VPK appoints Patrick Leclercq as Corrugated Board divisional CEO

Yahoo14-07-2025
VPK Group has announced the appointment of Patrick Leclercq as the new divisional CEO of its Corrugated Board division.
Leclercq has been with the company since 2017 and gained experience in various roles across Belgium, the Nordics, and France.
His background and strategic understanding are expected to contribute to the development of the division.
In a recent video interview, Leclercq discussed his approach to leadership and the current landscape of the corrugated board sector, highlighting the need for collaboration across borders, the company's sustainability efforts, and the importance of its workforce.
Leclercq said: 'People are 80% alike across borders, but the difference lies in the 20% nuance. These insights help me today in my role across more than ten countries.'
VPK Group operates 70 facilities in 21 countries and employs approximately 7,000 staff members.
The company focuses on providing packaging solutions through its main divisions: Recycled Paper, Corrugated Packaging, and specialities with solid board, cores, and edge protectors.
VPK launched the new BOBST 4-colour casemaker in Oudegem, Belgium, in May this year. Replacing two older Langston machines, the facility enables sustainable production.
In April this year, VPK Group strengthened its presence in Italy by acquiring Open Imballaggi, a producer of corrugated cardboard packaging based near Bergamo in Lombardy.
The deal aligns with VPK's strategic goals to broaden its global footprint and enhance its operational efficiency.
With this acquisition, VPK Group seeks to further its long-term development strategy, reinforcing its vertically integrated approach within the paper and board packaging industry.
"VPK appoints Patrick Leclercq as Corrugated Board divisional CEO" was originally created and published by Packaging Gateway, a GlobalData owned brand.
