EXCLUSIVE: Tiger Shroff teams up with Murad Khetani and Avane Srimannaryana director Sachin Ravi for a high-concept action film
According to sources close to the development, Tiger Shroff is teaming up with Avane Srimannaryana director Sachin Ravi for a high-concept action film. 'Tiger Shroff has been on the look-out for a new format of action for a while now, and that's when Murad Khetani and Sachin Ravi approached him with a film that pushes the boundaries of action in a new direction. He was bowled over by the vision for telling this intriguing story and went ahead to allot dates to the film on priority,' revealed a source close to the development.
The film will go on floors in October with a 45-day schedule. 'The pre-production work has already started, and director Sachin Ravi along with Murad Khetani are aiming to commence the shoot from the month of October. Action team of international repute will be on board the project, and the process of locking the crew has started,' the source added. The dialogues of this yet untitled high-concept action thriller are being written by Sumit Arora (Jawan, & Border 2) and will hit the big screen in 2026.
The yet untitled actioner will mark the Hindi film debut of Sachin Ravi, who comes from the Rakshit Shetty, and Suni Kumar school of filmmaking. Before directing Avane Srimannaryana, he has been an editor on multiple successful Kannada films like Kirk Party, Ulidavaru Kandanthe, and Simple Agi Ondh Love Story among others. Apart from the Murad Khetani production, Tiger is also a part of the Karan-produced Lag Ja Gale with Raj Mehta as the director. The revenge-based actioner features him with Janhvi Kapoor and Lakshya Lalwani, and is scheduled to go on floors in the second half of November.

7 Heroines, 1 Director, 1 Cinematographer: The Unsung Dynasty Of Tamil Cinema
The Kapoor family has long been a dominant force in Bollywood. Beginning with Prithviraj Kapoor and Raj Kapoor, followed by Rishi Kapoor, Randhir Kapoor, and Rajiv Kapoor, they ruled the industry for decades. Today, their children continue to reign at the box office. Similarly, the Bachchan family stands among the most renowned in the Hindi film industry. However, the film family we focus on here is from Kollywood, not Bollywood. Remarkably, seven heroines, a director, and a cinematographer from a single family have made a significant impact on Tamil cinema. This is the family of Tamil cinema's 'first dream girl', T.R. Rajkumari. The first family member to enter films was S.P.L. Dhanalakshmi, who rose to prominence as an actress in the 1930s. In 1935, the film Parvathi Kalyanam, the debut production of National Movie Tone, was made by Manickam. While searching for talented actors, he discovered Dhanalakshmi in Thanjavur after seeing her dance performance and cast her as the film's heroine. Dhanalakshmi's sister, Tamayanti, also appeared in several films during the 1930s. Later, T.R. Rajkumari joined the family's cinematic legacy. In the late 1930s, director K. Subramanyam visited S.P.L. Dhanalakshmi and noticed a lively young girl named Rajay, who was strikingly beautiful. Believing that beautiful girls often become actresses, he renamed Rajay to Rajkumari and cast her in his 1941 film Kaccha Devayani. Rajkumari was Dhanalakshmi's niece. While earlier family members had limited success, T.R. Rajkumari rose to fame as Tamil cinema's dream girl, paving the way for more relatives to enter the industry. Among them was T.R. Ramanna, a notable director and producer, famous for being the only producer to make films starring both MGR and Shivaji. T.R. Rajkumari's daughter-in-law, Kushalkumari, also became a heroine during the 1970s. Later, Dhanalakshmi's daughters, Jyothi Lakshmi and Jayamalini, established themselves in the 1980s as glamorous heroines in Tamil and Telugu cinema. Jyothi Lakshmi gained fame for the song Kattodu Kuzhal Aada in MGR's film Periya Idathu Penn (1963) and also performed in the hit song Kana Karunguilile in Sethu (1999). Jayamalini, meanwhile, gained cult status for her role in the classic film Jaganmohini (1978). Jyothi Lakshmi acted in around 300 films, while Jayamalini appeared in over 500. The next generation included Jyothi Meena, who performed alongside Koundamani in Ullathai Allitha (1996) and danced with stars like Vijay and Ajith. She also played character roles in numerous films. Jyothi Meena's father was a cinematographer, continuing the family's connection to Tamil cinema. However, at present, no member of this family is active in the film industry. Jyothi Meena was the last actress from the family; she married a doctor and settled down. Her sons have also become doctors, marking the shift of this film dynasty to the field of medicine.

Saiyaara Box Office Collection Day 17: Ahaan Panday-Aneet Padda Film To Cross Rs 300 Crore Soon
Mohit Suri's Saiyaara has taken the world by storm. The film, led by debutant Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, has been ruling the box office ever since the romantic drama hit the screen on July 18. Now the movie is inching towards the Rs 300-crore club. Saiyaara Latest Box Office Collection On Day 17, Saiyaara minted Rs 8 crore at the ticket window, as per a report by industry tracker Sacnilk. This brings the film's total box office collection to Rs 299.75 crore. The Mohit Suri-directed film witnessed an overall Hindi occupancy of 39.10 percent on its third Sunday, August 3. To break it down, Saiyaara's evening shows registered the highest footfall of 56.48 percent, followed by the afternoon shows at 45.87 percent. The night screenings recorded 36.48 percent, while the morning slots stood at 17.56 percent. Saiyaara has touched the hearts of many through its refreshing and poignant tale of love, loss and heartbreak. 'All Viral Reels Are Organic' Recently, videos featuring audiences getting emotional in theatres have been flooding social media. Their over-the-top reactions had many wondering whether it was a paid promotional strategy for Saiyaara. Yash Raj Films CEO, Akshaye Widhani and director Mohit Suri, however, rubbished the claims. Akshaye Widhani, in a conversation with NDTV, revealed, "All those reels are organic. We saw those reels of people crying and we kept sharing them with each other. And people thought that we are getting it done, but it is all organic." He added, "It was amazing to see that when the reactions started pouring in, we started seeing some of these reels from smaller cities, from different centres and none of this was designed. These were actual audience reactions. It would be great if we had the idea before to do it. Honestly, it is the audience that started for us." Mohit Suri chimed in, saying, "You can't script these." Saiyaara centres around an aspiring musician Krish Kapoor who falls in love with a budding journalist Vaani Batra, diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimer's disease. Geeta Agarwal, Rajesh Kumar, and Varun Badola are also a part of the cast. Other Movies At The Box Office After Saiyaara, the immediate following Friday saw no big Bollywood release. Ajay Devgn and Mrunal Thakur's Son of Sardaar 2, which was initially slated for a release on July 25, was pushed to August 1 to avoid clashing with Saiyaara. On August 3, which marked the third day of Son of Sardaar 2 at the box office, it earned Rs 9.25 crore.
