Alyssa Milano shared her heartbreak over her Charmed costar Julian McMahon's death in an emotional tribute.
In a lengthy post shared via Instagram on Friday, July 4, the actress, 52, spoke about her grief after news broke that the Australian actor had died following a private battle with cancer. He was 56.
'I'm heartbroken,' Milano wrote in the lengthy tribute. 'Julian McMahon was magic. That smile. That laugh. That talent. That presence. He walked into a room and lit it up—not just with charisma, but with kindness. With mischief. With soulful understanding.'
Milano shared a series of images in the post, which included selfies of the pair as well as photos from their work together. Milano played Phoebe Halliwell in Charmed, while McMahon played her love interest Cole Turner throughout the series.

'We spent years together on Charmed — years of scenes, stories, and so many in-between moments. He made me feel safe as an actor. Seen as a woman. He challenged me, teased me, supported me. We were so different, and yet somehow we always understood each other,' she continued. 'Julian was more than my TV husband. He was a dear friend. The kind who checks in. The kind who remembers. The kind who shares. The kind who tells you the truth, even when it's uncomfortable — but always with love.'
Milano sent her condolences to McMahon's family in the wake of the tragic news.
'My heart is with Kelly, with Madison, and with Iliana—his girls, his world. He adored them. You could feel it in every conversation, every story, every text. He was a family man above all, and he loved deeply,' Milano wrote.
Concluding the post, Milano added, 'Losing him feels unreal. Too soon. Too unfair. Rest, my friend. I'll carry your laugh with me. Forever Cole. Forever Julian.'

‘It's Always Sunny' Star Glenn Howerton Wanted Series to End: ‘I Was Aching to Do Other Things'

After 20 years and 17 seasons, it's tough to imagine a world where 'It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia' isn't on television, but there was a point where one member of its reliable ensemble — which consists of Charlie Day, Glenn Howerton, Rob McElhenney (aka Rob Mac), Kaitlin Olson, and Danny DeVito — almost bowed out. At the July 1 PaleyLive 20th anniversary panel (via People), Howerton revealed that prior to the start of Season 12, which broadcast on FXX in 2017, he told the creative team, 'Look, I just don't want to wear out our welcome.' 'I was worried that maybe we had sort of peaked or something, and I just was like, you know, we've been doing this for a long time. And I think I was also anxious,' Howerton said. 'I had not figured out yet how to stretch myself and be able to do other things that I wanted to do with my career outside of the show… I just hadn't figured out how to do that yet. I was aching to do other things, and so I was starting to feel a little boxed in, frankly.' He simply said, 'Oh, well I can't stop you.' 'And then Seasons 13 and 14, I came back as an actor but I wasn't in the writers' room.' Howerton had made appearances in many other series, including 'The Mindy Project' and 'Fargo,' but after he 'figured out how to do that' — meaning juggle additional projects — he would take on such hefty assignments as the sitcom 'A.P. Bio' and films like 'The Hunt' and 'Blackberry.' Meanwhile, 'It's Always Sunny' kept going, and so did he. '[They] just kept writing it and kept writing him in,' McElhenney said, the show's official creator. 'And we're like, he's just gonna eventually say he's coming back. That's what happened.' 'It's Always Sunny' will drop its first two episodes of its 17th season, which will contain eight episodes, on July 9. Its season premiere will include the highly-anticipated second part of a crossover event with fellow Philadelphia-set sitcom 'Abbott Elementary.' An episode of that series with guest appearances from the entire 'Sunny' cast aired on ABC in January. Kim Kardashian say she feels ‘empty' in tribute to childhood friend who died from cancer

Reality star Kim Kardashian has shared an emotional tribute to her childhood friend Lindsay May, who died from cancer in February. The 44-year-old, who grew up alongside May in Beverly Hills, said she felt 'empty' following May's death and shared photos of their friendship group celebrating her 38th birthday the year before she died. Kardashian marked May's first 'heavenly birthday' alongside their 'lifer' friends Allison Statter, Simone Harouche and Sarah Meyer Michaelson at a lake house, which the reality star described as May's 'happy place'. 'It was just your birthday and I know you never liked to make a big deal of it, but Happy Heavenly Birthday, Lindz,' Kardashian wrote in the tribute shared to Instagram. 'I waited months to post this, mostly because I couldn't find the right words. Nothing really captures how quiet and empty our lifers chat feels without you in it. I know you'd probably roll your eyes at me posting anything – especially since you didn't really even have social media – but I couldn't go through this lake trip without feeling you everywhere, and I needed to share it. 'The lake was your happy place. It made you feel lighter, healthier… you were you. It'll always be our favourite lifers tradition because it's where we spend time with all of our kids being together and get real time with each other without any outside noise. We felt your absence this year in every sunset, every laugh, every quiet moment. 'Looking back at these pictures from a year ago, I feel so grateful for all the memories we made. We miss you so f***ing much, Lindz. Our world is not the same without you. I guess that's why I hold onto this lake tradition so tightly. We'll always have the lake – and in that, we'll always have a piece of you.' May was the founder of Mayflower Entertainment, a consulting agency that connected high-end brands such as Gucci with partners in the entertainment industry. Kardashian and her 'lifer' friendship group all attended Marymount High School in Bel Air, California when the reality star lived in Beverly Hills, then later in Calabasaas. The Skims founder previously shared a 'Lifers Appreciation Post' showing her gratitude to her long term friends. 'Life is better when you have your lifers!' she wrote, alongside an infinity symbol.

One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest TV Show Gets First Details

The 1975 classic film comedy-drama One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest is being turned into a TV show, with a spin-off series currently in the works. Speaking during an appearance on the indie filmmaking podcast CK Café (via Deadline), producer Paul Zaentz — the nephew of producer Saul Zaentz, who produced the original film — revealed that a spin-off series was in the works. Zaentz said that he had recently been in contact with author Ken Kesey's widow, and that the series would be told through the view of Chief, one of the characters in the film. 'Just now, I've signed an agreement with Ken Kesey's widow to develop a TV series which we'll make through the point of view of the Chief for the first season,' said Zaentz. 'Following the first season, we'll see what happens to the Chief after he escapes [from the psychiatric hospital].' Kesey's original 1962 novel is told from the perspective of Chief Bromden, a towering half-Native American patient at the film's mental institution. Although he's a pivotal figure in the film, Kesey infamously was not a fan of Miloš Forman's 1975 film due to it deviating from the book's POV. In the original film, Bromden was played by Will Sampson. Since the film's release in 1975, talks of a spin-off or remake have been floated for some time. In 2020, a prequel series, Ratched, aired on Netflix for one season, but no other official projects from the source have come out.
