Meet the 'Next Gen NYC' on Bravo Cast

Cosmopolitan04-06-2025
The Real Housewives franchise premiered 19 years ago with its first edition, The Real Housewives of Orange County, and it has grown massively from there. That means there has been plenty of time and plenty of opportunities for viewers to literally watch the children of the Housewives grow up... and to wonder if there would ever be a day when they'd become reality stars themselves. Well, that day has come. While we still haven't seen a Real Housewives' kid become a Real Housewife themselves, there are a few Housewives offspring starring on the new Bravo show Next Gen NYC.
The show follows a group of (mostly) Gen Z friends living in New York City with all of their friendship drama, relationship drama, and work drama—you know, typical reality TV show stuff. And while Bravo fans might not recognize all of the cast members, there are a few very familiar faces. Read on to learn more about the cast of Next Gen NYC.
Ariana Biermann is the daughter of Kim Zolciak-Biermann, an OG Real Housewives of Atlanta star. The 23-year-old is Kim's second oldest kid, and she appeared on early seasons of RHOA and on her family's spinoff show, Don't Be Tardy. According to her bio on the Bravo website, her New York City dream to is launch a clothing line.

Another kid who grew up on The Real Housewives of Atlanta is Riley Burruss, the daughter of longtime cast member Kandi Burruss. As shown in the trailer for the show, 22-year-old NYU grad Riley will debate whether she should head to law school or try out a career in music.
Instagram: @rileyburruss
Ava Dash is a 25-year-old model, who is the daughter of fashion designer Rachel Roy and Roc-A-Fella Records co-founded Damon Dash. Ava was born in New York, and the show sees her returning to the city after living in Los Angeles. Fun fact: Ava has a connection to the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. She appeared on the show as Crystal Kung-Minkoff's nanny and she dated Diana Jenkins' son, Innis.
Instagram: @ava_dash
Emira D'Spain is an NYU graduate, who was born in Dubai and raised in Dallas, Texas. The 28-year-old is a model—including for NARS and Victoria's Secret—and content creator, who also previously worked as the beauty director for Paper magazine.
Instagram: @xoxoemira
According to his Bravo bio, Shai grew up in China and Israel before moving to New Jersey where he attended high school. Next Gen NYC shows him one year into his New York journey. His connections to the group are his friends, Charlie and Brooks.
Instagram: @shai.fruchter
Another Real Housewives baby, Gia Giudice is the daughter of Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice. Gia appeared on that show since its very first season, when she was only eight years old, and in more recent seasons, she's taken on a more adult role and been given her own confessionals. The 24-year-old is also a podcast host and influencer.
Instagram: @_giagiudice
The last child of a Housewife on the cast is Brooks Marks, the son of Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star Meredith Marks. During his time on RHOSLC, viewers learned about his eponymous athleisure line and one of his fashion shows was featured in an episode. Like some of his Next Gen NYC co-stars, the 25-year-old is also an NYU grad.
Instagram: @brooksmarks
Georgia McCann is another one of the native New Yorkers on the cast—according to her Bravo bio, she's a fourth-generation New Yorker, to be specific. Georgia founded the events agency Channel 1 . Her connection to the cast is her friendship with Charlie.
Instagram: @geowhatgeowho
Hudson is Ariana's boyfriend, who, like her, is from Atlanta. In fact, they've had an on-and-off relationship since they were in junior high! The 23-year-old is an investor, according to Bravo. How might a 23-year-old get the career of an "investor"..? Well, his dad is super rich from founding the fast food chain Zaxby's.
Instagram: @hudson.mcleroy
Lastly, we have Charlie, who is also an investor, as well as a crypto trader. His bio on Bravo's website notes that the 30-year-old has been "ruling NYC's club scene since he was 14." Charlie recently made headlines for his connection to a legal situation involving a cryptocurrency investor, as reported by Page Six.

