Micah Parsons trade row: Trevon Diggs, CeeDee Lamb, 2 other Cowboys respond with ‘One Last Ride' post
'I did everything I could to show that I wanted to be a Cowboy and wear the star on my helmet,' Parsons wrote on X, platform formerly known as Twitter. He was writing in an attachment to a post that read: 'Thank you Dallas.'
'Unfortunately, I no longer want to be here. I no longer want to be held to close door negotiations without my agent present.'
He further added that he had told the executive vice president of personnel, Stephen Jones, that he wanted to be traded. The Cowboys are yet to address the situation.
CeeDee Lamb was quick to tweet: 'Never fails dawg. Just pay the man what you owe em. No need for the extra curricular 😒'
Parsons is entering the final year of his five-year rookie contract with a salary of $24 million but wants a long-term deal that almost certainly would exceed $40 million in average annual value. Since sacks became an official stat in 1982, the 26-year-old and Pro Football Hall of Famer Reggie White are the only players to record at least 12 in each of their first four seasons. The 2021 first-round draft pick has 52 1/2 for his career.
'One Last Ride'
On Thursday, Micah Parsons posted a GIF of Will Smith and Martin Lawrence from Bad Boys for Life with the caption, 'One last ride'. Trevon Diggs reposted the photo with '7/11 4L'.
The cornerback seemed to be playing on Bad Boys for Life with his message: "Diggs (7) and Parsons (11) for Life (4L)."

India vs England: Shubman Gill has more ‘clarity' on captaincy now
India's player of the series India's captain Shubman Gill on day five of the fifth cricket test match between England and India at The Kia Oval in London, Monday, Aug. 4, 2025. (AP Photo/Kirsty Wigglesworth) London: Shubman Gill landed in England after having been given the Test captaincy at 25 years of age, without a proven Test record. A 2-2 scoreline after five gruelling Test matches and 754 runs at an average of 75.4 later, he has retained his poise. On the field, he is the quintessential in-your-face millennial Indian cricketer. Off it, he has been a departure from the norm. 'There are moments like these where you feel the journey is worth it. You should be able to navigate through the highs and lows of life and try to stay balanced, irrespective of winning or losing. It's difficult, but it's a process. That's the real journey,' Gill said calmly after India's win here on Monday. Go Beyond The Boundary with our YouTube channel. SUBSCRIBE NOW! There has been a clear attempt to not come across as an over-the-top cricketer. At the start of the tour, he did throw the gauntlet by declaring his wish to finish as the highest run-getter in the series. Now that he has done that by a fair distance, Gill himself mentioned his indifferent record before coming on the tour. — ShubmanGill (@ShubmanGill) 'Each hundred that I scored had a different significance. And the one in Manchester, to be able to save that game from that situation was special. Each of them has a story and each of them means a lot to me,' Gill said. Poll What do you think of Shubman Gill's performance as a Test captain at 25? Impressive for his age Needs more experience Too early to judge Not a fan of his captaincy The journey as a batter has been fulfilling. As a captain, he acknowledges that he now has a better understanding of the areas he needs to work on. 'I have more clarity where I personally need to work on as a captain,' Gill said before adding, 'There will always be opinions in hindsight. What matters to me is I want to take the most probable decision in that moment.' Shubman Gill and Mohammed Siraj press conference: India stars answer all questions Gill defended the decision to play with three strike bowlers instead of four throughout the series. 'You learn something new. From the first match, there were many things that I got to learn. A lot of people were thinking that I should have played a fourth fast bowler. Karun played instead of the fourth pacer and his half-century in the first inning was equally important for us. Opinions are made after the match,' he said. At various stages of the series, he has looked a bit lost as a captain. There were times when his deputy Rishabh Pant and KL Rahul would look more involved. On Monday, he looked in control. He had conversations with his two pacers after every ball. He left the field open for Gus Atkinson to take easy singles even with No. 10 and No. 11 at the crease. 'We wanted them to take 30 scoring shots instead of a few to the boundary,' was his curt explanation of his tactics. The result shows the move paid off. 'I only believe in S...' – Google salutes Mohammed Siraj's heroics at The Oval
