Mintah Declines To Comment On Naturalisation Rumours
When asked about media reports suggesting that plans are underway to make him a naturalised player for Harimau Malaya, the Ghanaian-born player remained tight-lipped.
'At the moment, I can't really say anything about that. I'm not in a position to speak officially right now,' he told Bernama when met at the 2024/2025 Super League Player of the Month award ceremony at the Professional Footballers Association of Malaysia (PFAM) office here today.

However, the 29-year-old player who has played in the Malaysian League (M-League) for the past five years, was clear in his desire to don Malaysian colours if the opportunity arises.
He also admitted that he follows Malaysia's national team matches closely.
'I would give 100 per cent of course. Malaysia feels like home to me. I feel really good here and I want to give everything back to this country because it has helped me a lot. I want to repay that,' he said.
Last March, media reports suggested that the former Terengganu FC player could become the latest footballer to be naturalised, having played consistently in the M-League for the past five years.
He began his M-League journey with Terengganu FC II during the 2020 season.
Meanwhile, Mintah who was named the 2024/2025 Super League Player of the Month for February, said he was delighted to receive the award for the first time.

Elvis advances as Jinq En turns back the clock at Singapore worlds
KUALA LUMPUR: It was a positive day overall for the national contingent at the World Aquatics Championships in Singapore today (Aug 2). In swimming, Phee Jinq En's decision to skip the women's 100 metre breaststroke on Monday (Aug 28) paid dividends at the OCBC Aquatics Centre as she clocked her fastest time in the 50m breaststroke in over five years. Jinq En, 27, who has battled injuries and illness in recent seasons, clocked 31.78 seconds to place 30th from 53 starters in the preliminaries. Her time was just over three-tenths of a second off her national record (31.40s) which she set en route to winning the gold at the 2019 Manila Sea Games. Jinq En had picked up a hip injury during training last week and opted to sit out the 100m breaststroke on Monday to focus on the 50m event, which is her favoured event. Only the top-16 advanced to the 50m breaststroke semi-finals. In diving, Elvis Clement kept hopes of seeing a Malaysian diver make the final of an individual event in Singapore alive after booking his spot in the semi-finals of the men's 10m platform individual event. Elvis' dives scored 64.50, 72.00, 82.50, 86.70, 62.40 and 64.80 for a 432.90 total to place 10th overall and comfortably make the top-18 cut for the semi-finals tomorrow (Aug 3). Only the top-12 divers from the semi-finals will qualify for the final, which will also be held tomorrow. So far, Malaysia has yet to qualify for the final of an individual event at this edition of the world meet. The men's singles shuttler is just one win away from joining an elite group of Macau Open champions after storming into his first-ever World Tour final at the Super 300 event today. The world No. 45 showed grit and maturity to battle past India's world No. 47 Tharun Mannepalli 19-21, 21-16, 21-16 in a tough 81-minute semi-final at the East Asian Games Dome. His reward?