Greta Lee rides a lightcycle in new 'Tron: Ares' footage at Comic-Con

SAN DIEGO – No one's giddier than Greta Lee about being in a 'Tron' movie. Directed by Joachim Rønning, 'Tron: Ares' (in theaters Oct. 10) brings the computer programs from the digital Grid into the real world for the first time, all set to a cool Nine Inch Nails soundtrack. A Comic-Con panel for the sci-fi action film on Friday, July 25, debuted new footage, including a moment where digital warriors Ares (Jared Leto) and Athena (Jodie Turner-Smith) are sent to reality to take an important piece of code from programmer Eve Kim (Lee). A high-speed chase ensues, and Eve winds up stealing one of her pursuers' lightcycles. Join our Watch Party! Sign up to receive USA TODAY's movie and TV recommendations right in your inbox And it kind of made her life. 'I told my agents to find me something where I can ride a lightcycle. I actually got to ride one. It was insane,' said Lee ('Past Lives'). 'I never could have imagined it could be that fun.' Her character is also seen in the Grid riding a nifty speeder vehicle alongside Ares, with Athena's drones in hot pursuit. (She makes a deal with Ares that he'll return her to the real world in exchange for the code he needs.) One person almost as excited as Lee is the OG 'Tron' star himself, Jeff Bridges. 'It's so cool, man!' said the actor, who reprises his role as Kevin Flynn from the 1982 first film and 2010's 'Tron: Legacy.' 'Artificial intelligence, that's on everybody's hearts and minds these days, and I'm glad to be part of this story.' Bridges was joined on the panel by original 'Tron' writer/director Steven Lisberger, who said Bridges has 'been a gift to 'Tron' since day one' and over the years has seen 'Tron' become real life. 'That's more far out than 'Tron,' ' he said. 'We kind of created our own genre with virtual adventure and it's not going away,' the filmmaker added. 'It's not that Tron was ahead of its time. It's that everyone else was late.' Leto admitted that he's an 'official 'Tron' superfan,' and the actor spearheaded the making of the third movie. Back in 1982, 'video games were exploding, and films were a huge part of my life. ('Tron') just grabbed a hold of me. It took me to a place I'd never been before and rattled my imagination.' During his first day on the set, Bridges heard that Leto only wanted to be called by his character name, Ares. 'I could understand that,' Bridges said. 'It's a tough part, man, to play a program. I figured I'm playing Flynn, I'm the guy who created this thing, but I didn't wanted to offend him as a thespo. I said, 'Can I call you Air?' He said, 'You can call me whatever you want.' ' Leto got such a kick out of being around Bridges that he actually yelled 'cut' early during one take: 'I couldn't stop smiling because I was working with this guy.' There is connective tissue between 'Ares' and the original 'Tron,' from props to characters: For example, Evan Peters plays Julian Dillinger, a descendant of 'Tron' baddie Edward Dillinger (David Warner). Lee said 'Ares' is 'absolutely for superfans and die-hards, but we have this exciting opportunity to usher in a whole new audience for 'Tron.' I think we'll be able to connect a lot of different people with this movie.' Leto also shouted out 'Tron' music over the years. He called the Daft Punk soundtrack 'incredible' and was downright giddy himself about Nine Inch Nails' contributions to 'Ares.' A new music video for the single 'As Alive As You Need Me to Be' premiered at Comic-Con. 'Very few people could fill those shoes,' said Leto, and Nine Inch Nails "made music that will last a lifetime.'

‘Vanderpump Rules' Season 12 Teaser Pokes Fun at Cast Shake-Up: ‘Help Wanted'

