ALBAWABA - Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu recently took to X (formerly known as Twitter) and shared a video denying the starvation in Gaza, despite the reports and videos circulating the internet stating otherwise.
Netanyahu wrote in the video's caption, "There is no starvation in Gaza, no policy of starvation in Gaza, and I assure you that we have a commitment to achieve our war goals."
He added, "We will continue to fight till we achieve the release of our hostages and the destruction of Hamas' military and governing capabilities. They shall be there no more." Netanyahu: There is no starvation in Gaza

The video in question was met with outrage from human rights activists who accused the prime minister of spreading propaganda and continuing the aggression on Gaza, despite rising famine.
A social media user wrote on X under the video, "Our eyes tell us the opposite."
Another Israeli social media user added, showcasing discontent with the current government, "You are a war criminal. STOP the war. Bring back all the hostages. Resign."
The ongoing Israeli aggression on the Strip has resulted in the killing of at least 59,000 Palestinians and the injuring of more than 144,000. Additionally, the starvation in Gaza has left 147 people dead, of whom 88 are children.

Bennett breaks ranks Israeli starvation tactics in Gaza turning US against Tel Aviv

Published August 5th, 2025 - 11:14 GMT "Among many Americans, Israel is increasingly perceived as a burden to the United States," Bennett stated, criticizing the Israeli government's failure to grasp the scale of the public relations disaster. The total death toll from Israeli military actions since October 2023 now stands at 61,020, with more than 150,671 injured. ALBAWABA- In a striking admission, former Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett has warned that Israel's global reputation, particularly in the United States, is rapidly deteriorating. Speaking out amid mounting criticism of Israel's war in Gaza, Bennett said the country's standing in the U.S. is 'collapsing,' and that Israel is increasingly viewed as a 'pariah state.' Bennett pointed out that Israel has effectively lost the support of the Democratic Party and is beginning to lose the once-reliable backing of the Republican Party. He added that Israel's starvation policy in Gaza has taken on 'enormous proportions' and is now seen by much of the American public and key influencers as a grim and undeniable reality. — Naftali Bennett נפתלי בנט (@naftalibennett) August 5, 2025 "Among many Americans, Israel is increasingly perceived as a burden to the United States," Bennett stated, criticizing the Israeli government's failure to grasp the scale of the public relations disaster. 'We don't have a proper media strategy, and there are no clear answers for the growing number of questions being asked. The careless gossip of some of Netanyahu's ministers is deeply damaging and will haunt our soldiers as they travel the world.' These comments come as the humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza deepens. According to the Gaza Health Ministry, eight more Palestinians, including a child, have died from starvation and malnutrition in the past 24 hours. The total number of deaths attributed to starvation since October 7, 2023, has now reached 188, including 94 children. In the same period, Israeli military assaults have killed 52 Palestinians and injured 352 others. The total death toll from Israeli military actions since October 2023 now stands at 61,020, with more than 150,671 injured. Since the resumption of Israeli hostilities in March 2025 alone, 9,519 Palestinians have been killed and 38,630 wounded. International criticism continues to mount. The British Consulate in Jerusalem expressed sorrow over the killing of Palestinian human rights activist Odeh al-Hadalin by settlers in the West Bank, calling for the immediate return of his body for a proper burial. 'Settler violence in the West Bank cannot go unchecked. Impunity must end,' the consulate said in a statement. Meanwhile, the European Commission has described the situation in Gaza as 'intolerable,' reiterating its demand that Israel allow urgent humanitarian aid into the besieged territory. © 2000 - 2025 Al Bawaba (

Trump reportedly gives Netanyahu green light for full Gaza invasion

'Israeli' newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth reported that US President Donald Trump has given 'Israeli' Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu the 'green light' to carry out a large-scale military operation against Hamas in the Gaza Strip. According to sources cited by the 'Israeli' newspaper, a strategic decision has been made by the 'Israeli' leadership to move forward with a complete military takeover of the Gaza Strip and pursue what they described as a "military resolution" against Hamas. The planned operations, the report adds, are expected to target areas believed to contain captives. The escalation, however, may not solely be a military maneuver. The report suggests that it could also serve as a negotiation tactic intended to pressure Hamas into progressing indirect talks on a potential prisoner exchange deal. The sources further stated that any opposition to this plan from the military's top leadership would not be tolerated. 'If the Chief of Staff does not agree with this approach, he should resign,' the sources reportedly said. 'Israeli' Prime Minister Benjamin Netnayahu told his government's ministers he decided to fully occupy the Gaza Strip, according to reports by Hebrew media. Netanyahu used the term 'occupation of the Strip' in private conversations with the ministers, while outlining his vision for expanding military operations in Gaza. The 'Israeli' military will also start operating in areas where it hasn't done so previously, including areas where captives are known to be held, according to a senior official close to Netanyahu cited by Yedioth Ahronoth. 'There will be operations even in areas where hostages are being held,' the official said. 'The die is cast — we are going for a full occupation of the Gaza Strip,' he added. The 'Israeli' military currently controls 75% of the Gaza Strip, and under Netanyahu's plan, it is expected to occupy the entirety of the Strip.

Houthis launch hypersonic missile targeting Ben Gurion airport in Tel Aviv

Published August 5th, 2025 - 06:19 GMT Saree stressed that Yemeni forces would continue their military operations in support of the Palestinian people, vowing to stand by Gaza 'until victory' and to support 'Palestine until liberation and independence.' ALBAWABA- The Yemeni Armed Forces, led by Ansar Allah (Houthis), announced the launch of a hypersonic ballistic missile named Palestine-2, targeting Ben Gurion Airport near Tel Aviv. In a televised statement on Monday, Houthi military spokesperson General Yahya Saree confirmed the strike, claiming it caused widespread panic, forcing millions of Israeli settlers into shelters and disrupting air traffic. بيان القوات المسلحة اليمنية بشأن تنفيذ عملية عسكرية استهدفت مطار اللد في منطقة يافا المحتلة وذلك بصاروخ باليستي فرط صوتي نوع فلسطين2.بتاريخ5_8_2025م — العميد يحيى سريع (@army21yemen) August 5, 2025 General Saree said the operation was carried out in direct retaliation for the storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque by extremist settlers under the protection of Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir. 'Our missile units successfully targeted Lod Airport in occupied Jaffa with a hypersonic ballistic missile,' Saree declared, adding that such strikes will continue 'despite Zionist threats or consequences.' The latest missile strike comes just two days after the Houthis claimed responsibility for three drone operations targeting Israeli sites in Jaffa, Ashkelon, and Haifa. These escalating attacks mark a growing involvement of Houthi-led forces in the regional conflict, as they position themselves as defenders of Palestine and Islamic holy sites. © 2000 - 2025 Al Bawaba (
