Summer may not feel like summer without spending a warm evening enjoying live music in Bucks County.
Generally, the music is mid- to late-20th century pop and rock, with a lot of tribute bands. All are great venues, each with food and drink, plus family-friendly show times and admission prices, some free. What's not to love about a weeknight out enjoying great music?
We've compiled a list of the most enduring concert series in Bucks County. Also, two annual big Bucks County concerts return: the Riverside Symphonia's annual 'Concert Under the Stars' on Saturday June 28 in Tinicum Park, and Bristol's end-of-summer doo wop/oldies bash at the Mill Street river front parking lot. Bensalem
What: The Penn Community Bank Amphitheater summer concert series has 13 shows this season, stretching from May to October. There are lots of tribute bands covering acts such as Michael Jackson, Bon Jovi and Journey, plus 1980s pop hits (performed by New York's greatest tribute band, The Ronald Reagans).
When: Wednesdays at 7 p.m. from May 28 to Oct. 4. (The Oct. 4 show is a Saturday.)
Where: Penn Community Bank Amphitheater, Central Park, 2400 Byberry Road.
Admission: $5 for Bensalem residents, $10 for non-residents. Children younger than 12 may enter for free. You can purchase an individual season pass, which is $40 for residents and $60 for non-residents.

Bristol
What: Bristol Lions Summer Concerts are (usually) a Sunday evening tradition on the riverfront in Lions Park. The series has not been unveiled yet, but we plan to publish the acts as soon as they are posted by the Lions and borough officials.
When: Typically each Sunday at 6 p.m., June through August.
Where: Mill Street parking lot, Radcliffe and Mill streets, Bristol.
Admission: Free.
Pro tip: Bring folding chairs.

Bristol Township
What: The township's four-year-old amphitheater on the grounds of an old farmette at the municipal complex has become a summer favorite, not only for residents, but for the acts performing on warm summer nights, since the stage has unseen stage floor cooling fans. This year the three shows are on weeknights.
When: Thursday, June 19 — Shot of Southern; Tuesday, July 8 — The Se7en Band; Thursday, July 24 — Fish Out of Water. The shows are from 7-9:30 p.m.
Where: Bristol Township Amphitheater, at the municipal complex, 2501 Bath Road.
Admission: Last year the fee was $10 for township residents, $20 for non-residents. But you may call Brian Morris, the municipal parks and rec director, to find out for sure about this season's lineup at 267-812-2933.

Langhorne
What: Summer concerts every other Wednesday are brought to you by members of the Langhorne Borough Business Association.
When: The concert season begins Wednesday, May 28. Shows are 7-9 p.m. Rain date is typically the following Wednesday.
Where: Concerts are in Langhorne Community Park at the corner of Maple and Bellevue avenues.
Admission: Free.

Doylestown
What: Doylestown's Thompson Performing Arts Series hits its 30th year in 2025. The lineup has range, from the Bucks County Orchestra with patriotic and popular American classics, to the Soul Cruisers, with old school R&B and Motown, and everything in between (except rap or hip hop). It's a top-notch baby boom summer soundtrack, and also for anyone who loves mid- to late-20th century Brit and American rock and pop.
When: Wednesdays at 7 p.m. from June 4 to Aug. 27.
Where: Doylestown Central Park, 425 Wells Road.
Admission: Free.

Concert Under the Stars, a salute to America from Tinicum Park
What: Put this one on your Bucks County bucket list. The Riverside Symphonia's annual concert, with a full orchestra, is set to play to thousands in Tinicum Park in Upper Bucks County. The playlist covers old American favorites, sometimes a little Frank Sinatra, and classics from beloved films and Broadway shows. The concert ends with its traditional "big finish" — fireworks bursting all around while the orchestra plays 'The 1812 Overture' followed by 'Stars and Stripes Forever.' Worth the nearly hour-long drive from Lower Bucks County.
When: June 28. And, for your reference, it's really an Independence Day concert, but it isn't called that because it's always on the Saturday before July 4.
Where: Tinicum Park, 963 River Road, Erwinna.
Pro tip: From Lower Bucks County, take New Jersey Route 29 up and back. It's quicker than River Road. If you use the free parking, tether a mylar balloon to you car so you can easily find it after the show in the darkened fields. You'll thank us, especially if you can't remember where you parked.
Admission: $25 per person at the gate, $20 per if you order tickets online. There's also premium parking closer to the band shell, but it ain't cheap — $65 a car last year. Otherwise, parking is free, but you'll hoof it.

Oldies on the River in Bristol Borough
What: A few years ago, after rejuvenating Mill Street with hip eateries and chic shops, Bristol officials decided to throw an end-of-summer party, and everyone's invited. It began as the Doo Wop Concert, but it's now Oldies on the River. It's a couple of hours of R&B, soul and Motown acts from the 1950s, 1960s — some with one or two original/longtime members. Plenty of food vendors, but the longest line is always the Mister Softee truck.
When: 5-9 p.m., usually the third Saturday in September. The date and lineup are to be officially announced in mid-May, borough officials said.
Where: Mill Street parking lot, Mill and Radcliffe streets.
Pro tip: Arrive early, say 4 p.m., for a better view of the stage. Bring dancing shoes since, if you're of a certain age, you will want to join others in front of the stage when that hit you remember from your high school dances is performed.
Admission: Free.
