Lucy Bronze: England will give full support to Portugal after Diogo Jota's death
Bronze, who was born in Berwick-Upon-Tweed to a Portuguese father and an English mother, said the Lionesses were stunned when word travelled through the camp in Zurich, where they are preparing to open their title defence against France on Saturday.

'Yeah it definitely shocked all the squad when we woke up this morning and the news started to spread,' said Bronze, who will be competing in her fourth consecutive Euros and seventh major tournament.
'Obviously we have a lot of Liverpool fans in our team and football fans, but for people in general, everyone is just thinking of them – him and his brother. They were so young as well. We have seen all the messages on social media and stuff so you can tell what a great guy he has been. It's just really sad and we were shocked by the news, really.'
A moment of silence will be observed at all of Thursday and Friday's matches in memory of Jota and his brother Andre Silva.
Bronze added: 'We'll be watching the games tonight and Portugal play their first game against Spain and I know there will be a minute's silence held before that game.
'I think everyone in an England shirt and everyone in the tournament will be supporting the Portuguese team because they will be a lot closer to this than we are.
'It is just a really sad moment for everyone involved in football, knowing what a great guy he is and what an amazing year he's had – not just in football, but he got married a few weeks ago and he's got some little kids. It's just so sad.'
A Lionesses statement read: 'We are devastated at the tragic loss of Diogo Jota and his brother Andre Silva. It is truly difficult to comprehend.
'The Lionesses send our heartfelt condolences to Diogo's family and friends, and all the players, staff and fans connected to Liverpool FC, his former clubs and the Portugal national teams.
'We stand beside the Portuguese team here in Switzerland and the whole football family in honouring Diogo and Andre's memory.'

Aasgaard qualifies for Norway due to the fact his father is from there but he himself was born in Liverpool, and that's also where his pro football journey started. It was a decision that worked out as Aasgaard racked up over 150 appearances for the Latics, building a reputation for himself as a goalscoring midfielder in League One. He said: "I played for Liverpool for five years. "I was a young kid, 14, moved to Wigan, and kind of developed through the academy there and made my debut when I was 18. "It was four or five years of progression, really. It kind of started off quite raw, playing a lot of games, but just finding my feet. "And then coming into the age of 19, 20, I really started to impose myself on our team. We won the league and won it well and got promoted, and it was a chance to show myself in the championship. "I think I did quite well, although we got relegated. But last season and the season before was really where I started to step into my own body and really become the player I am. "I grew a lot of confidence and scored some goals." Aasgaard signed for Luton in the January transfer window last season as the Hatters looked to desperately cling on to their Championship status. While they ultimately couldn't fend off the threat of relegation, Aasgaard left a mark on Kenilworth Road with fans and boss Matt Bloomfield sad to see him leave. Aasgaard said: "I went there to try and help them, and unfortunately, it didn't go as we planned. "But, you know, I'd like to think I gave my all, and I loved my time there. Loved every minute." Whilst at Luton, Aasgaard made his debut for Norway in a World Cup qualifier against Moldova. As first caps go it was a dream, as he scored the third goal in a 5-0 win. Also on the scoresheet that night? A certain Erling Haaland. Martin Odegaard captained the side that evening too, playing in midfield alongside Aasgaard. "They really took me in well," said Aasgaard. "To be fair, I feel really part of the group. We've got a top, top group. We've had a strong start to the World Cup qualifiers. "So, yeah, to play in the World Cup next year is a big goal for me. "Hopefully I can show the manager that I'm ready with some performances here." Not only does he want to show the national team manager what he's capable of right away, but Aasgaard is keen for the Rangers fans to see what he's all about. He said: "I feel at home already. The facilities are fantastic. It's a really good change in me. I can't wait. "It just feels like the right thing in my career. To be playing in front of some amazing fans at an amazing stadium, it's what I've been dreaming of. "I'd say I have a bit of flair, I'm full of confidence and not afraid to shoot from distance. "I like to link up with my teammates and form connections at the top of the pitch.
