Bin Habtoor, al-Rahawi address anti-drug seminar in Sana'a
Sana'a - Saba: Member of the Supreme Political Council Dr. Abdulaziz Saleh bin Habtoor and Prime Minister Ahmed Ghaleb al-Rahawi on Saturday participated in a seminar organized by the Ministry of Interior on the occasion of World Anti-Drug Day. The seminar, titled "Drugs are enemies' means of destroying the individual and society," highlighted the grave threat drugs pose to Yemeni society. Dr. Bin Habtoor commended the Ministry of Interior's efforts in combating drugs, describing them as a "scourge that threatens societies" and a tool used by enemies to destabilize nations from within. SPC member bin Habtoor asserted that despite a decade of aggression and blockade, the Yemeni people's steadfastness remains unbroken, noting that drugs are another weapon in the enemy's arsenal. He also extended congratulations to Iran for its "victory over the Zionist enemy," stating that "all the free people of the nation and the world should celebrate this victory." He concluded by criticizing "moderates" and "meager groups" who abandon their responsibilities. Prime Minister al-Rahawi praised the Ministry of Interior's anti-drug sector, emphasizing that "enemies deliberately used drugs in their targeted war for more than ten years in order to destroy the Yemeni people." He specifically cited information confirming that "the Saudi occupier, the Emirati, introduced large quantities of drugs to the occupied provinces and areas, including 'shabu' to corrupt young people." Al-Rahawi expressed hope that the seminar's recommendations would enhance anti-drug efforts, including necessary legal amendments, and stressed that combating drugs is a collective responsibility, urging the community to report suspicious activities. Major General Abdulmajid al-Murtada, Deputy Minister of Interior, reiterated that drugs are a serious problem targeting youth and an enemy tool for societal dismantling, calling for unified awareness efforts. Dr. Ali Abbas, Chairman of the Supreme Commission for Medicines and Medical Supplies, outlined the commission's regulatory efforts to control medicines and substances used in narcotics manufacturing, stressing coordination among authorities. Dr. Mounir al-Jubi, Professor of Criminal Law at the Police Academy, presented a paper on the religious, ethical, social, economic, and legal aspects of drug crime, advocating for updating the anti-drug law and continuous rehabilitation of security personnel. Maduro tells world Jews: Stop mad war led by Netanyahu
Caracas - Saba: Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro called on world Jewry to take decisive action to stop the "war madness" being waged by the Israeli entity, led by Benjamin Netanyahu, holding the occupation leaders responsible for the massacres committed. In his speech from Miraflores Palace in Caracas during the 2025 Simón Bolívar National Journalism Prize award ceremony, Maduro made a direct appeal to Jews in Israel, the United States, and around the world, urging them to stand against Netanyahu's policies that threaten to ignite a "devastating world war". He added that the shooting of the Palestinian people has not stopped, with 100 people being killed every day, most of them children, women, and the elderly, while the West continues to watch and complicity, as it once did with Hitler. Maduro emphasized the need to achieve justice and punish Israeli officials who committed massacres against civilians in Iran and continued to exterminate innocents in the Palestinian territories. The Venezuelan president likened the head of the Israeli occupation government to Hitler, saying, "The West pushed Hitler against the Soviet Union, just as they are pushing the Hitler of the 21st century (Netanyahu) against the Arab and Islamic peoples and against the Islamic Republic of Iran." He explained that his country seeks to "open the doors to the world in order to liberate it from a military war," stressing that he had sent clear messages in this regard to the presidents of China, Russia, and the United States, along with dozens of other heads of state and kings. Maduro concluded by calling on the international community to shoulder its responsibility, saying: "Assume the responsibility of saving humanity from a major nuclear war. We ask God to save us from that war." Whatsapp Telegram Email Print more of (International)
