Tom Sandoval's ‘AGT' Audition: Simon Cowell Notes 'Vocals Weren't Great' & Mel B Says, 'I Don't Give A F*** About A Scandal'

With the Bravo reality series completely rebooting with a new cast, Sandoval has turned to music and appeared on America's Got Talent Season 20 with his band to audition for the NBC talent show.

'A couple of years ago, I made some really bad choices and was involved in a very bad cheating scandal and I let down a lot of people,' Sandoval said on AGT. 'It pretty much destroyed my life. It was absurd how much coverage and how big it became. Ever since then, everything I do is completely criticized.'
Sandoval noted that he felt a lot of pressure and hoped the judges could see him as a musician and not just someone on a reality show.
When Sandoval got on stage, Simon Cowell reminded him that he worked with his friend Lisa Vanderpump, owner of SUR and executive producer of Vanderpump Rules.
'With being on a reality TV show, it's very much about your personal life,' Sandoval said of moving on to music. 'A couple of years ago, I was involved in a scandal and I was labeled as, 'The most hated man in America,' by the New York Times. It was really rough and I was in a very dark place. I felt as though I had nothing in my life and this band was the only thing that kept me going.'
Sandoval added that he wants to tour the world and become the ultimate cover band. The former Bravo star was accompanied by his co-star Tom Schwartz and his girlfriend, who were cheering him on in the audience.
As Sandoval got ready to perform, Sofía Vergara asked fellow judge Howie Mandel what was the scandal he was involved in, to which he said, 'He slept with his girlfriend's best friend.'
'No wonder nobody likes him then,' Mel B chimed in.
Cowell then added, 'Do you know how not interested I am in any of that stuff?'
Tom Sandoval and the Most Extras performed 'Take On Me' by A-ha and wowed the judges, receiving a standing ovation from all four of them.
'You made me smile,' Mel B said after Cowell noted that she got on her feet following Sandoval's performance. 'You gave me happy vibes, and apart from that song being one of my favorite songs, you all looked like you were fully enjoying yourselves, and you're not embarrassed to say that you are a cover band.'
Mel B noted that she may need a cover band for her upcoming wedding with Sandoval saying he was down to perform there.
'I love cover bands. I love the band. I love the energy,' Vergara said. 'Tom, you look amazing up there. I think you guys brought us joy tonight.'
Mandel, who interviewed Sandoval on his podcast in the aftermath of the Vanderpump Rules scandal, said, 'Tom is a showman. He really takes this seriously. For me, it was great.'
Cowell got honest with Sandoval and said, 'The vocals weren't great, Tom.'
The crowd booed Cowell, who then added, 'Not everyone comes on this show to get a record deal. Sometimes it's about being true to who you are.'
All the judges said yes, pushing Sandoval into the next round.
'That's real life. That's what happens to some people. That's why I'm like, 'I don't give a f*** about a scandal.' Who cares?' Mel B added after Sandoval left the stage. 'I liked it because I'm cheesy.'

Jana Kramer faces 'a lot of pressure' to provide for her family
Jana Kramer has accepted jobs that challenge her "moral compass". The 41-year-old star has to pay child support cheques to ex-husband Mike Caussin, and Jana admits that financial pressures have influenced some of her career decisions. Jana - who has Jolie, nine, and Jace, six, with Mike, as well as Roman, 19 months, with current husband Allan Russell - told Fox News Digital: "There's definitely some things, some ads that I'm like, 'Oh, I wish I could have gone back and maybe not done that ad,' but you know, you learn and you go back and you go, 'All right, I'm not gonna do that one again,' you know? "So sometimes when you gotta pay that child support cheque, it's just like, 'Well, this is a good cheque money. I'm gonna take this.'" Asked if she was referring to a commercial in which she promoted a sex toy, Jana replied: "It's OK, honestly it is what it is. "I'm not gonna do it again, like you know what I mean? Like I'm like, OK, I'm good now, like, you know? Like we're good, we're levelling up to a different [place], you know?" Jana has occasionally comprised her values because she needs to provide for her family. She said: "I am a sole provider, where I have a lot of pressure on my shoulders to provide for my kids. And so I think that piece of it sometimes outweighs my moral compass." Jana is best known for playing Alex Dupre on One Tree Hill. And the actress - who starred on the TV show between 2009 and 2012 - previously revealed that she's eager to star in a reboot. She told TooFab in 2024: "I definitely talked to Sophia [Bush, her former co-star] about it and it's one of those things where she's kind of getting a temperature check on who would come back." Jana is a fan of reboots and she's keen to see what the show's characters are up to now. She shared: "I love when shows get rebooted and they bring back old characters because I like to see what they're up to. "I understand if they don't. I understand why some actors don't want to come back to a show that's been done, and they have closed that chapter. But for the viewers and the fans, I want to know what they're up to, what they're doing."

Yankees' George Costanza desk nap bobblehead pre-selling for five times more than tickets to game
This week the New York Yankees announced that the bobblehead giveaway for its Seinfeld Night promotion on Aug. 21 for its game against the Boston Red Sox will be one of George Costanza sleeping under his desk. The unique giveaway, which Seinfeld fans will surely agree is perhaps the greatest bobblehead ever created, is a reference to an episode from season eight of the show titled 'The Nap.' In the episode, George, then working for the Yankees as assistant to the traveling secretary, commissioned a carpenter working for Jerry to build a custom sleep nook under his desk at Yankee Stadium. He was then caught under there by then Yankees owner George Steinbrenner's grandson. The bobblehead will only be given to the first 18,000 fans who enter the stadium that night, but pre-sales of the item have already been purchased on eBay for up to $250 while tickets to the game are still available for as little as $53. 'I love a good nap. Sometimes it's the only thing getting me out of bed in the morning.' – George Costanza Join us at @yankeestadium on Thursday, August 21 for Seinfeld Night! 1st 18,000 guests will receive a George Costanza Bobblehead 🎟️👉 — New York Yankees (@Yankees) June 26, 2025 For last season's Seinfeld Night, the Yankees gave away a bobblehead of George in a batting pose from an episode where he taught real-life Yankees Bernie Williams and Derek Jeter how to hit. While this is only the second year the Yankees will hold a Seinfeld Night, the New York Mets and its minor league affiliates have had several bobblehead giveaways tied to the show. The Brooklyn Cyclones, a High-A affiliate of the Mets, have done bobbleheads of George in his Gore-Tex coat, and pulling a golf ball out of a whale's blowhole while pretending to be a marine biologist. The Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp, a Triple-A affiliate of the Miami Marlins, also gave away one of George eating so many shrimp that it prompted a call from the ocean. The character has proven popular in trading card form, too. 2021 Panini National Treasures cards featuring pieces of a Yankees jersey worn by actor Jason Alexander have sold for $1,000 or more on at least five occasions and numerous unofficial Costanza cards have been produced.
