Jenna Ortega's Wednesday Season 2 Premiere Dress Stuns

Jenna Ortega's Wednesday Season 2 Premiere Dress Stuns

Buzz Feed2 days ago
Jenna Ortega is a certified fashion girl! There! Who says? Me, an idiot with a keyboard! So there! Oh, you're not being defensive? Well, I couldn't come up with another introduction, so it's staying!
ANYWAY, Jenna has been turning looks lately, from wearing actual glass to referencing a Carrie Bradshaw look.
So it's minimally surprising that the 22-year-old just showed up to the London premiere of Wednesday Season 2 wearing one of her best dresses to date:
The look is fresh from the Ashi Studio Couture Fall-Winter 2025/26 runway, comprising of a waste corset and latex top and skirt. It was styled by Enrique Melendez.
The collection was inspired by a "world in chaos," with a press release noting, "The silhouettes in this collection reflect a range of obsessions and tributes to the past century, an old Paris, the richness of ancient cultures, a sense of decay, or the work of great photographers; yet always touched by contemporaneity."
Amid a sea of nude dresses dominating the red carpet over the past decade, it's personally refreshing to see one that pushes the envelope, doesn't appear over hetero-sexualized, and suits the theme of the event (like, spooky).
As for the makeup, which notably includes the bleached brows look, its by Melanie Inglessis in partnership with Dior.
As for the veeeery long braid, it's done by Cesar Deleon Ramirez.
Consider the evolution from Season 1:
And here's the rest of the cast, for posterity:
An inspiration to short people everywhere!

Jenna Ortega finds life online 'very isolating'

Jenna Ortega finds life online "very isolating" and worries it's "harder to find a sense of self" in the age of social media. The Wednesday star, 22, is convinced many people "don't talk to each other in person" anymore and she thinks it has eroded their sense of community - insisting she likes the idea of life in the 1970s when there was no social media or cell phones. She told the BBC: "I wasn't around in the 70s, but I hear stories of people knocking on their neighbours' doors, and the bikes going all throughout the city, and just expecting to meet someone at a certain time on a certain location ... "[Today] people don't talk to each other in person. They're interacting and finding their community online, which can be very isolating. "Also, there are so many voices and so many opinions that you're exposed to, much more than you would typically be, or that humans are kind of meant to be exposed to. "So I think it's harder to find a sense of self. Young people are struggling to find: 'What makes my voice stand out? What is it about me in this world and this society today that gives me a sense of purpose or control or authority?'" Jenna went on to insist The Addams Family spin-off show - in which she plays Wednesday Addams - has an important message for the younger generation. She explained: "There's great comfort in seeing people who are so obviously themselves, freely, and place priority where it matters, and that's your family, that's who's in front of you, your special interests, that's your strength and your courage and your confidence in your voice. "It's very easy now to get swept up in some sort of sheep mentality, and I think it's so important for young people to see this family now more than ever." It comes after it was revealed Wednesday has been renewed for a third season. The hit Netflix show is set to return on August 6 for the first half of its second series, but a third run of episodes has already been announced. In a joint statement, showrunners Alfred Cough and Miles Millar said: "It's been a dark delight to watch Wednesday cast her spell over audiences across the globe — one deadpan quip at a time. "We're beyond thrilled she'll be returning to stalk the halls of Nevermore in Season 3. "This time, she'll unearth more of the school's sinister secrets — and descend even deeper into the Addams family crypt. Or, as Wednesday would say: 'Nothing brings a family together like a good exhumation.'"

An iconic video game adaptation is an underrated HBO Max movie to watch (August 1-3)

