These initiatives, led by the Labour Fund (Tamkeen) and His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, aim to upskill citizens in partnership with the Ministry of Labour and the private sector.
His Excellency Yousif bin Abdulhussain Khalaf expressed gratitude for HRH's support and affirmed the Ministry's commitment to empowering Bahraini citizens, aligning with HRH's directives. Germany, Wales, and Scotland permit voting at 16 for local or regional elections, but most European countries still set the national voting age at 18. The move could backfire for the Labour government. Just 43 percent of young people are supportive of the two legacy parties in Britain, Labour and the Conservatives, with the data suggesting they are sympathetic to left and right-wing causes. With talk of a potential splinter party from Labour in the pipeline being set up by far-left MPs Zara Sultana and former Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn, and the indisputable success Reform U.K. had at the last general election through its use of social media targeting young people, Keir Starmer's party could find itself being squeezed from both sides.

Winners of the fourth edition of the "Imtiaz" Initiative have called on aspiring Bahraini women entrepreneurs to apply for the upcoming fifth edition. They described the initiative as a life-changing experience that not only elevated their businesses but also empowered them with mentorship, new networks, and confidence to grow sustainably. The "Imtiaz" Initiative, launched by the Supreme Council for Women under the leadership of HRH Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, wife of HM the King and President of the Council, aims to celebrate, support, and promote young female entrepreneurs in Bahrain. A Boost to Business and Confidence Hessa Al Binflah, founder and CEO of HFD Design Studio, said winning the Imtiaz award marked a turning point in her career. 'It shined a light on my achievements and gave me a roadmap to grow. Through expert mentorship and networking opportunities, I gained insights that would've taken years to uncover on my own,' she explained. She encouraged fellow businesswomen to apply, saying: 'Even participating opens doors to invaluable learning and growth.' Fatima Al Ansari, owner of Fatima Al Ansari Design Studio, described Imtiaz as a game-changer. 'The award boosted my credibility, expanded my client base, and gave my brand stronger visibility both locally and regionally,' she said. His Royal Highness said initiatives like C-SIPA not only bolster regional deterrence but also expand collaboration in commerce, science, and technology among like-minded states, contributing to long-term peace and prosperity in the Middle East. HRH Prince Salman described the agreement as a cornerstone for regional security architecture, enabling collective deterrence against external threats while reinforcing Bahrain's standing as a reliable and proactive security partner.
