Nazeer. As many as 99 research scholars received Ph.D degrees during the XIth convocation. JNTU-Kakinada Vice-Chancellor P.S.R.K. Prasad shared the university's progress during his address.

The Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU), Hyderabad, has officially released the provisional answer keys for the Telangana State Postgraduate Engineering Common Entrance Test (TS PGECET) today, June 17, 2025. Along with the provisional answer key, the response sheets and question papers have also been made available on the official website, This release pertains to the TS PGECET 2025 examinations conducted on June 16. Candidates now have the opportunity to review their answers and raise objections, if any, until 5 PM on June 19, 2025. The TS PGECET 2025 is being conducted from June 16 to June 19 for admission into postgraduate engineering, technology, architecture, and pharmacy courses across colleges in Telangana.
