Wrexham two points ahead of Wycombe with two games left
The Reds are now two points ahead of the third placed Chairboys with two games remaining in the quest for an historic third promotion in a row.
Charlton, who visit The Racecourse on Saturday, are four points adrift of Wrexham in fourth with Stockport County, who sit fifth, a further point adrift of the Reds.
It is advantage Wrexham once again with the Reds in the driving seat for a top-two finish, although there is still work to be done in the bid to go straight up to the Championship with title winners Birmingham City.
Parkinson made three changes from the side that started Friday's 1-1 draw against Bristol Rovers.
Eoghan O'Connell, who went off injured in the stalemate, underwent a fitness test ahead of kick-off and was named on the substitutes bench, with Dan Scarr coming into the team.
Wing-back James McClean returned in place of Ryan Barnett while George Dobson was preferred to Elliot Lee in midfield.
Wrexham made a bright start and were on the front foot with Ryan Longman and Ollie Rathbone having shots blocked.
Another Rathbone effort was gathered at the second attempt by goalkeeper Harry Tyrer while the Reds came close to breaking the deadlock midway through the first half.
James McClean raced into the area after taking Sam Smith's neat flick but the wing-back was denied by a brilliant save from Tyrer.
The Blackpool keeper was again called into action to thwart Jay Rodriguez after being set-up by Dobson who then brought another save out of Tyrer.
Arthur Okonkwo did well to tip Rob Apter's fierce drive over the bar at the other end and it remained goalless at the break.
Wrexham went straight on the attack at the start of the second half and McClean headed over from Longman's cross.
However, the Reds went 1-0 up in the 61st minute.
Dobson picked out McClean with a brilliant cross-field pass and the Reds' captain's low drive went through a crowd of players and found the bottom corner.
It got even better for Wrexham who doubled their lead three minutes later.
Rodriguez laid off to Rathbone who fired home from inside the area.
Wrexham continued to press and Matty James was denied by Tyrer while Rathbone fired over the bar.
Apter scored in the fifth minute of injury time to pull a goal back for Blackpool but Wrexham weren't to be denied a huge win.

Sheffield Wednesday players refuse to play friendly as wages are late again
Sheffield Wednesday 's players have refused to feature in a friendly this weekend after the club failed to pay their wages on time for the fourth time in five months. The Championship club were due to face Premier League side Burnley in a behind-closed-doors game but it is understood the Wednesday players are refusing to play. The Owls appointed Henrik Pedersen as their new head coach on Thursday following the departure of Danny Rohl and, just hours later, Saturday's friendly was cancelled as players and coaching staff decided to boycott the match after not receiving July's monthly salary on time. Rohl left Hillsborough on Tuesday during a chaotic summer which has seen Wednesday placed under a number of embargoes because of financial issues. Players were paid late in May and June, while this is the fourth time in the last five months that salaries have been delayed. The club are currently under an English Football League embargo for unpaid transfer fees and owner Dejphon Chansiri is trying to sell the cash-strapped Sky Bet Championship club. It is understood there is increasing concern within the EFL over the growing crisis at the club and that extends to whether Wednesday will be able to fulfil their opening Sky Bet Championship fixture at Leicester on August 10. Thai businessman Chansiri completed his takeover from previous owner Milan Mandaric January 2015 for a reported £30million and the club twice went close to promotion to the Premier League when losing out in the 2016 and 2017 play-offs. Since then Wednesday have lurched from one financial crisis to another. They were first placed under an EFL embargo in 2017 over profitability and sustainability rules and were docked 12 points – reduced to six on appeal – at the start of the 2020-21 season for further financial breaches. The Owls were placed under embargo for late salary payments to players and staff in 2024, while a player registration embargo is also in place for unpaid transfer fees. New boss Pedersen admitted the club were in 'rough waters' following his appointment, with registration restrictions and the departure of several key players leaving him with a threadbare squad. Djeidi Gassama and Anthony Musaba have been sold this summer to Rangers and Samsunspor respectively, while Josh Windass and Michael Smith had their contracts terminated by mutual consent to allow them to join Wrexham and Preston. The latest missed payments to players and staff heaps further pressure on Chansiri, who insists he is willing to sell the club for the right price. He recently revealed he had rejected one consortium's £40million bid, while talks with various other interested parties have stalled.

Conor Coady to Rangers transfer delay cleared up as preferred destination revealed amid Wrexham interest
Russell Martin wants the experienced defender as part of his major overhaul as he continues his new era rebuild at Ibrox Rangers are still in the driving seat to land Conor Coady - if they press ahead with the transfer. Gers have been locked in talks with Leicester City over a move for the former England international. But Record Sport understands Foxes boss Marti Cifuentes has been refusing to sanction an exit for the 32-year-old. Coady, 32, is understood to be keen on a switch to Ibrox after being identified by Russell Martin and sporting director Kevin Thelwell as a possible marquee signing. Ambitious Wrexham - owned by actors Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney - have now joined the race as they target Premier League promotion. However, speaking on Hotline Live, our man Keith Jackson revealed that Govan remains Coady's preferred destination if a deal can be agreed. Jackson said: "The information I have received this afternoon has been interesting on this one. "I felt the whole thing felt it was cooling down, but apparently not. "Conor Coady's camp are still really hopeful that this one will get across the line. "Apparently the reason for the delay - and I did say that it felt Leicester pressed pause on it - what I am hearing is that the new manager Marti Cifuentes is the guy who put a personal block on it. "He was only appointed and unveiled 24 hours or less before Leicester went away to their Austrian summer HQ for pre-season camp and I believe Cifuentes was the guy who said 'nothing gets done until I get away and assess my squad and speak to some of the individuals involved'. "I think that is why everything kind of just stopped for a while with the potential Conor Coady to Rangers deal. "What I am hearing now is Cifuentes is more amenable to it. I think there is a realisation that it suits all parties and particularly Conor Coady. "However, there is an extra spanner in the works there as over that period Wrexham have made a bit of a push and I think they think they are at the table as well. "The information I am getting still suggests Rangers would be in the box seat if they want to press ahead with the sort of deal that was being discussed with Conor Coady a few weeks ago. "I think that is still the one Conor Coady wants. It remains to be seen if it is still the deal Rangers want. I would be very surprised if it is not."
