Fans of the popular OTT show '
Criminal Justice
: A Family Matter' cannot get enough of the new season. With the finale set to drop on July 3, fans have been sharing speculations about the show and how it will end after the events of the last episode.
The plot of the web series follows the main character, lawyer
Madhav Mishra
, as he defends the suspect
Raj Nagpal
, who has been accused of murder after he was found holding the body of the late nurse
Roshni Saluja
. Ever since the release of the first episode, fans have been in anticipation of the killer's identity.
There have been major pieces of evidence that have been revealed throughout the show. Things like missing CCTV footage, a lactose-free milk bottle, and now, in the latest turn of events, a mysterious and still unexplained medicine bottle.
Ever since the 7th episode of the season was released online, fans have been buzzing with theories and speculations, with many turning into detectives to solve the crime before Mishra. Fans of the show took to social media platforms and discussion forums to share their thoughts on the matter.

The most popular theory behind the murder
Many fans of the show have been pointing out that the answer could be someone extremely obvious that most would brush aside as being a simple side character. One of the most popular theories suggested by fans is that it wasn't Raj, butt a fellow physician who was not involved in the murder. Some even suspected that Roshni could have been involved in poisoning Nagpal's daughter, Ira, and to protect his family, this physician decided to end the nurse's life.
More theories about less obvious characters: Is the killer a woman?
After a scalpel was found as one of the major pieces of evidence in the murder case, fans did a roundabout, and theories about how the killer might be a female came to light. Many fans of the show started sharing clips of the season 4 trailer that showed a slitting scene with a woman's hand involved in it. Using the clip to support their argument, fans of the show claim that one of the characters named Kamala might be behind the murder rather than Raj.
Gripping finale
Fans of the show have shared divided reactions. While some have labelled the show's one episode per week format as lazy and slow, many others have shared that it adds a level of suspense to the drama. Other than that, some fans also pointed out that Roshni's ex-boyfriend could be the answer, no matter how obvious it seems.
As the final episode of the show is set to be released tomorrow, all that is left for the fans to do is wait and watch and put their theory to the test.

CCTV shows police assaulting auto driver at Theni station; probe ordered

Theni: Just days after the Sivaganga custodial death case sparked public outrage, CCTV footage has emerged showing uniformed police personnel assaulting an auto driver inside the Devadanapatti police station in Theni district. The incident took place on Jan 14, but came to light only on Wednesday, prompting Theni SP R Shiva Prasad to order an enquiry by the ADSP. Five policemen, including the station inspector, have been moved to the AR pending investigation. The man seen being slapped, kicked, and pushed by the policemen has been identified as C Ramesh, a resident of Devadanapatti. According to police, on the day of the Pongal festival, Ramesh allegedly created a public nuisance in an inebriated state near the Arisikadai bus stop. Police took him into custody after being alerted by locals and brought him to the station. Officials claimed that Ramesh continued to behave aggressively and quarrelled with police personnel inside the station. A case was registered against him under Section 296(b) of the IPC, and he was released later on station bail. The video, which surfaced on Wednesday, contradicts the official account, showing at least five policemen assaulting Ramesh while he offered no visible resistance. SP Shiva Prasad said that "minimal force" was used to control the situation and maintained that an internal enquiry was underway. "The ADSP has been asked to conduct a detailed investigation and submit a report," he said. MSID:: 122210613 413 |

Ju Haknyeon cleared of misconduct allegations: Police dismiss case due to lack of evidence

Former 'THE BOYZ' member Ju Haknyeon has been officially cleared of misconduct allegations involving former Japanese adult film actress Asuka Kirara. On July 2, the Seoul Gangnam Police Station confirmed that the complaint filed against him in June has been dismissed due to insufficient evidence. The allegations and fallout The controversy began in May 2025, when online rumours alleged that Ju Haknyeon had met with Asuka Kirara at a private lounge in Tokyo. Though no formal charges were filed, the speculation escalated rapidly. His agency, 'One Hundred,' responded by terminating his exclusive contract and announcing his departure from 'THE BOYZ.' Ju Haknyeon's response In the weeks following the reports by Pinkvilla, Ju Haknyeon broke his silence, saying, 'There was no illegal activity during my time in Japan.' He also expressed disagreement with the agency's decision by uttering, 'I had not agreed to leave THE BOYZ.' He further stated his intent to take legal action with 'I will pursue legal action against those who spread unverified and defamatory information.' Police statement: no grounds for investigation A formal complaint was submitted on June 19, requesting an official investigation. However, the police concluded that the complaint was 'largely based on an online article.' They emphasised that it 'lacked the concrete details or corroborating evidence necessary to justify an investigation.' Further, the authorities clarified that 'simply referencing media coverage does not meet the criteria required for a criminal investigation. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Преносим лазерен заваръчен пистолет, 50% отстъпка днес HL Купете сега Undo ' Accuser's reaction The individual who filed the complaint expressed disappointment in the outcome, saying, 'I would like to make it clear that since the authorities have not determined that the accusation is false, it does not meet the legal requirements for a false accusation.' They also argued that 'other high-profile cases in the past had moved forward based on media reports. This case should have been handled with the same level of seriousness. '

Transport minister Pratap Sarnaik books bike taxi ride from outside Mantralaya, exposes illegal operations in Mumbai

Mumbai: After a recent police case against bike taxis illegally operating in the city, state transport minister Pratap Sarnaik, while waiting outside Mantralaya on Wednesday, asked a senior official of the department if bike taxis were completely off roads. He was informed that there were no bike taxis operating in Mumbai. But when the minister personally booked a bike on the Rapido Bike Taxi app under an alias, within 10 minutes, the bike arrived at Shaheed Babu Genu Chowk near Mantralaya. "I caught the rider red handed and proved that he was operating illegally," Sarnaik said. He later issued a statement to the media saying: "This bike was taking bookings for rides despite state govt not having granted official permission to any bike taxi app." He further said: "I offered the rider Rs 500 as fare. I told him that filing a case against someone like you, who is poor, won't achieve anything for us. However, those responsible must be brought to justice."
