A couple got engaged at the Philadelphia International Airport (PHL), where their unique love story began.
The airport shared a video on social media about how the major transportation port brought Matthew Brenner and Lesley Venella together.
The pair met in February 2023, according to PHL, when Brenner saw Venella taking a photo in front of a "Welcome to Philadelphia" sign after his flight from Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
The gentleman offered to take her photo and the rest was history. The two exchanged phone numbers and began a long-distance relationship.
Brenner then "packed a single checked bag, sold his karate school and moved over 1,000 miles to build a life with Lesley."
Now, over two years later, the husband-to-be popped the big question to Venella at the same airport where they met. In fact, he brought them back to the exact area where they exchanged their first words and even covered the welcome sign to read "Will you marry me?"

The couple were joined by their parents at the airport and "over 100 strangers" who had stuck around to witness the sweet proposal.
"Congratulations, Matthew and Lesley. You met as strangers in our terminal and now you're building a life together. We are truly honored that PHL was the starting point for your love story," the airport wrote in the video.
The couple spoke with WPHL about their dreamy meet-cute and proposal.
Looking back on their fateful first encounter, Venella said, "We were waiting for our respective rides to come and get us from the airport, so we were kind of up against the clock. We exchanged numbers, and then I was only scheduled to be in for the weekend. But I told him that I would cancel my flight to return to Florida on Monday if he would take me out the following day."
Brenner admitted that he thought the relationship would be "a fun, like, little fling, or something," at first due to their distance, given that she was based in Florida while he lived in Philadelphia.
"But then as things grew, I was like, 'Oh, wait, this person's actually amazing.' And I was like, there's no better feeling in the world to find someone that's incredible and, and that you're willing to literally pack up your bags and move for them, like, really uproot your whole life," he added.
As for the proposal, Brenner did not expect to get such a passionate response from passersby. He recalled the large crowd at baggage claim being "sat there with their phones out."
"And there was like this, like thunderous roar, and I didn't expect that. These people actually got a better view than our families," the man said.

"Why can't this happen to me? I work in the airport," joked another.
A third person said they "absolutely love this" and gave the couple their blessing.

The First New Live-Action ‘Power Rangers' Material In Years Is… a Fortnite Ad

When celebrations for Power Rangers' 30th anniversary wrapped up a few years ago with the release of Once and Always and the conclusion of Cosmic Fury, the franchise's future was left in doubt. Rumored reboots stalled, Hasbro picked apart the series' legacy at auction and through AI-enhanced MMPR rereleases—even with the news that Disney would once again become the home of a new era of Power Rangers earlier this year, right now the series' live-action form has felt dormant. That is, until today, in a very peculiar way. This morning Epic Games unveiled the next season of Fortnite, 'Shock 'N Awesome', which is set to come to the battle royale shooter at the end of this week. Bringing a Starship Troopers-esque insectoid invasion to the game's island setting, it seems like players are going to have to contend with more than just each other whenever they drop from the battle bus… but they won't be alone. Well, for a price. The first major collaboration confirmed for the new season today is with Power Rangers, which will bring the Mighty Morphin' team (who else would it be?) to the game. And do so in style, as Epic confirmed the crossover in the only way it could: a '90s-nostalgia-bomb live-action trailer that sees the Red, Yellow, and Blue Rangers team up with some familiar Fortnite faces to battle some bugs. The trailer itself is great, but it is kind of ludicrous that the first official live-action Power Rangers material we've seen since 2023 at this point is for a Fortnite ad. A small price to pay to watch Jason (or Rocky!) spin a minigun around blasting giant bugs with pyrotechnic effects while a remix of the Mighty Morphin' theme blares in the background, I suppose. A presumably less-small price is what you'll be paying to play as the Power Rangers in Fortnite. They won't immediately drop in-game when 'Shock N' Awesome' releases this week (although it appears that Tommy Oliver as the Green Ranger will be part of the season's battle pass, at least), but they will be available in the Fortnite store from mid-August, according to Epic, as a skin bundle of all five primary Rangers, as well as extra accessories, including a music track for the new theme remix that can be used in Fortnite Festival and other areas of the game. They're not the only Power Rangers additions to the new season, however. Owners of the new seasonal battle pass will be able to do quests to unlock a Dino Megazord skin from September 16, tying into a midseason event that will let players 'power up' as the Megazord—presumably similar to how the game's recent collaboration with Godzilla played out, letting players stomp around the island. Fortnite's new season will launch August 7. Want more io9 news? ElevenLabs launches an AI music generator, which it claims is cleared for commercial use

The AI audio-generation unicorn ElevenLabs announced a new model on Tuesday that allows users to generate music, which it claims is cleared for commercial use. This move marks ElevenLabs' expansion beyond its main focus thus far in its three years of existence, which has been building AI audio tools. ElevenLabs is a leader among companies making text-to-speech AI products, and it has expanded into conversational bots and tools that translate speech into other languages. Alongside the launch, Eleven Labs shared samples of its AI-generated music. One features a synthetic voice rapping about how it 'came up through the cracks with ambition in my pocket' and left its hometown, traveling from 'Compton to the Cosmos.' It's unsettling to hear a computer reflect the influence and language of artists like Dr. Dre, N.W.A., and Kendrick Lamar, who actually lived the experiences that this technology is attempting to emulate. Given these concerns around what material AI music generation tools are trained on, it's not so straightforward for startups to delve into music generation. Last year, Suno and Udio were sued by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), the trade organization that represents the U.S. music industry. These lawsuits allege that Suno and Udio trained their music-generation models on copyrighted material. The companies are now reportedly discussing licensing deals with major record labels. ElevenLabs also announced deals with Merlin Network and Kobalt Music Group, two digital publishing platforms for independent musicians, to use their materials for AI training. According to Merlin's website, the company represents major artists like Adele, Nirvana, Mitski, Carly Rae Jepsen, and Phoebe Bridgers; Kobalt represents stars like Beck, Bon Iver, and Childish Gambino. The terms of these deals are not known, nor whether these artists' music has been included in training data.
