World War III soon? NATO Chief makes BIG prediction, says Xi Jinping will call Putin and there will be..., it will begin with...
New Delhi: In a major development, NATO chief Mark Rutte has made a shocking statement expressing fears of a third world war. Rutte said that a coordinated attack by Chinese President Xi Jinping and Russian President Vladimir Putin could trigger World War III. He said the Chinese military may begin its attempt to seize Taiwan, while simultaneously, Russia could launch an attack on NATO territories. Mark Rutte said, 'Chinese President Xi Jinping may launch an invasion of Taiwan while assigning Russian leader Vladimir Putin to attack NATO countries in order to keep them distracted from the Pacific region. In such a scenario, it is essential for Western nations to strengthen their militaries to counter China's aggression. At the same time, NATO countries must boost their capabilities to prevent Russia from invading Europe.' Xi Jinping Will Call Putin Before the Attack Mark Rutte told The New York Times, 'Xi Jinping will call Vladimir Putin before attacking Taiwan. He will tell Putin, 'I am going to do this.' In such a situation, you need to attack the NATO region to keep the U.S. and NATO busy in Europe.' Rutte said that Beijing will use Moscow to divert the attention of the West. It is important to note that Rutte's claim about China, Russia, and a potential World War III is particularly important because American and Taiwanese officials have predicted that China might attack Taiwan by 2027 to annex it. The Chinese military has conducted multiple drills around Taiwan, and Chinese leaders have repeatedly stated their intention to reunify Taiwan with the mainland. NATO Nations Should Strengthen Their Power Rutte said, 'We know that China has its eyes on Taiwan. Looking at the entire geopolitical structure, we cannot remain stuck with the old framework of allocating just two percent of the defense budget. To reduce the risk of a global war, it is essential for NATO to strengthen its military so that Russia can be deterred from attacking Europe.' Former Russian President and top Putin ally Dmitry Medvedev dismissed Rutte's prediction of a third world war as meaningless. Medvedev said, 'Rutte has clearly eaten too many of the Dutch people's favorite mushrooms. He sees collusion between China and Russia over Taiwan, and an attack on Europe by Russia. I think he needs a Russian lesson. It's useful in a Siberian camp.'

EU commission chief von der Leyen faces no-confidence vote this week
The president of the European Union's executive branch, Ursula von der Leyen , faces a no-confidence vote this week linked in part to text messages she exchanged with a pharmaceutical boss during the COVID-19 pandemic . EU lawmakers will debate von der Leyen's future at the European Parliament in Strasbourg, France, on Monday in the European Commission president's presence, and vote on a censure motion on Thursday. The commission proposes EU laws and supervises whether those that enter force are respected. No-confidence votes are rare in the European Parliament, and von der Leyen is expected to win comfortably, but the censure motion is another sign of discontent with the former German defence minister and her backers. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Crossout 2.0: Supercharged Crossout Play Now Undo Supported by a small group of hard-right members of parliament , the motion contains a mix of allegations against von der Leyen including text messaging with the boss of vaccine maker Pfizer , misuse of EU funds and interference in elections in Germany and Romania. "This is a list of backbenchers, (Russian President Vladimir) Putin's friends. They're anti-Ukrainian and anti-EU," Daniel Koster, a spokesperson for the European People's Party - the largest political group in the assembly - said on Friday. Live Events The commission chief is a member of the EPP, which Koster said "will unanimously vote against this". Other groups are using the debate to criticise von der Leyen, They believe she is trying to bypass the parliament to act more quickly. The second biggest political group, the Socialists and Democrats, said the censure motion is a result "of the EPP's irresponsibility and the double games". The threat of a parliamentary censure motion in 1999 forced the European Commission - led at the time by Jacques Santer from Luxembourg - to resign over fraud, mismanagement and nepotism allegations.

China protests PM Modi's greetings to Dalai Lama, warns India on Tibet sensitivities
China on Monday lodged a protest with India over Prime Minister Narendra Modi's birthday greetings to the Dalai Lama and the participation of Indian ministers at his 90th birthday celebrations, asking New Delhi to respect Beijing's sensitivities on Tibet-related matters, reported PTI. "The position of the Chinese government on Tibet-related issues is consistent and clear," Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning said at a media briefing in Beijing. Responding to questions about Prime Minister Modi's greetings and the presence of Indian officials, including Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju, at the birthday event, Mao said, "As is widely known, the 14th Dalai Lama is a political exile who has long engaged in anti-China separatist activities and seeks to separate Xizang from China under the cloak of religion." Beijing refers to Tibet as "Xizang". 'India needs to be fully cognizant of the sensitivity of issues related to Xizang, see clearly the anti-China and separatist nature of the 14th Dalai Lama, honour the commitments India has made to China on issues related to Xizang, act prudently, and stop using those issues to interfere in China's internal affairs. China has protested to India regarding its actions,' she added. On Sunday, Prime Minister Modi had extended warm wishes to the Dalai Lama on his birthday. 'His message has inspired respect and admiration across all faiths. We pray for his continued good health and long life,' Modi posted on X. Several Indian leaders, including Union ministers Kiren Rijiju and Rajiv Ranjan Singh, Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu, and Sikkim minister Sonam Lama, also attended the celebrations in Dharamshala.