Google paid tribute to Oval's hero Mohammed Siraj (AP | X) India's fast bowler Mohammed Siraj delivered a match-winning five-wicket haul on Monday at The Oval, leading India to a thrilling six-run victory over England and leveling the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy 2-2. England, starting as favourites on the final day needing just 35 runs with four wickets in hand, fell short as India's bowlers orchestrated a stunning turnaround in the morning session. Siraj played a pivotal role in dismantling England's batting lineup, first dismissing Jamie Smith with a caught-behind after UltraEdge confirmed a faint edge. He then trapped Jamie Overton lbw with a sharp inswinger, a decision that remained unchanged even after England reviewed it. Go Beyond The Boundary with our YouTube channel. SUBSCRIBE NOW! Prasidh Krishna also played his part in England's collapse by bowling Josh Tongue with a pinpoint 141 kph yorker, reducing England from 347/6 to 354/9. "I have a wallpaper on my phone that says 'Belief.' And I always believe in myself. I was just focusing on bowling in the right areas. I wasn't too concerned about conceding boundaries—I just wanted to stick to the plan and take wickets," Siraj said after the match. Following Siraj's heroics, Google India paid tribute to him, taking a cue from his now-viral quote: 'I only believe in Jassi bhai,' which he had said about Jasprit Bumrah after India's 2024 T20 World Cup win. In a clever twist, Google turned that phrase into a tribute to Siraj himself. Poll How important is belief in sports performance? Extremely important Somewhat important Not important Unsure 'Congratulations Team India,' Google India wrote on X, along with an image showing a search for "I only believe in S," where "Siraj bhai" amusingly appears as the top suggestion. Earlier, Google India had also tweeted about Siraj downloading an image of the word 'Believe' from Google. "There are Google Searches and then there's this," the tweet read. It was a moment of redemption for Mohammed Siraj in more ways than one. Not only did he make up for the dropped catch of Harry Brook — who went on to score 92 after the reprieve — but he also bounced back from the disappointment of Manchester, where he was the last man out, bowled by Shoaib Bashir while trying to defend. Shubman Gill and Mohammed Siraj press conference: India stars answer all questions Reflecting on the missed opportunity, Siraj said, 'Honestly, I didn't think I had stepped on the boundary cushion after holding onto the catch. It was a match-changing moment. Harry Brook went into T20 mode after that, and we were behind in that phase. Thanks to the almighty.' He added, 'I always have the belief that I can deliver for the team in any situation.' For real-time updates, scores, and highlights, follow our live coverage of the India vs England Test match here. Astros' Isaac Paredes will rehab hamstring injury instead of undergoing season-ending surgery
MIAMI (AP) — Astros third baseman Isaac Paredes will rehab his right hamstring injury instead of undergoing surgery in hopes of returning before the season is over, general manager Dana Brown said Monday. HT Image Paredes sustained what Brown described as a 'severe' right hamstring strain in a loss to the Seattle Mariners on July 19. He's had multiple rounds of imaging done since then and received a second opinion last week from a doctor, who told him his two choices were to rehab the injury or undergo season-ending surgery. Paredes received a platelet-rich plasma injection for his hamstring and will begin his rehab stint, which will mostly take place in Houston around the team, Brown said. He added that the immediate course of action will be a 'long period' of letting the hamstring rest before beginning any sort of exercise. 'His whole opinion on this is, he wants to work hard to try to get back this season," Brown said before Houston's series opener at Miami. "Of course, he's going to dedicate himself to getting back.' The Astros (62-50) currently lead the AL West with around 50 games remaining in the regular season. Surgery would have sidelined Paredes at least six months. 'He's doing well and he's working hard," Astros manager Joe Espada said. "He's in good spirits, and I know he would rather be on the field. We hope for the best.' Paredes was injured running to first base on a single to left field during a 7-6, 11-inning loss to Seattle. He left the game and was replaced by Zack Short. The 26-year-old Paredes is hitting .259 with 19 home runs and 50 RBIs this season. Brown said that while it is too early to know if foregoing surgery could cause lingering issues in the long run, the team was informed of NFL players who have come back with no problems after rehabbing similar hamstring injuries. 'You can come back from this injury, he said, "even though it was significant.' ___ AP MLB:
