Anish Kapoor asks $17.75M for his NYC home
You may have never seen the striking sculptural works of Anish Kapoor with your own eyes — but you've certainly seen them on Instagram. Kapoor is known for Chicago's 'Cloud Gate' bean sculpture — a shiny sight for any tourist visiting the Windy City, which often makes its way online — as well as New York's own version, which is at the base of the 57-story 56 Leonard St. Now the Mumbai-born British artist is re-listing his home at that very Tribeca tower — featuring abundant light flooding in from its floor-to-ceiling windows on the 47th floor. 6 Anish Kapoor. Rich Caplan 6 Beyond Kapoor's sculpture right outside, the amenities inside are also fantastic, such as this lap pool. Rich Caplan The 3,576-square-foot apartment is now on the market for $17.75 million, down slightly from its $17.99 million ask last year with a different brokerage. It has four bedrooms and 4.5 baths. Kapoor bought his unit directly from the sponsor for roughly $14 million in 2016. The elegant home opens from a private elevator landing, and features high ceilings, stunning views and three private outdoor spaces. And it's all in a building designed by world-renowned architects Herzog & de Meuron. Other perks include a great room with 12-foot ceilings, a fireplace and an open chef's kitchen. The main bedroom corner suite opens to a terrace, and comes with an oversized walk-in closet, and a spa-like bath in travertine and marble with radiant-heated floors. Building amenities, along with the Kapoor sculpture at the building's base, include an indoor lap pool with a sundeck, a gym, a screening room, a residents' lounge, a private dining room and a children's playroom. The listing brokers are Krista Nickols and Martin Garcia, of Serhant.

Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. A brief but heartfelt moment between two miniature dachshunds has warmed the hearts of viewers on TikTok, after one pet owner shared footage of her dog sprinting to greet her canine friend at a train station—reminding viewers that dogs, too, can form genuine friendships. The now-viral video, posted on July 13 under @darcie_theminidaschund, shows the female dachshund named Darcie eagerly rushing toward a ticket barrier to reunite with another dachshund arriving on a lead with her own owner. The moment has sparked widespread affection on the platform, drawing more than 445,000 likes and over 2.1 million views to date. Darcie and her owner are based in Staffordshire, in the north of England. @darcie_theminidaschund She has friends that she gets excited to see too🥹 ♬ lovers' carvings - Bibio Dachshunds are known for forming particularly strong bonds with members of their own breed. Often drawn to each other by shared body language, energy levels, and temperament, they tend to become fast companions with fellow dachshunds. Shot from behind, the short clip captures Darcie straining at her leash as she recognizes her canine friend approaching. Her energy builds as the two dogs lock eyes, pulling toward each other across the barrier until they finally meet nose-to-nose, tails wagging. The video's caption—"she has friends that she gets excited to see too"—paired with an overlaid text reading, "I'm crying that dogs have friends too," resonated with viewers who flooded the comments to share their emotional reactions and stories of their own pets' bonds. "She's so excited," one viewer commented, while another added: "I love how she runs." "I love when they sniff each other's noses so cute," a third viewer said. "My dog has a girlfriend and it's the cutest thing ever," another added. "My dog has like three girlfriends," another said in agreement. "This is how my dog gets with my neighbor dog," a different viewer shared. "The fact that neither of them peed is astonishing," another said. "That is the cutest thing I have ever seen," another said. "My dog loves our neighbors and childhood friends' dog, we used to say they're boyfriend and girlfriend," another added. "Little besties," another said. "Girlhood in all forms," another viewer summed up. Newsweek reached out to @darcie_theminidaschund for more information via email. Dog Owner Gets Puppy, Pet Cam Captures Older Siblings' Shocking Behavior
Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. Bringing a new puppy into a household can sometimes upset the delicate balance of an established pet dynamic. One dog owner learned this the hard way when her previously well-behaved canines, left unsupervised with the new puppy, unleashed chaos on her couch. A viral TikTok video showed the extent of the damage, prompting a flood of relatable stories from other pet parents and highlighting the surprising ways dogs react to new siblings. Since the video was posted, it has received over 866,000 views. Stock image: A dog lies on a chair it chewed up, looking guilty. Stock image: A dog lies on a chair it chewed up, looking guilty. smrm1977/Getty Images "Throw back from when my dogs decided to [tear] up my couches," the owner wrote in the caption. "They [have] always been out the crate and never have they done anything like this until I got a new puppy. No, they did not swallow or eat anything, just tore it up—[I guess] they had to prove a point!" The video immediately resonated with other dog owners who have experienced similar "acts of protest" from their pets. Many shared their own tales of unexpected destruction after introducing a new animal or changing routines. "My Dane tore up the couch too, and he's never done that before," one person posted. "Then my little mutt (I've had for nine years mind you) who never does anything literally dug a hole in BOTH couches in the camper. I cried, especially after looking at the prices of new ones." Another shared a similar experience: "[My] parents' first dog did something like this when they got a new puppy," they wrote. "He peed in the basement, tore up blankets (as usual), shoes and remotes. He was jealous that there was something new and he wasn't getting attention." "My oldest dog did this once when we got a new puppy," a third commenter said. "He has never been crated except to teach the new dogs … but this recent pup, he wasn't a fan! Still doesn't go in a crate either." The incident ultimately sparked a discussion about dog training and caging. While many immediately suggested crating to the dog owner, others noted the context of the older canines being uncrated for years without issue. A commenter offered a nuanced perspective on the owner's "judgment call": "[I know] people are telling you to kennel them, but honestly, it was a judgment call," they wrote. "Your dog probably wouldn't have done anything if it wasn't for the puppy. Sometimes puppies learn from the older dogs—but sometimes it's the opposite."
