Chicago results: Shane van Gisbergen wins NASCAR Xfinity race
It is the second year in a row that van Gisbergen has won this event.

He is the sixth different driver to win this season for JR Motorsports. He won after starting on the pole and leading 27 of the 50 laps on the 12-turn, 2.2-mile street course.
In the five races (Cup and Xfinity) run on the streets of Chicago, van Gisbergen has won three times.
Zilisch finished second. He was followed by Sheldon Creed, Austin Hill and Nick Sanchez, giving him back-to-back top-five finishes for the first time in his career after his victory last weekend in Atlanta.

Ramp closure in south Shreveport for morning hours. Check out where and when
South Shreveport residents will see a change in traffic this month with continued work on the Interstate 49 southbound off-ramp. According to the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development, work on the Southern Loop off-ramp will result in the ramp closure starting July 7 through July 31 from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. DOTD said this is necessary to allow for construction on the new adjacent lane at the off-ramp. The purpose of this project is to provide increased traffic capacity at the off-ramp in an effort to improve safety by decreasing congestion and back-ups. NHL News: Former Bruins Forward Calls It A Career
A former Boston Bruin is officially hanging up the skates. Through a post on his Instagram account, former Bruins forward Tyler Johnson officially announced his retirement from the NHL. Johnson, 34, spent the final portion of his NHL career with the Bruins during the 2024-25 season. In nine games with the Original Six club, he recorded two assists, 10 penalty minutes, and a minus-1 rating. Advertisement Johnson's time with the Bruins ended last December when he and the team mutually agreed to terminate his contract. From there, Johnson became an unrestricted free agent (UFA) and did not sign with another club. While Johnson's time with the Bruins was brief, there is no question that the Washington native had a strong NHL career. In 747 career NHL games split between the Tampa Bay Lightning, Chicago Blackhawks, and Bruins, he posted 193 goals, 240 assists, 433 points, and a plus-19 rating. He also won the Stanley Cup twice as a member of the Lightning and was an All-Star in 2014-15.
