'I tried Amazon's top-selling Bellissima Styler—I couldn't believe the results'

Daily Mirror15-05-2025
As a natural curly-haired gal, I've never had to master the art of creating curls with heated tools - if I fancied flaunting my curls on any given day, I'd simply let my hair dry naturally.
However, in recent years, I've been exploring the world of hair stylers, and one that's always piqued my interest is the iconic Dyson Air Wrap. But with a typical set retailing for £500, they're not exactly budget-friendly.
Recently, I managed to get my hands on this Air Multi Styler from Bellissima. It's significantly cheaper than the likes of Dyson and so popular that it's almost always sold out on Amazon. The retailer's top-selling air styler is currently available for the reduced price of £159.99, but stock is running incredibly low, so you'll need to be quick to bag one before they're gone again.
If you miss your chance on Amazon or don't mind spending a bit more, you can pick up the same Bellissima Prodigy Air Multi Styler directly from Bellissima (where it's currently discounted to £179.99 down from £249.99) or you can shop at Boots, where the set is available for the same price.
Set to revolutionise your hair routine with effortless and damage-free hairstyles, the Prodigy comes equipped with an impressive six interchangeable heads, offering a wealth of versatility when it comes to choosing your desired look. The set includes a handy beauty bag that's perfect for keeping your kit secure and portable for travel, and the following six styling options: detangle and smooth (flat brush head), extra wavy (round brush), volumise and straighten (oval brush), two coanda prodigy (curling wands), and gentle dry (a hair dryer attachment).
The air styler also provides ample flexibility to cater to your hair and styling needs, featuring three fan speeds, three temperatures and a cold blast, which is recommended for setting your style.
Armed with Hi-Pro Ceramic Technology that promises shiny and glossy hair without causing damage, this styler is powered by a digital motor and digital heat control that delivers five times the pressure of a standard hairdryer, ensuring ultra-fast drying while the tool checks the temperature 50 times per second to prevent heat damage. The device also boasts Ion Care Technology, so you can say goodbye to frizz and flyaways, as it prioritises shinier and smoother locks, reports the Mirror.
Sharing my experience with the styler; as I mentioned before, I'm not exactly a whizz with hairstyling tools, but this gadget was surprisingly straightforward and fuss-free. Yes, it took me a bit of time to find my groove, but once I started using the Coando Curlers, it was a breeze, and I hardly had to lift a finger.
This is all thanks to Bellissima's Coanda Technology, which generates 200 micro-flows of air, allowing your hair to wrap around the cylinders smoothly without the need for you to manually wrap each section or risk singeing your fingers.
I was aiming for defined waves and curls, and I was taken aback by how quickly it achieved this. It's worth noting that the hair styler is quite large, longer than your average straightener or curling wand when the Coanda Prodigy curlers are attached - while I adjusted to this, beginners might need some time to get used to it.
That being said, once I got the hang of how it works (with user-friendly controls that let you effortlessly switch between temperatures and speeds), it took surprisingly little time to achieve the curls I was after.
I should mention that I have relatively short and thin hair, so I reckon styling would take longer for someone with thicker and longer hair, but all in all, it took me about 20 minutes. I did section my hair into three layers to make grabbing sections easier without too much hair getting in the way, but I don't think this would be necessary depending on the style you're aiming for.
If you have more hair than I do, I'd recommend sectioning. The air styler did tend to pick up hair outside of my section if I wasn't careful, so if, like me, you want tighter curls, you'll need to keep an eye out to ensure too much hair isn't wrapping around the curler.
While I did experiment with the other attachments, the Coanda Prodigy curlers have certainly become my favourite for achieving smoother, more defined curls that surpass even my natural hair. Regardless, I was astounded by this set's versatility and its ability to cater to a variety of hair types and styles. It's incredibly easy to use, and a clear set of instructions is also included. This makes it simpler than ever to achieve sought-after styles without the need for experience or proficiency with other hairstyling tools.
As a person with bleached hair, I'm always concerned about excessive heat damaging my hair. However, after using this air styler, my hair didn't feel dry or brittle at all. In fact, my curls felt noticeably smoother, and my hair seemed to have a bit more shine. That said, I did use a heat protector spray, which may have contributed to these results. I used the Colour Wow Dream Coat.
And it's not just me who's smitten with this hair styler. Bellissima shoppers have given this set a near-perfect rating, currently boasting an impressive 4.8 out of 5 stars.
One happy shopper shares: "I bought this last week, and it's AMAZING! It dries my (long and thick) hair within 10 minutes. Especially for this price, it is the best out there! Additionally, this product simply looks beautiful and very aesthetically pleasing."
Another fan of the Prodigy Air Styler gushes: "This air styler is a must have for anyone. I have been amazed by the results, taming my hair to make it smooth and sleek. And very simple styling. I'm amazed how the air style works. The curling tongs are great. It comes in a beautiful bag and has several attachments which are easy to attach and swap."
And a third adds: "Absolutely amazing product! So versatile! Works so effectively for many different hair styles! So durable and very portable for travel! Feels very safe to use no concerns whatsoever!"

