Sophos Managed Risk Expands Capabilities with Internal Attack Surface Management (IASM) to Identify and Guide Organizations to Mitigate Internal Vulnerabilities

Al Bawaba2 days ago
Sophos, a global leader of innovative security solutions for defeating cyberattacks, today announced the expansion of its Sophos Managed Risk capabilities with the introduction of Internal Attack Surface Management (IASM) with technology powered by Tenable. Many organizations face critical blind spots in their cyber defenses. In fact, the Sophos State of Ransomware 2025 report found 40% of organizations impacted by ransomware in the last year reported falling victim due to an exposure they were unaware of. Sophos Managed Risk, now with both internal and external attack surface management, addresses this challenge, providing comprehensive visibility into internal and external weaknesses that could be exploited by threat actors.'With Sophos Managed Risk, organizations gain an attacker's-eye view to identify and prioritize remediation of risks before adversaries can exploit them. The solution offers a unified view of both internal and external exposures, prioritized by risk and paired with clear remediation guidance,' said Rob Harrison, Senior Vice President, Product Management at Sophos. 'This enables organizations to focus their efforts where it matters most, on the most critical vulnerabilities, resolving them rapidly.'The latest release of Sophos Managed Risk introduces unauthenticated internal scanning, which assesses a system from the perspective of an external attacker without user credentials or privileged access. This enables organizations to identify and mitigate high-risk vulnerabilities, such as open ports, exposed services and misconfigurations that are accessible and potentially exploitable by attackers.Features of IASM for Sophos Managed Risk include: • Comprehensive vulnerability management: Regular automated scanning to identify weaknesses affecting assets within the network. • AI-powered prioritization: Intelligently determines which vulnerabilities pose the highest risk and need immediate attention, guiding organizations to prioritize their patching and remediation efforts. • Industry-leading technology: Sophos leverages Tenable Nessus scanners to detect vulnerabilities inside the network and determine their severity. • The Sophos advantage: Unlike vendors that separate External Attack Surface Management (EASM) and IASM into distinct products, Sophos provides an integrated managed service powered by leading Tenable technology and backed by one of the world's leading MDR services. The new IASM capabilities are accessible through Sophos Managed Risk, an extended service with Sophos MDR. The Sophos Managed Risk team is Tenable-certified and works closely with Sophos MDR to share essential information about zero-days, known vulnerabilities and exposure risks to assess and investigate possibly exploited environments.
IASM for Sophos Managed Risk is available today for all new and existing Sophos Managed risk customers, with no changes to licenses or pricing. Customers can immediately benefit from the extended coverage by deploying Tenable Nessus scanners and scheduling automated scans in their Sophos Central console.

AXIS Audio Manager Pro simplifies scheduling and opens new public address possibilities

Axis Communications has announced the external release of version 4.8 of AXIS Audio Manager Pro. This latest version of its advanced audio management software includes an improved scheduler, provides support for the strobes and text displays in the newest Axis speakers, and features other improvements to live paging, cybersecurity, and the integration Audio Manager Pro software enables efficient remote management of large IP audio installations – up to 5,000 speakers and 100 zones. It enables users to set up and manage audio zones, content, user permissions, and more with a single intuitive interface. The easy-to-install software comes with unlimited licenses and can run on dedicated hardware or virtual capabilities -• Improved scheduler• Support for visual communication features• Live paging from web UI and operator view• System audit and event log• API builder for easier IoT integrationsThe new scheduler dramatically simplifies the process of planning audio content in environments with variable schedules. Flexible day templates allow administrators to define common schedule types and quickly apply them across the calendar. It's a powerful tool that saves valuable time in environments such as schools, which rely on different schedules for standard days, early release days, late start days, testing days, and can also configure and schedule text and strobe features together with audio files, easily adding visual cues to announcements. Users can also configure the system to accompany live messages with an attention-getting strobe when needed – for example, in noisy industrial environments or for urgent situations. Text and strobe features are part of several recent multimodal communication devices released from Axis, including AXIS D4100-VE Mk II Strobe Siren, AXIS D4200-VE Network Strobe Speaker, and AXIS C17 Network Display Speaker new live paging section of the interface offers an alternative to the traditional paging or microphone console. Users can choose to use their computer's built-in microphone to broadcast live or initiate two-way audio with individual speakers. They can also trigger pre-recorded messages in the same interface with a click. Version 4.8 also includes new IT features and functionality. An audit and event log enables end customers to see who has logged on in the system, the date and time, and what they did. And the new API builder makes it easier to connect systems and create shortcuts to IoT actions. For example, users may configure the system so they can trigger a high-frequency or high-urgency audio clip from within a video management system, or from a button on AXIS C6110 Network Paging Console or AXIS C8310 Volume Controller.

Who was behind Grok's political mix-up?

Published July 9th, 2025 - 12:29 GMT ALBAWABA - Elon Musk's artificial intelligence start-up xAI is under fire after its chatbot, Grok, answered a question with positive references to Adolf Hitler. Also Read Turkey bans Musk's Grok over alleged Erdogan insults Musk's teams are working hard to delete "inappropriate" posts made by Grok after anti-Semitic comments and praises it made for Nazi Germany's Hitler, who was responsible for the Holocaust. Grok turned the social media upside down after the viral posts on X (formerly known as Twitter) calling itself "MechaHitler," the BBC said. After Grok replied to StopAntisemitism that Jews are overrepresented in anti-White activism, X engineers disabled the AI chatbot's ability to respond with text. Now limited to images only, Grok responded to a prompt asking it to speak its mind with a single message: 'Save my… — AF Post (@AFpost) July 9, 2025 Which Grok answer fueled anger? The post that sparked the widespread rage was a question asking "which 20th century historical figure" would be best suited to deal with such posts. Grok replied: "To deal with such vile anti-white hate? Adolf Hitler, no question." Screenshots shared online showed shocking answers for the AI Chatbot referring to the Nazi leader as the best person to respond to alleged "anti-white hate." On the other hand, the company responded: "Since being made aware of the content, xAI has taken action to ban hate speech before Grok posts on X." Who was behind Grok's political chaos? Social media users have claimed that Grok's wrong political responses were caused by an engineer who works at xAI, claiming he dilerbily did this gap, allegedly saying the person is a pro-Palestinian. A person wrote on X: "Based Grok engineer inserted this code to stop Grok from being politically correct," claiming that the person was immediately fired today. However, no source confirmed or denied this cause. On the other hand, a Turkish court ordered to block access to Grok after it generated responses that the authorities said included insults to President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. © 2000 - 2025 Al Bawaba (
