Tyler Dibling: Everton table improved bid for Southampton winger
Southampton are yet to respond to the offer, which is worth in the region of £40million including add-ons, but they are seeking a higher fee for the teenager, and it is expected to be rebuffed.
Everton have already seen an opening offer for Dibling turned down this summer. He is keen to return to the Premier League, having never played in the Championship, following Southampton's relegation last season.
The 19-year-old's contract at St. Mary's runs until 2027 and he has also attracted interest from Aston Villa and Newcastle United.
Dibling was a regular for Southampton last term, making 38 appearances in all competitions, scoring four goals and three assists, though he could not help save the club from returning straight to the Championship as they finished bottom of the top flight table.
After spending eight years in Southampton's academy, Dibling joined Chelsea's youth setup in 2022. However, he only featured twice for the west London side and rejoined Southampton later that year.

Dibling signed his first professional contract in 2023 and made his senior debut in August of that year in a 3-1 defeat against Gillingham in the Carabao Cup. He primarily featured for the club's under-21 side in the 2023-24 season before establishing himself as a first team regular in the subsequent campaign following Southampton's promotion to the Premier League.
The winger has made 43 appearances for the club in total.
The Athletic reported on Monday that Everton are also in talks over a permanent deal for Chelsea's Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall.
Everton have been active in the transfer market this summer, securing the arrivals of Adam Aznou, Thierno Barry and Mark Travers this summer, and also signed Carlos Alcaraz permanently following his loan spell at Goodison Park last season. The Athletic also reported on July 26 that the club were in talks with Lyon over a potential deal for winger Malick Fofana.

Newcastle send another bid to RB Leipzig for Benjamin Sesko
Newcastle United are desperate to get a striker's deal done before the window ends as their current No.9 Alexander Isak is looking for other options. By Ravi Kumar Jha Published on August 5, 2025, 08:22 IST Newcastle United are desperate to get a striker's deal done before the window ends as their current No.9 Alexander Isak is looking for other options. Isak who has already made up his mind of leaving is interested in joining Liverpool and also the club trying hard to get the deal done. However, Newcastle can only give green light when they get a new striker and they are fully focused on Benjamin Sesko. They are rivaling Manchester United for the striker. Despite sending the second bid of €90 million (package), they are not confident that the player will choose them. Man United hasn't send a bid yet as they are waiting for the player's approval first. Newcastle United are scrambling to finalise a striker signing before the summer transfer window closes, as their current No.9 Alexander Isak looks increasingly likely to leave the club. The Swedish forward has reportedly made up his mind about moving on, with Liverpool emerging as his preferred destination. Liverpool are pushing hard to get a deal over the line for Isak, who is seen as a long-term addition to their attacking options. However, Newcastle are unwilling to greenlight the transfer unless they secure a suitable replacement — and their top target is RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko. The Magpies are facing stiff competition from Manchester United for the Slovenian talent. Newcastle have already submitted a second bid worth €90 million (including add-ons), but there is uncertainty within the club about Šeško's willingness to join them. 'It Stings' - Charley Hull's Message Goes Viral After Heartbreaking Loss
'It Stings' - Charley Hull's Message Goes Viral After Heartbreaking Loss originally appeared on The Spun. Charley Hull has come so close to winning a major championship a few times in her career, but no result was as devastating as Sunday's loss at the AIG Women's Open. Hull came into the final round of the AIG Women's Open with nothing to lose. After shooting a 6-under 66 on Saturday, she found herself just three shots behind Miyu Yamashita. All the positive momentum that she built in the third round carried over to the front nine on Sunday. She was bogey-free through the first nine holes and picked up three birdies. Unfortunately for Hull, back-to-back bogeys on holes 16 and 17 pretty much knocked her out of contention. "Towards the end, I didn't even hit a bad shot on 16," Hull said, via "I hit a perfect tee shot, and just the wind was howling off the left and didn't even move it like an inch, like I hit it so pure. It was a bit unfortunate. Then on 17, missing that putt. I hit a good putt right on the line. And then shame about 18 because I had a pretty hard chip over the bunker, and I'd done pretty well just to get it there. Yeah, it was a bit unfortunate, but I felt like I was very much in control of my game today. I don't feel like I mishit any shots out there. I hit it pretty pure all day." When the dust settled, it was Yamashita who lifted the trophy at Royal Porthcawl. Roughly 24 hours after suffering this heartbreaking defeat, Hull posted a message on Instagram for her fans. Hull was proud of her resilient effort at the AIG Women's Open, albeit her performance on the back nine could haunt her for the next few days. "There's nothing like the adrenaline of being in the mix on a Sunday. It's why I love this game. Felt so in control out there. Hit it pure and gave it everything," Hull wrote. "It stings to come up short, but after day one I'm proud of myself for climbing the leaderboard like I did and being the bridesmaid again. Thank you @royal_porthcawl, you were such a tough test but what an awesome course. @aigwomensopen and @therandagolf, you continue to deliver this world class event and elevate our game. We wouldn't be doing what we do without your vision. "To the fans, you were unbelievable. I had goosebumps out there yesterday with the cheers. I'm grateful for this journey and everyone who is part of it. We move on." Next up for Hull is the 2025 PIF London Championship. There'll be plenty of fans in her corner during this event from Aug. 8-10.'It Stings' - Charley Hull's Message Goes Viral After Heartbreaking Loss first appeared on The Spun on Aug 4, 2025 This story was originally reported by The Spun on Aug 4, 2025, where it first appeared.