Thousands snap up Amazon's 'incredible' £32 earbuds 'better than Apple Airpods'

"These sound incredible... they fit snuggly in the ears and are quite comfortable. The sound is incredible for the price." Many of us enjoy listening to music, podcasts, or audiobooks when on the go. Whether that's going out for a stroll, commuting to the office, or pumping iron at the gym, having good audio is a must. Earbuds have become increasingly popular as they allow you to listen to whatever you want without having to faff about with wires. We've found a highly-rated pair at a significant discount that could transform your listening experience. The EarFun Wireless Earbuds on Amazon are currently enjoying a 36 per cent price slash. Retailing at £49.99, you can now snap up these "incredible" products for just £31.99. Crowned best earbuds at the What Hi-Fi Awards, they have been described as "a great all-rounder". They are waterproof and offer "crystal clear" sound for calls and audio, and users can use the EarFun app to customise their buds. Shoppers say they fit "snugly" in the ear - and they offer four different sizes of silicone tips for extra comfort and passive noise blocking. Users were delighted that they stuck in the ear much better than Apple's AirPods too. The EarFun Wireless Earbuds ' on-the-go controls allow users to adjust volume and answer calls by simply touching the earbuds, and they boast up to 35 hours of playtime thanks to the charging case. A quick 10-minute charge offers two hours of playtime. For those looking elsewhere, Apple's AirPods Pro 2 are currently down £40 to £189 on Argos, where they boast a 4.8-star rating from over 1,400 reviews. Shoppers looking for a more budget-friendly option can get Cillso's Wireless Earbuds in four different colours on Amazon for £19.99, after a whopping £110 price cut. Back to the EarFun Wireless Earbuds, they boast a 4.3 rating on Amazon after almost 5,000 five-star reviews. Their popularity is clear with over 1,000 bought in the last month. One satisfied customer said: "These sound incredible! Had them for a few weeks now and I'm extremely happy with them. "They fit snugly in the ears - and include different size ear plastics for larger or smaller ears - and are quite comfortable. Sometimes I forget they're in my ears! "The sound is incredible for the price. Deep basses and clear sounds. I'm very impressed by these little dudes. Overall, they're better than AirPods! Highly, highly recommend." Another user compared them to the big brand rival, saying: "I was really surprised to get that sound quality for the price. People who use Apple AirPods are wasting their money because the quality is the same. "Fits my ear pretty well, the controls are good, pairing is simple. This is an honest review after many months of everyday use - I haven't received any bonuses for writing that review, so just trust me." And a third customer wrote: "Wow, these are good. Sound and build quality is fantastic, I love these. I've honestly tried my daughter's Apple Airpods - I feel these are comparable, for a fracture of the price." However, not everyone was as enthused. A three-star reviewer said: "These are okay but they've definitely changed/reduced the functionality." A similar review read: "The earplugs work well when first purchased but eventually one of the earbuds stopped charging and then working. Eventually, the other side starts with the same issues and once again the earplugs will fail." But other people were delighted with their purchase. One satisfied customer said: "These are great value. I bought a couple of pairs of these a while ago for my kids as a budget alternative to Apple AirPods. "I borrowed my son's and I was so impressed by the sound quality I bought myself a pair too. They fit my ears far better than AirPods and don't fall out at all - which AirPods seem to do all the time (especially when I'm running) - and because of how well they fit, these block out external sound far better (they're not noise cancelling, but the rubber ear tips do a great job of creating a seal in your ear to block out external sound)." And someone else wrote: " I recently purchased the EAR FUN buds as a gift for my wife, and I must say, they are nothing less than any premium earbuds in terms of sound quality and overall performance. "The audio is crystal clear, with deep bass and balanced tones, making music and calls an absolute fit is perfect—snug yet comfortable, ensuring they stay in place even during movement."

Australia's internet network signs Amazon satellite service

SYDNEY, Aug 5 (Reuters) - The Australian government-owned internet network hired Amazon's (AMZN.O), opens new tab untested startup satellite service to provide connectivity to people who cannot access its terrestrial network rather than Elon Musk's Starlink. From next year, low-Earth orbit satellites owned by Amazon's Project Kuiper will start replacing two Australian government-owned satellites due for decommissioning in 2032, NBN Co and Amazon said in a joint statement on Tuesday. The deal, for which financial terms were not disclosed, is designed to give high-speed internet to some 300,000 homes and businesses that NBN's terrestrial network does not reach. The thousands of low-Earth orbit satellites are connected to each other through optical links and communicate with antennas and other connection points on the ground. The deal represents a missed opportunity for Starlink, by far the world's biggest provider of such network services and which already has more than 250,000 customers in Australia, according to industry data. Australia's two biggest telecoms providers sell Starlink residential connection dishes and some government entities, including the Australian Electoral Commission, also have contracts with the company. Starlink, a unit of Musk's SpaceX rocket company, now has 8,000 fast-orbiting satellites since it began launching them in 2019, while Amazon's service has just 78 since its first launch in April. NBN and Amazon said Project Kuiper would ultimately have more than 3,200. NBN said the decision followed a rigorous procurement process, but did not say why it had chosen the Amazon service. Starlink was not immediately available for comment. "It is true that Amazon Kuiper has not launched services yet in Australia or globally, but they are reportedly pumping in about $15 billion into that programme," said Gavin Williams, chief development officer for regional and remote services at NBN. "We have every confidence that we've got a partner in Kuiper that will do what they say they're going to do," he added in an interview. Asked if Musk's ownership of Starlink played a part in the decision, Williams said only that NBN supplied critical infrastructure with regulatory and legal obligations and "technical, operational, and commercial imperatives that fall into that consideration were contemplated and ventilated through the procurement process."
