‘Memory alive': Late star's mum speaks out following Adam Sandler's touching tribute in Happy Gilmore 2
Happy Gilmore 2 has fans in tears — and not just from laughter.
Viewers noticed that Adam Sandler subtly paid tribute to the late Cameron Boyce, a moment that hit home for many fans.
Boyce, best known for his work on Disney's comedy series Jessie and the Descendants franchise, died in 2019 at just 20 years old after suffering a seizure.
Early in the film, shortly after Sandler's character approaches a golf check-in booth, the scene cuts to two individuals seated behind the counter, watching a show on a small television.

That's when viewers catch a glimpse of Boyce on the screen, in an episode of Jessie, where he portrayed Luke Ross from 2011 to 2015.
Eagle-eyed Jessie fans were quick to spot the tribute, and it's clear it hit a chord with many.

The late star's mother has now taken to social media to express gratitude for the moment.
'Thank you @adamsandler for honouring Cam's legacy in Happy Gilmore 2,' Libby Boyce wrote alongside a gold emoji, an angel wing emoji, and a purple heart emoji in an Instagram post.

Libby also shared an article about the tribute on Instagram and added more about the bond her son shared with the Billy Madison comedian.
'Adam and Cameron talked quite a bit in the days leading up to his death,' Libby began.
'Cameron was supposed to be in Hubie Halloween and they were strategising.'

'Adam always finds a way to keep Cam's memory alive which warms our heart.'
Years before his passing, Boyce and Sandler starred together as father and son — Lenny and Keithie Feder — in Sandler's 2010 comedy Grown Ups, and again in its 2013 sequel.
Though Boyce wasn't able to appear in Hubie Halloween, Sandler honoured him with a tribute midway through the film's credits. The screen featured a photo of Boyce and the message:
'In loving memory of CAMERON BOYCE. Gone way too soon and one of the kindest, coolest, funniest, and most talented kids we knew. You live on forever in our hearts and are truly missed every day.'

Sandler was also among the first to publicly mourn Boyce after his death in 2019.
'Too young. Too sweet. Too funny,' he wrote on social media at the time.
'Just the nicest, most talented, and most decent kid around. Loved that kid. Cared so much about his family. Cared so much about the world.'
'Thank you, Cameron, for all you gave to us. So much more was on the way. All our hearts are broken,' Sandler continued.
'Thinking of your amazing family and sending our deepest condolences.'
On what would have been Cameron's 21st birthday in May 2020, the Uncut Gems star posted again in remembrance:
'Happy birthday to Cameron. Would have been 21 years old. Such a great kid. We all miss him a lot. Especially his incredible family,' he wrote on Instagram.

Netflix's Yosemite series Untamed is really at home in Canada
You don't have to go to America to see the sights of Yosemite National Park — and you don't have to take my word for it. The current Netflix hit series Untamed, starring Eric Bana and Sam Neill, makes much of telling its story in Yosemite. The key piece of action, around which the whole series hinges, takes place on the distinctive El Capitan granite mountain face. But it doesn't. Untamed was filmed in Canada, and the El Capitan in the series is actually Mount Seymour, in Mount Seymour Provincial Park in North Vancouver, British Columbia. Part of the North Shore Mountains, it rises to 1449m above the Indian River. Canada is a complete alternative for those considering touring the national parks of the US. THE STORY Untamed, a six-episode series, was released on July 17 and quickly racked up almost 25 million views, rising to No.1 on the Netflix TV charts for English-language shows. Co-written by Mark L Smith and Elle Smith, it's a mystery-thriller following Kyle Turner (played by Eric Bana), who is a special agent for the National Parks Service, based in Yosemite National Park. He sets out to investigate the death of a young woman who falls from El Capitan, getting caught in the ropes of two young climbers on the granite face. His investigation starts to reveal the dark secrets of the national the park, and in his own past. THE LOCATIONS It has been revealed that the log cabin in which special agent Kyle Turner lives isn't in Yosemite, but in Murdo Frazer Park, again, in North Vancouver Canada. Many of the snow scenes were filmed in Whistler Olympic Park. In the series, some of the action is set at 'Grouse Lake in Yosemite National Park', but this is Grace Lake, in British Columbia. It is close to Vancouver — just take Highway 7 to Harrison Mills, turn left into Morris Valley Road and drive 11km and turn into Sts/Ailes Forest Service Road and you'll find Grace Lake Recreation Site, where camping is CAD $25 ($28). The forested trails of North Vancouver's Greenwood Park provide good locations for the series. Greenwood Park and Kealy Woods Park are in the upper Grand Boulevard neighbourhood of Vancouver, with dramatic bluffs, bedrock outcrops. There's a network of trails through both parks, making them very popular. The Green Necklace greenway (a 7.5km scenic loop), extends north into Greenwood Park and also attracts visitors to the area. There's a quarry in Greenwood Park that is popular with locals for bouldering. Kyle Turner's investigation, with forest ranger Naya Vasquez (Lily Santiago) alongside, leads to a squatter camp, which was filmed in Deroche. It is an 'unincorporated community' of growers at the foot of Nicomen Mountain in Fraser Valley, southwestern British Columbia. There are a number of river gorge hiking scenes in Untamed, and some of these were filmed on Cheakamus River, with rapids and big fir and cedar trees. The river is a tributary of the Squamish River, and scenes were also shot at the Balls To The Wall waterfall, which is famous with whitewater kayakers. Hulk Hogan didn't meet his grandchildren prior to his death
Hulk Hogan never met his grandchildren before his death. The wrestling legend passed away aged 71 last month after suffering a heart attack at his home in Florida and his son-in-law Steven Oleksy has revealed that Hulk showed "no interest" in meeting his estranged daughter Brooke's twins Oliver Andrew and Molly Gene when approached following their births in January. Former NHL player Oleksy told People: "I sent text messages once again to kind of gauge where he was at, but there was no interest." Oleksy explained how he and Brooke moved from Michigan to Florida to be closer to Hulk - whose real name was Terry Bollea - as he "was getting older" and suffering with his health. He said: "She was there for every surgery leading up to the last two years. She would fly down on her own dime, take care of her dad, and it just made a lot of sense. "No one understood his body, procedures, medications and everything else more than my wife." Oleksy explained that the family will remain in Florida following the WWE icon's passing as the state has grown to feel like "home" for them. The ex-ice hockey star said: "We've built a beautiful life here together." Sarah Jessica Parker has penned an emotional goodbye to Carrie Bradshaw after it was revealed that And Just Like That... is coming to an end. The 60-year-old actress posted a clip montage of her character's best moments on Instagram after it was confirmed on Friday (01.08.25) that the Sex and the City sequel series will conclude later this month after three seasons. "I know others have loved her just as I have. Been frustrated, condemned and rooted for her. The symphony of all those emotions has been the greatest soundtrack and most consequential companion. Sarah's co-star Kristin Davis, who plays Charlotte York Goldenblatt in the show, stated that she is "profoundly sad" that the HBO Max series is ending. While I was writing the last episode of And Just Like That... season three, it became clear to me that this might be a wonderful place to stop. "Along with Sarah Jessica Parker, Casey Bloys and Sarah Aubrey, we decided to end the popular series this year with a two-part finale and extended the original series order from 10 episodes to 12. "SJP and I held off announcing the news until now because we didn't want the word 'final' to overshadow the fun of watching the season. It's with great gratitude we thank all the viewers who have let these characters into their homes and their hearts over these many years."
