Ravichandra AJ's Janani Pictures to distribute Mansore's Doora Theera Yaana
As both a producer and distributor, Ravichandra has backed notable titles like Behind the Scenes, Anamadheya Ashoka Kumar, Nodidavaru Yenantare, Bhava Theera Yaana, Edagaiye Apaghatakke Karana, and several more set for release this year. He also serves as executive producer for Theertha Roopa Tandeyavarige, directed by Ramenahalli Jagannath.
Ravichandra now brings Doora Theera Yaana to audiences, distributing the reflective travel drama under the Janani Pictures banner. The film, directed by Mansore, is scheduled for release on July 11.

Mysuru: The city, hailed as the Cultural Capital of the state, is grappling with a unique challenge as artists and organisers witness a sharp decline in audiences for cultural events, including theatre performances, music concerts, and literary gatherings. This dwindling attendance at performances has sparked concerns about the future of cultural activities in the city. Artists and organisers note that the younger generation has largely distanced itself from cultural spaces and activities. Organisers report that literary events and cultural programmes lacking prominent names struggle to draw public interest, often resulting in performances before empty seats. Consequently, many organisers are shifting their focus to educational institutions, where students form a captive audience. Stakeholders attribute this trend to various factors. Indian classical music promoter Himamshu CR, involved in several music events and organisations, confirmed this trend, stating that today's audiences prefer concerts featuring well-known artists. Dasara offers opportunity to build interest: Music promoter He further noted that the Dasara festival in Mysuru offers an excellent opportunity to foster public interest in music and draw crowds to such events. "Unfortunately, poor planning by authorities has squandered this platform. There is an urgent need to cultivate interest in music among the public," he emphasised. Kannada actor Santhosh Balaraj passes away at 34
Bengaluru (Karnataka) [India], August 5 (ANI): Santhosh Balaraj, who was known for his works in Kannada films, passed away on Tuesday at the age of 34 in Bengaluru. He breathed his last at Sagar Apollo Hospital in Kumaraswamy Layout, Bengaluru. He was admitted to the hospital last month due to Jaundice and was recovering after undergoing treatment. Santhosh was admitted to the hospital again after falling ill and was in the intensive care unit. The actor who was undergoing treatment died today at the hospital. His last rites were performed on Tuesday evening in son of producer Anekal Balaraj, Santhosh began his career with 'Kempa'.In 2009, he played the lead role in his debut movie 'Kempa', produced by his father, Anekal Balaraj.'Kempa', the action drama film, was directed by debutante Jagadish and starred late actor Santhosh and Thanushika. He was also known for his roles in movies like 'Kariya 2' and 'Ganapa'. In 'Ganapa', he played an innocent man forced into lawlessness. 'Ganapa', which was released in 2015, was written and directed by Prabhu Srinivas. It also starred Priyanka Thimmesh. His last film, 'Kariya 2', is a gangster film directed by Prabhu Srinivas starring Santhosh Balaraj in the title role and Mayuri Kyatari in the opposite lead role. It is an unrelated sequel to the 2003 blockbuster Kariya. The movie was released in 2017. (ANI)
