According to German outlet Bild, Aston Martin also declined the interview as they believe Sky shows little interest in the team at other media events, such as press conferences. They are now understood to be setting an example of Sky as interest grows in the team, due to more positive results from both Stroll and Fernando Alonso in recent weeks. Chelsea set for £65m summer transfer boost after breakthrough with Premier League rivals
Chelsea have already banked £130million in player sales this summer transfer window and the Blues are on the verge of offloading three more stars to fellow Premier League clubs Chelsea have agreed the sales of three players for a combined £65million in what's set to fund another splurge in the transfer market. The Blues have spent an eye-watering £242m on new signings this summer, with the likes of Joao Pedro, Jamie Gittens and Jorrel Hato all costing hefty sums. Their arrivals have been offset by £130m in sales, with Noni Madueke, Joao Felix and Djordje Petrovic among those to depart. Now they're poised to be joined by three more Chelsea players who aren't in Enzo Maresca's plans. On Monday, the Blues made a triple breakthrough as they agreed the sales of Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, Lesley Ugochukwu and Armando Broja. The Blues only signed Dewsbury-Hall, 26, last summer, paying Leicester - where he played under Maresca - £30m. The midfielder was only handed two starts in the Premier League, as the bulk of his minutes came in Europe. Everton were alerted to his situation and quickly agreed a deal for Dewsbury-Hall which is worth an initial £25m plus add-ons. Ugochukwu and Broja, meanwhile, are off to newly-promoted Burnley. The pair have each agreed five-year contracts with Scott Parker's side and will cost Burnley around £20m each. Ugochukwu, 21, spent last season on loan at Southampton but was unable to help them avoid relegation. As for 23-year-old Broja, he was loaned out to Everton at the beginning of the 2024-25 campaign before being restricted to just 11 appearances - in which he failed to score - due to injury. The trio's sales are set to give Chelsea more wiggle room as they pursue a deal for RB Leipzig playmaker Xavi Simons. The Blues are also keen on Manchester United want-away Alejandro Garnacho. There could be more outgoings from Chelsea, too, as the Mail report that Borussia Dortmund are in talks to re-sign Carney Chukwuemeka after the 21-year-old spent the second half of last term on loan with the German giants. Tyrique George, 19, could follow Chukwuemeka to Germany after Leipzig lodged their interest. Fellow 19-year-old Marc Guiu is also set to join newly-promoted Sunderland on loan. Some more established names are still on the chopping block, with Raheem Sterling and Ben Chilwell working separately from the Blues' first-team squad. Having gone all the way at the Club World Cup, Chelsea's players returned to training at Cobham on Monday. Maresca's men will host Bayer Leverkusen and AC Milan in friendly matches before starting their new Premier League campaign at home to Crystal Palace on Sunday, August 17. The Blues' first four fixtures are against fellow London clubs. They'll make the short trips to West Ham and Brentford either side of welcoming Fulham to Stamford Bridge.

Newcastle make improved Benjamin Sesko transfer offer to move ahead of Man Utd in chase
Newcastle have upped their bid for Benjamin Sesko as they continue to pursue the RB Leipzig striker with the Magpies looking to fend off Manchester United's interest Newcastle have lodged an improved bid for RB Leipzig's Benjamin Sesko with their latest offer hitting the £70million mark. The German side had rejected their opening bid, which included add-ons. The Magpies have identified the Slovenian as their top target in attack with Sesko likely being the replacement for Alexander Isak, who is pushing for a move to Liverpool. Newcastle know that Manchester United too are keen on the Leipzig frontman, but are yet to bid. It puts Eddie Howe's side in pole position currently to land the striker, who has reportedly told his team-mates in Germany that he will be moving on this summer. Whilst United are interested it is thought that currently they would not pay as much as Newcastle - it comes as United have been slammed for missing out on an Arsenal star after Bruno Fernandes let rip at his team-mates. Positive talks have been held between Newcastle co-owner Jamie Reuben, Leipzig and the 22-year-old striker, as first reported by the Athletic. Sesko is understood to be open to both projects but Leipzig are adamant that they will not sell until their valuation is met. The Slovenian is among the brightest young forwards in Europe and the Bundesliga outfit want to ensure they get a fee that reflects that. Leipzig are without Champions League football this term but will not sell their top players on the cheap with some of their other leading lights attracting attention. Newcastle recently turned down an opening offer of £110m from Liverpool for Isak, who did not feature on the club's recent pre-season tour, citing an injury issue. He was later seen training at former club Real Sociedad. Isak has now been at St James' Park for three years and has continued to blossom since making a club-record move. He is now among Europe's top strikers but is haggling for a move elsewhere. It is the first time in the Saudi-era at Newcastle that a major name has expressed a desire to push for the exit door, leaving the club with a decision to make. They value Isak at £150m and are likely to hold out for close to that figure. The Swede has years to run on his contract, meaning Newcastle are not under pressure to sell. They also want to know that they've got a top quality replacement through the door before they consider selling. Sesko's contract with Leipzig runs through to 2029, but his deal is thought to include a gentleman's agreement allowing him to leave. He has recorded 39 goals and eight assists in 87 appearances for the German club since moving from RB Salzburg in 2023.
