Halle Bailey Gets Son's Sole Custody Over DDG Abuse Claims — Report
Bailey alleged physical assault, and she shared photographic evidence to back her claims. She also claimed DDG screamed profanities at her in front of their 2-year-old boy. Fearing 'the violence would reoccur,' the actor had then requested sole legal and physical custody of Halo, As of now, the Los Angeles court has temporarily granted Bailey a restraining order and the custody of her son.
Page Six obtained official court documents, revealing that Halle Bailey received her son's sole legal and physical custody after accusing her ex, DDG, of physical abuse. She filed a request with the Los Angeles County Superior Court on Tuesday, seeking protection from the rapper and the custody of 2-year-old Halo. The court granted Bailey temporary sole custody of the boy and a temporary restraining order against the father of her son until a June 4 court hearing.
In her petition, the 'Little Mermaid' actor accused DDG of domestic abuse, claiming it started in January as he visited their son. The alleged assault happened inside his vehicle in front of Halo when she brought up a discussion about a visitation schedule. As per Bailey's filing, which she backed with photo evidence, the musician became visibly upset and attacked her verbally and physically. Other instances included him entering her home without permission and trying to take their son without her consent while the boy was sick.
Besides granting Halle Bailey legal and physical custody of her son, the court ordered her ex, DDG, to maintain a 100-yard distance from them. The temporary restraining order also implies staying away from Bailey's vehicle and Halo's school. The former couple welcomed their son in December 2023 and announced their split on Instagram last October. They had since maintained a co-parenting relationship until the recent revelations.
A court hearing concerning the matter will take place on June 4.

Marvel fans just got their first official look at Tom Holland's new Spider-Man suit for the upcoming movie "Spider-Man: Brand New Day," set to hit theaters on July 31, 2026. In a video released Saturday morning, Holland steps out in a redesigned costume featuring brighter red and blue colors and a larger spider symbol across the chest. The reveal came one day after Holland teased the update on Instagram for National Spider-Man Day with the caption, "Something brand new is coming…" The next morning, the full look dropped with the message, "Are you ready? – 7.31.2026." In addition to Holland's return, Mark Ruffalo will reprise his role as Bruce Banner, also known as the Hulk, The Hollywood Reporter reports. The film marks Ruffalo's first major appearance in a Spider-Man movie and comes 14 years after he joined the Marvel Cinematic Universe in "The Avengers." Plot details for "Brand New Day" are still under wraps, but the title and costume suggest a fresh chapter for Peter Parker in the MCU.

‘Fortnite' Reveals Chapter 6, Season 4 Name, Concept And ‘Halo' Connection
Fortnite has done yet another video game crossover, a move that is hardly news in this day and age, but in this case, it's a bit interesting. The game has announced it's adding Spartans, specifically female Spartans from Halo, five years after adding Master Chief himself to the game back in 2020. I find it at least mildly amusing that to fully get players to understand that these were female Spartans they had to show them off from a…certain angle, which certainly makes that clear. We see two different colors, indicating customization, though I'm not sure if that applies to specific armor pieces as well. There is not a corresponding set of generic male Spartan skins in the game, just Chief. This also came with the name of season 4, "Shock 'N Awesome," and the description: "Investigate the start of the bug invasion, and ready up for the fight against the insect adversaries on August 7!" With these Spartans comings, in terms of properties Microsoft owns that have shown up in Fortnite we have: In another life I would imagine that we might have seen a Joanna Dark skin if that game wasn't just summarily executed recently. We didn't get anything out of Bethesda's big Starfield release, either. FEATURED | Frase ByForbes™ Unscramble The Anagram To Reveal The Phrase Pinpoint By Linkedin Guess The Category Queens By Linkedin Crown Each Region Crossclimb By Linkedin Unlock A Trivia Ladder It remains bizarre that new Halo news these days has to come from Fortnite, and previously any Halo headline was about the very bad live-action TV show. While Halo Infinite multiplayer has dramatically improved in time, it's not exactly top of mind in the PvP space and we have not seen anything at all from Master Chief after the initial Infinite campaign in 2020. Only lately have we started to hear rumblings from Microsoft that they may start talking about the future of Halo soon, but we have updates on quite literally almost all their other big franchises at this point other than what was supposed to be their biggest. But that's not true any longer. Other bits of rumors attached the release of these female Spartan skins are that they will have a red/blue energy sword pickaxe. Halo is a big part of the season 4 battle pass, and will be involved in the upcoming 'invasion' storyline that may involve giant bugs. These female Spartan skins may be rank 1 on the pass. Trump weighs in on American Eagle's Sydney Sweeney ad
President Donald Trump is entering the national debate surrounding American Eagle's Sydney Sweeney ad. In a Newsmax interview Friday, Aug. 1 with host Rob Finnerty, Trump was asked about the "Euphoria" actress starring in the clothing retailer's fall 2025 denim ad campaign that some critics saw as a veiled attempt to endorse eugenics. Eugenics is a highly controversial (and discredited) set of beliefs that the human population can improve or advance itself through selective breeding. "Sydney Sweeney, an actress was in an ad for blue jeans. The ad is doing very well, it's very popular. The jeans have sold out. Does America need to see more ads like that and maybe fewer ads with people like Dylan Mulvaney on the cover?" Finnerty asked, referring to the controversial 2023 Bud Light campaign starring the transgender TikTok star which elicited criticism from certain groups. Trump addresses Diddy pardon decision, but questions remain Trump said that "advertising's a very funny thing," telling Finnerty that "I've done ads where I thought they were lousy, and they turned out to be iconic. And then I've done some that I thought were beauties that were going to be fantastic and they weren't so good, so to each his own." Before addressing his thoughts on advertising, Trump told the conservative cable host earlier in the interview that "I think the Dylan Mulvaney ad was perhaps the most unsuccessful ad in history. It knocked $35 billion off the value of a certain company if you know what I'm talking about." Trump continued: "(The Mulvaney ad) was one of the great disasters of all time. I would say that's probably the most unsuccessful ad, worst ad ever." It is unclear what exact $35 billion valuation the president is talking about, but sales for Bud Light – owned by Anheuser-Busch – tanked after the backlash began. American Eagle breaks silence on Sydney Sweeney jeans ad controversy Why is the 'Sydney Sweeney has great jeans' ad sparking backlash? The Sweeney ad has been the subject of both online praise and anger for over a week. On July 23, the brand launched the new campaign starring Sweeney, which American Eagle originally described as "a return to essential denim dressing," with Sweeney sporting 1970s-style flare jeans paired with a denim jacket. In one of several videos for the campaign, Sweeney, clad in a denim-on-denim fit, dabbles in some word-play, telling cameras: "Genes are passed down from parents to offspring, often determining traits like hair color, personality and even eye color." "My jeans are blue," Sweeney said in the video. Each promotional video ends with the tagline, "Sydney Sweeney has great jeans." The Trump comments aired the same day that American Eagle broke its silence on the backlash and doubled down in an Instagram post following days of discourse about the Sweeney ad blitz. "'Sydney Sweeney Has Great Jeans' is and always was about the jeans. Her jeans. Her story. We'll continue to celebrate how everyone wears their AE jeans with confidence, their way," the statement read. "Great jeans look good on everyone." Contributing: Anna Kaufman, Nicole Fallert