One of the surprise hits of the year, Final Destination Bloodlines, begins streaming on HBO Max this weekend. The sixth Final Destination might be the best installment since the original. Critics and fans liked it on its way to becoming the highest-grossing entry in the franchise with a gross of $285 million. Aside from Bloodlines, HBO Max has several underrated movies available on the service, including The Meg, a ridiculously fun shark attack movie with one of our best action stars. Check out our picks below. Death of a Unicorn (2025) Death of a Unicorn is a satirical takedown of capitalism and the class system, with a creature-feature at the center of the conflict. On a trip to his wealthy boss's estate, Elliot Kintner (Paul Rudd) and his teenage daughter, Ridley (Jenna Ortega), accidentally run over and kill a unicorn. Instead of leaving it, the duo hides the unicorn in their trunk and continues on with their journey. Recommended Videos While at the mansion, the group discovers that the unicorn has magical healing powers. When Elliot's boss, Odell Leopold (Richard E. Grant), ingests some of the unicorn's horn, his cancer disappears. The greedy Leopolds now plan to exploit the unicorn for its powers and make a fortune. What they don't realize is that more unicorns are on their way to the property, and they're not friendly. Prepare for some brutal kill scenes. Stream Death of a Unicorn on HBO Max. The Meg (2018) There are sharks, and then there's the Meg. Who better to face off against a giant prehistoric shark than Jason Statham? In The Meg, rescue diver Jonas Taylor (Statham) is recruited out of his self-imposed exile to rescue his ex-wife and her crew at the bottom of the Mariana Trench. While down in the trench, Jonas and Co. come face-to-face with a megalodon, an enormous shark that was previously believed to be extinct. When the Meg escapes to the surface, it spells trouble for humanity. It's man versus beast in this guilty-pleasure action movie. The Meg is not Jaws, but that doesn't mean you can't have fun watching Statham slay a shark. Stream The Meg on HBO Max. Mortal Kombat (2021) To countless millennials, Mortal Kombat holds a special place in their hearts. Seeing the arcade game come to life in Paul W. S. Anderson's 1995 adaptation was life-changing to young children and teenagers. The 2021 reboot might not have had the same effect on video game lovers, but it's a lot of fun and admirably mirrors the source material. MMA fighter Cole Young (Lewis Tan) is recruited to join the Earthrealm's fight against the Outworld. Cole trains with many of the game's most recognizable characters, including Sonya Blade (Jessica McNamee), Liu Kang (Ludi Lin), and Kung Lao (Max Huang). Mortal Kombat is rough around the edges, but the fight sequences and production design make for an entertaining watch. Stream Mortal Kombat on HBO Max.

Tyra Banks Says She Finds Popping Other People's Pimples 'Disgusting And Erotic'

Tyra Banks gets really turned on by bodily fluids — but not the ones most would assume. The former Sports Illustrated swimsuit cover model went into vivid detail about some of her very gross interests while co-hosting Thursday's episode of 'Today With Jenna & Friends.' 'I'm going to disgust you,' Banks said just two minutes into the show. 'I like to pick. I like the toe. And if it has some stuff in it, I don't mind digging it out.' 'Now, who are you doing that to?' host Jenna Bush Hager asked Banks, visibly shocked. 'Anyone that wants it,' Banks said with a laugh. 'My mom, my friends, my man, my son. And then a pimple? Like, if you had a pimple—' When Bush Hager asked Banks what would be going through her head if Bush Hager actually had a pimple, the former 'America's Next Top Model' host responded by sensually whispering, 'I want it so bad.' Banks then went on to admit that she can't watch the popular show 'Dr. Pimple Popper' because it gets her way too excited. 'It's disgusting and erotic at the same time,' Banks said. 'It touches those parts of me.' As Banks continued to speak passionately about pus, Bush Hager admitted that pimple popping doesn't bother her as much as picking someone's toes. And this is when — believe it or not — the conversation took a really vile turn. 'Well, sometimes they stink,' Banks began, talking about toes. 'The toenail, because there's been, like, stuff in there. The jam. The toe jam is up in the nail. And then you pick, and then sometimes it's different colors. Sometimes it's brown, sometimes it's green.' When the studio audience collectively groaned from Banks' stomach-churning diatribe, Bush Hager decided to finally shut it down. 'We needed to put on some sort of time delay,' Bush Hager said after her jaw dropped from Banks' colorful descriptions. 'What if somebody's having their cereal?' 'Oh, they're definitely vomiting right now,' Banks admitted. 'The color change was hard for me,' a stunned Bush Hager said to the audience. This is not the first time Banks revealed an unsavory tidbit about herself this week. On Monday's episode of 'Today With Jenna & Friends' the former Victoria's Secret model revealed that she loves to eat 'ice cream' and 'popcorn in bed.' The 'Life-Size' alum went on to explain that if she discovers crumbs in her sheets a few days later, it's just another excuse to snack. 'I clean crumbs by eating them,' Banks said. 'Because if you put it in the trash, I'm like, 'You might get roaches or something.' So just clean it up with your finger and eat it.'
