His appearance follows a renewed call from the union for WSIB leadership to finalize a fair deal before Canada Day, as the strike by more than 3,600 frontline workers stretches over two months.

'This strike cannot drag on any longer,' said Goslin. 'The WSIB has delayed long enough. Our bargaining team is a fully empowered decision-making body. What's missing is a mandate from WSIB leadership — especially the CEO — to finalize a deal and end this disruption.'
These essential workers process injury claims, support safe return-to-work plans and deliver critical services to injured Ontarians. Despite repeated efforts by the union to reach a resolution, WSIB leadership has not tabled a final offer or allowed a member vote.
'We're calling on the WSIB to pull out all the stops and get this done before Canada Day,' said Goslin. 'It's time to finish the deal — and restore stability for injured workers across Ontario.'

July 2025 GST and HST credit payments come out tomorrow. Find out if you're eligible — and why your payments could increase
The third GST/HST credit benefit payments of 2025 come out this week on Friday, July 4, for eligible Canadians. The goods and services tax/harmonized sales tax (GST/HST) credit is a tax-free quarterly payment for people and families with 'low and modest incomes' to offset the GST or HST they pay. It may also include payments from provincial and territorial programs. You are automatically considered for the GST/HST credit when you file your taxes, according to the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) . Other payments coming for eligible Canadians and Ontarians this month include the Ontario Trillium Benefit (OTB), Canada Child Benefit (CCB), Canada Pension Plan (CPP), Old Age Security (OAS), Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP) and the Veteran Disability Pension. The new Canada Disability Benefit payments will also start in July for those whose applications were received and approved by June 30. The final benefit payment of the year comes in the fall, on Oct. 3.