"The faces may have changed, but my rules? They've stayed the same," Lisa Vanderpump says in a new Bravo clip In the wake of the cross-season drama dubbed Scandoval, 'Vanderpump Rules' overhauled its cast of characters around SUR owner Lisa Vanderpump going into Season 12. Bravo released a brief teaser for the upcoming season on Friday, poking fun at what came before to hint at what's coming next. The 15-second clip shows Lisa Vanderpump putting up a 'Help Wanted' sign on the door of her sexy, unique restaurant before looking at the camera and winking. A text card then states, 'It's time for a shift.' They've stayed the same,' Vanderpump says in the clip. You can watch the teaser for yourself, below. In November 2024, it was announced that Bravo's hit reality show 'Vanderpump Rules' was in for a total overhaul. Following two seasons of Scandoval, the show sought to build a new cast from the ground up around the former 'Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' star. The reboot will also include a retrospective special looking back at the first 11 seasons of the show. 'The last 12 years of filming have been an extraordinary run full of laughter, tears and everything in between,' Vanderpump said in a statement at the time. 'I can't thank enough those who have shared their lives. How I love you all. In the restaurant business, one shift always gives way to another. Cheers to the next generation of 'Vanderpump Rules.'' 'VPR's' big debacle began in the show's 10th season. At the time, Tom Sandoval allegedly cheated on his longtime girlfriend (and co-star) Ariana Madix — with her then-best friend, Raquel Leviss. Leviss herself, meanwhile, is the ex-fiancée of James Kennedy, who, you guessed it, was yet another cast member. You can see why they needed to reboot. The Scandoval drama continued into the show's 11th season, where Sandoval, Madix and Kennedy all returned. Leviss, on the other hand, did not. The scandal was big enough that it broke containment from the show itself, becoming a popular topic in tabloids and online circles. Since the news of the overhaul, Sandoval has been making appearances on other reality programs, such as 'The Traitors' and 'America's Got Talent,' while Madix is now the host of 'Love Island USA.' A release date for 'Vanderpump Rules' Season 12 has not been set. The post 'Vanderpump Rules' Season 12 Teaser Pokes Fun at Cast Shake-Up: 'Help Wanted' appeared first on TheWrap.

'Vanderpump Rules 'Teases First Glimpse into New Season After Casting Shakeup: 'Help Wanted'

Bravo first announced 'Vanderpump Rules' was being rebooted for season 12 — with a new cast joining Lisa Vanderpump — in November Vanderpump Rules is getting ready to raise the bar! On July 25, Bravo released a teaser on X for the upcoming 12th season, eight months after they announced they were rebooting the series. In the clip, Lisa Vanderpump is seen hanging up a "Help Wanted" sign at SUR as she says in a voiceover, "The faces may have changed... but my rules, they've stayed the same." The video then transitions to show the phrase, 'It's time for a shift.' While no release date has been confirmed, the clip also teases the new season will be 'coming soon.' 'New shift. Same rules. #PumpRules Season 12 shakes things up soon,' the caption reads. The teaser comes after Bravo confirmed in November that a new cast would be joining SUR and TomTom owner Vanderpump, 64, for season 12. The new cast includes a 'close-knit SUR-vers who are as complicatedly involved with one another as their iconic predecessors,' the network announced in a press release at the time. However, no names have been announced. 'The last 12 years of filming have been an extraordinary run full of laughter, tears and everything in between,' Vanderpump said in the release. 'I can't thank enough those who have shared their lives. How I love you all. In the restaurant business, one shift always gives way to another. Cheers to the next generation of Vanderpump Rules.' Alex Baskin, executive producer of the show's production company 32 Flavors, added: 'What a thrill it is to build on the legacy of this series by doing it all over again. With profound appreciation for the original group and their iconic run, we can't wait for the audience to see a dynamic new group of co-workers and friends make their way through life together." Vanderpump Rules premiered in 2013 with stars Kristen Doute, Scheana Shay, Jax Taylor Tom Schwartz, Katie Maloney, Tom Sandoval, Stassi Schroeder, Peter Madrigal, Mike Shay, Laura-Leigh, Frank Herlihy and Ariana Madix. Over the years, cast members have come and gone, with others like Brittany Cartwright, Lala Kent and Rachel Leviss joining the series. After the reboot was announced, a source close to the situation told PEOPLE that the legacy cast learned about the decision one day prior to the news going public. 'They're understandably upset that it's all coming to an end, but no one was necessarily surprised,' the insider said at the time. 'It's more relief that they finally have an answer.' Since 'there were so many fractions' among the cast following the season 11 reunion, the source revealed that Bravo felt they needed to move on with a new group. 'There had been a long pause in production, and nothing had really changed among the cast since the reunion,' the source added. 'Everyone was still stuck in their feelings and refusing to bend. The network felt there was no path forward with the group in that capacity.' A second source noted that money did not play a factor in Bravo's decision to start fresh, noting that the network opted for a reboot before discussions of salaries even began with the former cast members. "It was completely driven by creative," the insider explained. "There weren't any negotiations happening between the cast and the network where money was even discussed."
