Lulu IT Twin Towers to be inaugurated on June 28

Lulu IT Twin Towers, developed by the Lulu Group, will be inaugurated at SmartCity, Kakkanad, on Saturday (June 28, 2025). Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan will inaugurate the project.
The IT complex, developed with an investment of ₹1,500 crore, comprises two identical towers with 30 floors each. The project spans 12.74 acres. Together, the twin towers have a built-up area of 3.5 million square feet, with 2.5 million square feet available for lease. The project is envisioned as a future-ready hub for IT and AI-driven enterprises, according to a communication.
The project can accommodate over 30,000 IT and ITeS professionals. According to a communication, the group aims to create over 50,000 professional employment opportunities through Lulu IT Parks over the next three years.
The LEED Platinum pre-certified green building seamlessly integrates sustainability with modern workplace design. The towers are equipped with 67 high-speed elevators and 12 escalators to ensure smooth internal mobility. Expansive floor plates ranging from 37,000 to 45,000 square feet offer flexibility for contemporary workspaces.
An on-site helipad has also been set up at the complex. A fully automated robotic parking system, with 3,200 robotic and 1,300 conventional parking spaces, which can accommodate a total of 4500 vehicles across three levels have been set up.
Additional features of the project include a 2,500-seater food court, gymnasium, crèche, banking services, lounges, display kiosks, a 600-seater conference hall, walking trails, gardens, and open-air seating areas, according to the communication.

KOCHI: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Saturday inaugurated the LuLu Group's state-of-the-art IT Twin Towers at SmartCity, Kakkanad --- a landmark Rs 1,500-crore project that adds key momentum to the state's transformation into a digitally driven, knowledge-powered economy. Strategically located within the SmartCity Kochi SEZ, the 152-metre-tall towers are the tallest and largest IT infrastructure in South India, offering a total built-up area of 3.5 million sqft, with 2.5 million sqft of leasable space. Designed to accommodate over 30,000 IT professionals, the towers currently house four companies -- EXL, OPI, Dynamed and Selise --- which have taken up 2.5 lakh sqft. 'Kerala is transitioning into a digitally driven economy, and landmark infrastructure projects like the LuLu IT Twin Towers are vital in attracting global tech investments and generating employment for our youth. LuLu Group's continued commitment to investing in Kerala is commendable and much appreciated in today's economic climate,' the chief minister said at the launch. He also announced the LuLu Group's upcoming Rs 500-crore investment in a new IT tower at Infopark Phase 2, which will span 9.5 lakh sqft and is expected to create 7,500 additional jobs, further boosting Kerala's IT sector. LuLu Group chairman Yusuffali M A described the twin towers as 'a symbol of our vision to make Kerala a competitive hub for global technology players' and emphasised the project's role in driving re-migration by creating high-quality job opportunities for youth within Kerala. Leader of Opposition V D Satheesan called the towers 'an architectural and technological marvel' and added that the investment by LuLu Group 'inspires confidence in Kerala as a hub for high-end innovation.' State BJP chief Rajeev Chandrasekhar said the infrastructure 'will act as a catalyst for Kerala's digital economy and support the return of skilled professionals to the state.' Key features of the towers include robotic parking for 4,500 vehicles, 67 high-speed elevators, a 2,500-seater food court, 600-seater conference hall, and on-site helipad. Also present were ministers P Rajeeve and G R Anil, Hibi Eden MP, Deputy Opposition Leader P K Kunhalikutty, Uma Thomas MLA, and senior LuLu Group officials.

Kochi: With several major IT infrastructure projects in the pipeline — including a new project by a private group in Infopark Phase II and the newly inaugurated IT Twin Towers in SmartCity — hopes for Kochi's IT sector are being rekindled. Chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan, while inaugurating the Lulu IT Twin Towers on the SmartCity campus on Saturday, announced that the Lulu Group will also set up a new IT tower in Infopark Phase II, Kakkanad. The Rs 500-crore project will come up on 3.5 acres near the Brahmapuram bridge and offer 9.5 lakh square feet of built-up space. The tower is expected to generate at least 7,500 jobs, and the state govt has pledged full support for the venture. Recently, UST Global has started construction of its new campus on 8.5 acres in Infopark Phase II, which is projected to provide direct employment to around 5,000 IT and ITeS professionals. The Lulu Twin Towers itself is expected to create approximately 30,000 jobs. The launch of the Twin Towers is expected to give a revitalize the long-stalled SmartCity development. Further boosting the region's IT ecosystem, industries minister P Rajeeve recently laid the foundation stone for Geojit's IT park in Infopark Phase II. The 16-storey, 1.3 lakh square foot building is scheduled for completion within two years. Additional projects include the World Trade Centre Tower III in Infopark Phase I, a 37-acre TCS campus in Kinfra Park and V-Guard's upcoming IT park, which is nearing completion. Prestige Group's Phase II project is also under consideration in SmartCity, and Infopark's extension campus at the South Metro station is expected to begin operations soon. These developments are set to increase the current IT workforce in Infopark, SmartCity, and nearby campuses from 1 lakh to an estimated 1.5 lakh. Meanwhile, Infopark authorities are awaiting final govt clearance for a proposed third campus spanning 500 acres in Kunnathunadu panchayat. The plan, jointly initiated by Infopark and the GCDA using a land pooling model, is pending approval.

Kochi: Giving a major boost to IT infrastructure in the state, chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan inaugurated LuLu IT Twin Towers on SmartCity campus in Kochi on Saturday. The state-of-the-art complex, developed with an investment of Rs 1,500cr, was unveiled in the presence of ministers, industry leaders and eminent personalities from various walks of life. Located within SmartCity Kochi special economic zone (SEZ), the project is expected to bring leading global companies to SmartCity campus and generate around 30,000 employment opportunities. While inaugurating the project, Vijayan said the state is transitioning into a digitally driven economy and infrastructure projects like LuLu IT Twin Towers are vital in attracting global tech investments and generating employment for our youth. "If we truly seek development, everyone, including govt, private sector and various political and social organizations, must come together in unity," he said. The CM informed that LuLu group will launch another IT tower project with an investment of Rs 500cr on Infopark Phase II campus in Kochi. A host of employee-friendly amenities are integrated into the three-storey amenity block, which also features a conference hall designed for business meetings, forums and tech events. Landscaped podium, gardens and open-air seating areas are other attractions. Currently, LuLu operates Cyber Tower 1 and Cyber Tower 2 on Infopark campus, which house leading global companies and provide employment to over 15,000 professionals.
