Nimrat Kaur swears by this summer skincare remedy: ‘Kesariya mera, hack hai piyaaa'

Indian Express21-04-2025

Sky Force actor Nimrat Kaur seems to be a fan of home remedies. She recently introduced us to an effective skincare hack, which she swears by to beat the summer sun and tan.
'So, one of my favourite summer hacks for skin is milk and saffron. I was travelling in Kashmir, and I bought saffron there. They told me that this can be put in biryani, and you can put this in sweet dishes. But there is another wonderful use of this. In summer, you can put this in raw milk and apply it to your skin. There is nothing better than this to get rid of the tan and the damage from the sun,' Kaur said in an Instagram video, which she captioned: ' Kesariya mera, hack hai piyaaa…' (referring to the Kesariya song from Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor-starrer Brahmāstra: Part One – Shiva).
She even demonstrated the hack for her fans and followers.
Ingredients
Chilled milk
Saffron strands
Method
*In a small bowl, add chilled milk and put 4-5 saffron strands. Let it sit. Put a face mask inside to soak up the liquid.
*Apply the mask to your face. Sit with it for a while.
After removing the mask, she said, 'Smells like kheer. Nice and moist. So nice and fresh. I feel like kheer.'
But is it an effective hack?
Ayush Aggarwal, founder of Rasayanam, called the combination 'nature's glow duo. 'Saffron (Kesar) has been treasured for centuries in Ayurveda and traditional skincare rituals. When combined with milk, this golden spice becomes a powerful elixir for glowing, healthy skin,' said Aggarwal.

Adding that saffron and milk offer a natural, gentle way to revive tired, dull skin, he said: 'With regular use and the right application, this age-old beauty remedy can truly help you glow from within.'

Benefits
Brightens skin tone
Saffron helps reduce dullness and pigmentation, while milk contains lactic acid, which gently exfoliates dead skin cells, revealing a brighter complexion.
Fades dark spots and acne marks
Regular use can help reduce blemishes and even out skin tone.
Hydrates and softens
Milk nourishes and hydrates dry skin, while saffron soothes and adds a radiant sheen.
Fights the early signs of ageing
Saffron is rich in antioxidants, which help fight fine lines and improve skin elasticity.
Soothes inflamed or sensitive skin
Its anti-inflammatory properties make it ideal for calming redness or irritation.
What to note?
*Always do a patch test before first use, especially if you have sensitive skin.
*Use pure saffron — not the synthetic coloured kind.
*Avoid leaving it on overnight unless mixed into a proper night cream formulation.
*Store saffron in a cool, dry place to maintain potency,.
Does it work for everyone?
While saffron and milk suit most skin types, results may vary:
*Dry to normal skin types may benefit the most due to the intense hydration and glow it offers.
*Oily or acne-prone skin should proceed cautiously, as raw milk can sometimes clog pores.
*For sensitive skin, dilute the mix a little more, or best would be to consult a dermatologist before regular use.

View this post on Instagram A post shared by Everybody Loves Raymond 360 (@everybodylovesraymond360) Betts, who began his journey in the world of acting after being inspired by Laurence Olivier's Wuthering Heights performance in 1939, had a career that spanned stage, film, and television. He was just 10 when his family relocated from New Jersey to Miami, where his love for theatre took root. He later pursued acting at the University of Miami before making his Broadway debut in Richard III. The 1960s saw Betts transition into international fame, particularly in Italy, where he featured in several spaghetti Westerns. Among them was Sugar Coat (1966), directed by Franco Giraldi. His theatre streak continued with a memorable three-year stint as the lead in Broadway's Dracula from 1977 onward. While many remember him from television hits like Frasier, Friends, Seinfeld, and Everybody Loves Raymond, Betts gained a new generation of fans through his brief but notable appearance alongside Willem Dafoe in Sam Raimi's Spider-Man, where he played Henry Balkan, a board member of Oscorp. Later in his career, Betts appeared in shows like My Name Is Earl, Recovery Road, and Good Trouble in 2019. But off-screen, his friendships were just as memorable — especially with Everybody Loves Raymond star Doris Roberts. The two shared a home until Roberts' passing in 2016. She also directed Screen Test: Take One, a play written by Betts that was inspired by the world of soap operas. Betts is survived by his sister Joan, who is set to celebrate her 100th birthday in November, as well as his nephew Dean and nieces Lynee and Gail. First Published:

Shefali Jariwala's Death: Did Paras Chhabra Predict Her Demise? Old Video Goes Viral

