The extremely funny Kevin Zak—who has contributed jokes to Death Becomes Her , had a Kenneth Starr–ing role in Clinton: The Musical and created an Instagram industry of memes about Nicole Kidman and Amy Klobuchar—is the writer and director of this campily irreverent send-up of The Parent Trap. Russell Daniels and Aneesa Folds star as identical twins bent on reuniting their estranged parents, played by Lakisha May and Matthew Wilkas, and thwarting the plots of a gold digger played by Phillip Taratula. Tha cast is fleshed out by Jimmy Ray Bennett, Grace Reiter and Mitch Wood. The hugely underrated foodie seaside town that is one of the best day trips from London

Everyone wants something different out of a day trip. There are the people that just want to lie horizontal on the beach for hours, the ones who want to stop by as many historic sites as possible, and the ones who will spend all their time collecting trinkets from indie shops and galleries. Then, there are the people that go to new places with just one thing on the agenda: good food. Of Time Out's 20 best places for a day trip from London in 2025, there's one place that stands out when it comes to outstanding bars and restaurants to rival those here in the capital. It's... Deal! And you can get there from St Pancras in just one hour and 20 minutes. In Time Out's guide to the town's best bits, travel writer and Deal local Kate Wicks said: 'Along the award-winning High Street, you'll find a wealth of independent shops, bars, and restaurants, but it's Deal's sedate (yet uplifting) atmosphere that remains its biggest draw. Ten miles from Dover, this is a town beside the sea, rather than a seaside town (for kiss-me-quick amusements, head to Margate): it's creative, classy and also happens to be one of the UK's top hidden foodie destinations.' Arrive hungry – Deal is full to the brim with exceptional grub. So much, in fact, that it's Time Out's favourite foodie getaway in the country. There's the classic fish 'n chips from Middle Street Fish Bar, the crab doughnuts at The Rose hotel, the French dishes at Cherub's, Japanese izakaya at The Blue Pelican, the organic wines at Le Pinardier wine bar, the swanky lunch at 81 Beach Street and the pig's head and haggis terrine at Frog & Scot. But there's only so much eating and drinking you can do. Kate also recommends wandering around the historic Deal Castle, filling your boots at Deal Town Market, seeing some art at Linden Hall Studio and spinning vinyl at Smuggler's Records. Make sure to go down to the seafront too, and look at for a grey seal or admire Deal's historic Victorian pier (which is getting a £1 million facelift next year). Friday's just got Freakier as Jamie Lee Curtis reveals all about the new Freaky Friday sequel

We've waited 22 years, and now our favourite freaky and dysfunctional family is back on the big screen! In the hit 2003 film Freaky Friday, Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan starred as a warring mother-daughter duo who were forced to join forces when a freaky encounter with a cryptic fortune cookie led to a life-changing body swap... and chaos ensued. Now things are set to get even freakier as they 'switch things up' for a second time, with a whole new generation of family members, and legendary Hollywood actress Jamie Lee Curtis joined Dermot and Rochelle to tell us all about the new adventure. "Freaky Friday" was a global box office hit upon its release in 2003, and to this day, it remains a career highlight for screen legend Jamie Lee Curtis. 'Freaky Friday' was probably one of my favourite things that I ever did,' says Curtis. 'There are many reasons why it was my favourite, but the first and most important reason is that I had no time to prepare for it. "I found out about the movie on a Thursday, and I was shooting it on a Monday, and the fact that I didn't have anytime to prepare allowed me to just go into it wild and free. That, I think, shows in the movie.' Lindsay Lohan, who shot to fame with a star-making turn in Disney's remake of 'The Parent Trap' and went on to star in the classic comedy 'Mean Girls,' has similarly fond memories of her sophomore theatrical film for the studio. 'I just remember being really excited,' Lohan recalls. 'We were having such a great time all the time, so I only have happy memories of being on set. It was just a beautiful experience.' 'It was an unexpected moment for me professionally,' Curtis says, 'And then it became this really pivoting moment because the movie was such an enormous worldwide success.' Through its availability on home video and on Disney+, 'Freaky Friday' has become a global, intergenerational fan favourite. 'Everywhere in the world I went, the one movie that everyone wanted me to make is a sequel to 'Freaky Friday,'' Curtis says. 'That tells you the impact that the movie had around the world.' The press, too, showed an interest in seeing Lohan reteam with Curtis. 'I was always being asked in interviews, 'Would you ever do another 'Freaky Friday'?'' says Lohan. 'It was such a great film and was received so well that there wasn't a doubt in my mind that I wouldn't want to be a part of a sequel.' What's the new Freakier Friday about? It's been 22 years since Anna (played by Lindsay Lohan) and Tess (played by Jamie Lee Curtis) endured an out-of-body identity crisis and switched bodies for one event-filled weekday. Tess Coleman is now a successful psychologist preparing to embark on her first book tour. As wife to Ryan (Mark Harmon), mother to Anna, and grandmother to Harper, she is fiercely devoted and a constant presence in everyone's lives, but she does tend to overstep her boundaries from time to time. Anna, meanwhile, has her hands full juggling a stressful job as manager to popstar Ella (Maitreyi Ramakrishnan), who is in the midst of a painful break-up, which is affecting her creativity and confidence. Anna is also a single mother to teenage daughter Harper (Julia Butters), a 15-year-old die-hard surfer who is having a hard time relating to her mother. When Anna meets Eric Reyes (Manny Jacinto), a single parent and a successful chef with his own restaurant, it is love at first sight. But Eric has a daughter, Lily (Sophia Hammons), a 15-year-old transplant from England who dreams of returning to London to study fashion, and she is adamantly opposed to her father's burgeoning relationship with Anna. Anna and Eric are convinced their two families can indeed exist as one, and they soon decide to get married. As they navigate the myriad challenges that come when two families merge, Tess and Anna discover that lightning might indeed strike twice, as a premonition by Madame Jen (Vanessa Bayer) sends them on a brand-new body-swapping journey. Tess swaps places with Lily, and Anna swaps places with Harper, resulting in hilarious shenanigans and extreme teenage makeovers. Freakier Friday lands in UK cinemas on August 8th 2025.

GMB star makes on-air plea for Lindsay Lohan to 'get in touch' as he reveals connection

Good Morning Britain's Adil Ray shocked co-host Kate Garraway when he revealed that he once went for dinner with Freakier Friday's Lindsay Lohan and she demanded to know more Adil Ray asked for Lindsay Lohan to 'get in touch' with him while he was on air on Friday's Good Morning Britain. ‌ The presenter was back in his usual seat alongside Kate Garraway, and they were joined by former I'm A Celebrity star Melvin Odoom, who had arrived with his showbiz roundup. Having attended the premiere of Freakier Friday last night, Melvin brought up that Adil that met Lindsay, 39, to which the presenter shot back: "You know when we say things off-air, you're not supposed to..." but eventually decided to tell his story. It comes after ITV fans accuse Alan Titchmarsh of 'ruining' garden as foster parents were left sobbing ‌ Adil explained: "I had dinner with Lindsay. Me and Lindsay, we had dinner together." But his co-hosts were not about to let him stop there, as Kate prodded him for more information on the topic. ‌ Adil continued: "She's lovely. It wasn't a date before you had mutual friends, we all went out for dinner together and she came along. She's lovely, he's a fantastic human, really well-lived, really smart, really intelligent. Lindsay, if you're watching, get in touch!" Lindsay shot to fame when she was cast in the 1998 remake of The Parent Trap and then quickly established herself as a teen favourite in Hollywood with leading roles in Mean Girls, Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen and Herbie: Fully Loaded. ‌ But she had a well-documented struggle with her development in the public eye and during the premiere the night before, Jamie Lee spoke with the programme's cameras about how she wants to protect not only her on-screen daughter, but young ones also up-and-coming through the Hollywood machine. Jamie Lee Curtis said: "It's very important to me if you work with someone who is a teen or a child that you take the responsibility that you're not faking a friendship. Children, actors - it's very transactional. This is very confusing for me and I'm really old and have been doing this since I was a kid. To have that scrutiny and attention is really challenging and I wanna be a safe zone for Lindsay." ‌ Fans of the hit bodyswap comedy movie, which was a remake of the 1978 Disney film starring Jodie Foster and Barbara Harris, have had to wait more than two decades for a sequel. And movie star Jamie, 66, recently explained why that is. During an appearance on The One Show, she explained: "The truth is Lindsay had to be old enough to have a 15-year-old daughter. "People would ask me about the movie over and over again around the world and I would say 'yeah we'd love to do it, we love each other and we'd have a great time, Lindsay has to be old enough to be a teenager or the movie doesn't work'. "And then finally, I think it was in Australia, someone said 'she is' and I was like 'what do you mean?' because I've know her since she was 15. "She's a young girl. now she's a young mommy, she's this young girl. I don't know how old she is but someone told me and I was like 'oh, we can make a movie. Let's go'.
