William and Kate release new photo of George to celebrate his 12th birthday

Independenta day ago
Prince George has turned 12, with the Prince and Princess of Wales releasing a new photograph of their eldest child to mark the occasion.
The future king – one year away from being a teenager – is pictured outdoors, smiling and relaxed as he leans on a rustic wooden gate in Norfolk.
George is wearing a white checked shirt with rolled up sleeves and a dark green fleece gilet, and a blue and white friendship bracelet can be seen on his left wrist as he rests his folded arms on the gate.
The image, posted on Kensington Palace's social media, was taken by photographer Josh Shinner earlier this year.
It was accompanied by the message: 'Happy 12th Birthday to Prince George!' followed by a cake emoji.
George, whose birthday falls during his summer break from school, has one year left at his prep school Lambrook before he moves on to his senior school – with either Eton or Marlborough College thought to be the frontrunners.
The prince joined his parents and sister Princess Charlotte at the Wimbledon men's final earlier this month, where he used a fan to keep cool in the Royal Box in the blazing afternoon sun.
In June, George was seen nudging his boisterous younger brother Louis on the Buckingham Palace balcony to wave more calmly at the crowd following the Trooping the Colour ceremony.
Prince George Alexander Louis was born in the private Lindo Wing of St Mary's Hospital, Paddington, London, at 4.24pm on July 22 2013, weighing 8lb 6oz.
He made his debut in front of the world's media on the hospital steps one day later, wrapped in a white merino wool shawl, cradled in his mother's arms.

Bryan Mbeumo excited to follow in Ronaldo's footsteps at ‘biggest club' Man Utd

Bryan Mbeumo began playing football in a Manchester United shirt with Cristiano Ronaldo on the back and is overjoyed to have the chance to follow in the great's footsteps at the 'biggest club in the world'. After seven weeks and some tense talks between the clubs, the 25-year-old finally completed his move from Brentford on Monday for £65million plus a potential £6million in add-ons. Advertisement Mbeumo has signed a deal until 2030, with the option of a further season, at what he calls the 'club of my dreams' – one whose shirt he wore as a kid growing up in France. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Manchester United (@manchesterunited) 'From the start I wanted to join this club, this massive club, and now I'm here and I'm just really happy,' the Cameroon international told club media. 'For me, it's the biggest club in the world, in England as well. I think the fans are crazy, the stadium is amazing, and I think every player wants to play here. 'I think my first top was a Manchester United top with Ronaldo behind. It's just such a big club and, yeah, I'm really happy to be here.' Mbeumo says he idolised Ronaldo and Lionel Messi growing up, as well as admiring Neymar and Eden Hazard, and joins Matheus Cunha in bolstering what has been a blunt United attack. 'I think it's really important for me joining a new club,' Mbeumo said. 'It's important to create links as soon as possible, automatism as well with the team-mates, so in and out the pitch. 'The spirit is really important. Yeah, create a group, being involved as soon as possible, for me, it's something really important.' Mbeumo links up with United after scoring 20 Premier League goals for Brentford under Thomas Frank, who has since moved on to Tottenham and is someone he sees similarly to new boss Ruben Amorim. Advertisement 'I think they have similar values,' he said. 'He seems really close to his players and his mentality, his winning thinking every time. This is a thing that I need. 'It seems to be a really good group. I think the spirit is really important for winning and, yeah, with the gaffer I heard only good things about the team.'

Ozzy Osbourne's little-known son and daughter from 1st marriage pay touching tribute to their rock legend dad

OZZY Osbourne's little-known son and daughter from his first marriage have paid heartwarming tributes to their dad after his death. The rock icon died at home in his stunning mansion in Welders, Buckinghamshire, just weeks after his emotional farewell show. 8 8 8 8 Ozzy passed away aged 76, surrounded by his family on Tuesday morning, after bravely battling against Parkinson's disease. His children Jack, Kelly, Aimee, and Louis, were named along with wife Sharon in the statement. And lesser-spotted Louis chose to pay his respects with his own tribute to his father on social media. Ozzy's son changed his Facebook profile picture to an all-black screen. Before tying the knot to Sharon, Ozzy had married his first wife Thelma Riley in 1971 after meeting her in a Birmingham nightclub. Together, they welcomed children Jessica and Louis, who have been largely away from the limelight. Jessica, who was not included in the family statement, also posted a tribute to rock legend Ozzy on Instagram. Her story featured a pictures of her late father in black and white with the words "RIP Ozzy". The tribute was accompanied by Ozzy's song 'Crazy Train' playing in the background. Jessica made the Black Sabbath frontman a grandparent for the first time but never appeared in The Osbournes' TV show. However, she was mentioned in the episode 'Smells Like Teen Spirits' when Ozzy learned that she had welcomed a daughter. Although his wild behaviour would have been enough to see some artists blacklisted, Ozzy became a loveable rogue who captured fans' hearts across the globe. In 2001, Ozzy appealed to a whole new audience after appearing in reality TV show The Osbournes with his family. Its first series was the most-watched show ever on MTV and propelled Jack and Kelly into stardom, with the latter enjoying a music career of her own. With the family's success growing, they hosted the 30th Annual American Music Awards and later the Brit Awards in London. The family's hugely popular show ran until 2005 and portrayed heartbreaking moments for the family - including Sharon's battle with cancer and the quad bike accident that nearly killed Ozzy. The family later starred in the reality series The Osbournes Want to Believe and special The Osbournes: Night of Terror, which both focused on paranormal investigations. 8 8 8 8

"When Ozzy was there word spread and it became very difficult to drive through the village as fans flocked to the area."Everybody was spread all over the road."Mr Andrews said he was "privileged" to listen to the recordings at his family home."He'd get us all to listen to it and ask us what we thought." He added: "We have lost an icon and a great man. "What a guy. What a life. He was the kind prince of darkness."