Last Updated: After Shefali Jariwala's tragic death, an old clip of Paras Chhabra predicting her 'sudden demise' via kundali has shocked fans. As the entertainment industry continues to mourn the untimely demise of actress and Bigg Boss 13 contestant Shefali Jariwala, an old video clip featuring her co-contestant Paras Chhabra has resurfaced online, sending fans into a state of disbelief and shock. In the clip, Paras can be seen conducting a kundali (birth chart) reading for Shefali inside the Bigg Boss house — and what was once a casual astrological interaction has now taken on an eerie, spine-chilling tone in the wake of Shefali's passing. In the video, Paras reads Shefali's astrological chart and points to a particularly ominous planetary alignment. 'Aapke 8th house mein chandra, buddh aur ketu baithe huye hain. Chandra and Ketu ka combination sabse bura hota hai. The 8th house also indicates loss, sudden death, fame, hidden mysteries, and tantric-related things, too. Aapke liye chandra aur ketu ka bura toh hai hi aur sath mein baith gaya hai buddh. This indicates anxiety and neurological problems," Paras says. His words — once perhaps brushed off as part of a quirky housemate interaction — have taken on a chilling resonance in light of recent events. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Film Window (@ What makes this clip even more unsettling is how Paras's astrological prediction eerily aligns with what Shefali herself had once shared about her health. In an interview, Shefali had openly spoken about her past struggle with epilepsy and how she overcame it. 'My first seizure I got was when I was 15 in the tenth grade. There are medications that treat this neurological disorder. You have to make certain lifestyle changes. Meditation and yoga help. You have to learn how to calm yourself," she said, speaking candidly about her journey. She added, 'Today, I'm 20 years epilepsy free, and I spread a lot of awareness about it. You need medical treatment, and it can be cured." In that same conversation, Shefali had proudly explained how she took control of her health with treatment and lifestyle changes, noting the importance of meditation and awareness. She had become a vocal advocate for epilepsy awareness, drawing from her own personal story as an example of resilience and recovery. The resurfacing of both the kundali reading and Shefali's interview has left fans reflecting on the mysterious ways in which life unfolds. Many are calling it a tragic coincidence, while others are grappling with the uncomfortable questions such synchronicities raise. Regardless, Shefali Jariwala's honesty about her struggles and strength in overcoming them remain etched in the hearts of her admirers. As fans revisit her words and that old clip, the collective feeling is one of deep respect, sorrow, and a haunting sense of fate. First Published:

Naga Chaitanya Reveals His Sacred Weekend Ritual With Wife Sobhita Dhulipala

Last Updated: On Sunday, the couple either watch a film, take a stroll, or order their favourite food. Telugu star Naga Chaitanya recently shared insights into his married life with actress Sobhita Dhulipala. The actor shared that when they are both in Hyderabad, they make it a point to have breakfast and dinner together. On Sundays, the couple spends some quality time while watching a film, taking a stroll, or ordering their favourite food. In an interview with Man's World, Naga Chaitanya shared that they take turns planning vacations. 'She's into reading, I'm into racing. But we're both creative people. We take turns planning holidays. One time it's her lead, the next time it's mine," the actor said. Naga Chaitanya recalled the time when he taught Sobhita how to drive on a racetrack. He shared that 'once she started driving, she didn't want to stop". When asked which person he admires the most, the actor said, 'My dad and my mom and I put my wife as number three". Naga Chaitanya is the son of Telugu star Nagarjuna and Lakshmi Daggubati. Last month, rumours about Sobhita Dhulipala's pregnancy started circulating online. The buzz began after the actress attended the WAVES 2025 event in Mumbai, draped in a saree that many speculated was strategically styled to hide a baby bump. A family insider soon put the rumours to rest. In a quote to ETimes, the source said, 'She wore anti-fit, not maternity. It's amazing how a change in silhouette can birth a whole new storyline." Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita Dhulipala's love story began with a fan question during one of Sobhita's Instagram AMAs. The actress realised Naga Chaitanya was following her and returned the favour. That moment led to DMs, frequent conversations and eventually, love. 'There was no mic drop. It just happened very organically," Sobhita shared with Vogue. After two years of romance, the couple got engaged in Hyderabad on August 8, 2024. They tied the knot on December 4 at Annapurna Studios in the presence of their close friends and family. Their union came three years after Naga Chaitanya's split from Samantha Ruth Prabhu. First Published:
