'Regardless, I enjoyed the past two years with them, both on and off stage, and I support whatever they feel is best for the band.
'In my 40 years of drumming professionally, I've never been let go from a band, so while I'm not angry - just a bit shocked and disappointed.
'But as most of you know, I've always worked freelance and bounced between bands, so, I'm fine.
'Stay tuned for my 'Top 10 possible reasons Josh got booted from the Foo Fighters' list.'
Freese had joined the band in 2023 following the tragic death of Taylor Hawkins, who died suddenly while on tour in Colombia in March 2022.
Fans and fellow musicians quickly rallied behind Freese, with many stunned by the sudden axe.

One fan wrote: 'Damn. I became a fan of Josh very quickly after we lost Taylor. Really hoping this is Shane about to take his dad's seat.'
Reactions also poured in from well-known names.
Mike Portnoy, former drummer for progressive metal band Dream Theater, said:'Damn I'm shocked! You seemed to be the perfect fit!'
Comedian and actor Tim Heidecker, known for cult shows like Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job!, added:
'Upside is you won't have to hear any of those awful songs!'
And Wendi McLendon-Covey, star of Bridesmaids and The Goldbergs, chimed in:
'WTF???!!! But hey, you'll always be fine. You might actually be fishing a billet. Love to you and your family!'
The Foo Fighters have yet to comment.
Taylor, 50, was found unresponsive in his hotel room.
A toxicology report revealed a mix of substances in his system, though no official cause of death was publicly confirmed.
Many fans have speculated Taylor's son Shane Hawkins, who wowed crowds drumming in tribute to his dad at the Wembley memorial concert, could now be stepping into the role.

Earlier this year, it was suggested their break up had turned toxic as they carved up their £120million fortune. The former couple first said they would continue to be based primarily in the UK, for the sake of continuity and prioritising the education of their three children, aged 17, 14 and ten yet neighbours claimed the situation was "war." Now, Home And Away alum Isla has taken to social media to re-post a message from the She Inspires Strength account. It read: "For all those men who say 'why buy the cow when you can get the milk for free' here's an update for you. "Nowadays 80 per cent of women are against marriage. "Why? Because women realise it's not worth buying an entire pig just to get a little sausage." While the post did not show any public comments, it was thought she was referring to her Borat actor ex, 53. DIVORCE SETTLEMENT Confessions of a Shopaholic star Isla came just weeks after the celebrity couple tied up divorce proceedings. In a message posted simultaneously on both their Instagram sites last month, the pair said: 'Our divorce has now been finalised. Watch the awkward moment Isla Fisher revealed Valentine's Day plans with Sacha Baron Cohen - despite having already secretly split "We are proud of all we've achieved together and, continuing our great respect for each other, we remain friends and committed to co-parenting our wonderful children. "We ask for the media to continue to respect our children's privacy.' Baron Cohen and Fisher first met in 2001 and married in 2010. They were believed to have one of the strongest marriages in showbusiness - before quietly separating in 2023. They then publicly announced their break-up the following year. All the signs Isla and Sacha had secretly split The couple have revealed they actually split last year, despite only just revealing their divorce. Here we look at the signs they had already broken up before revealing their split news: Social media silence - Sacha has been absent from Instagram since last Christmas. Spending time with friends - Isla has been been following that classic post break-up move of spending more time with her girlfriends. Hidden ring finger - No fans noticed at the time, but in many Instagram shots from this year, Isla has hidden her right hand so her wedding finger was not visible in many shots. Missing man - The last image Isla shared of her and Sacha prior to the divorce announcement was back in November last year. They announced the separation last year with a picture of themselves wearing tennis whites and noted: "After a long tennis match lasting over 20 years, we are finally putting our racquets down." "We have always prioritised our privacy and have been quietly working through this change. We forever share in our devotion and love for our children. We sincerely appreciate your respecting our family's wish for privacy." STAR CLASH? The couple appear to have amicably resolved any differences there might have been between them. This is despite previous suggestions the couple's divorce may have been turning acrimonious as they carved up their estimated eight-figure fortune. A source said: 'It's all sorted. Now Sacha and Isla both just want to get on with the rest of their lives – and focus on their family's well-being.' The celeb couple - who have three children together - first met at a party in Sydney, Australia in 2001. Speaking of their first encounter, Baron Cohen recalled that Fisher was "hilarious". He remembered: "We were at a very pretentious party, and me and her bonded over taking the mick out of the other people at the party. I knew instantly. I don't know if she did." 6 The pair's split was said to have turned toxic as they fought out their fortune Credit: Getty 6 The actress, 49, is active on social media Credit: Getty

Loose Women star rages 'what the hell?!' as they support John Torode after axe
Celebrities in the world of showbiz have supported John Torode after he was sacked from his role on MasterChef. MasterChef's veteran host John Torode was left seething after discovering he'd been axed from the culinary competition, having stumbled upon the announcement on the BBC's own website. The 59-year-old presenter was reportedly shattered when the BBC and production company Banijay confirmed his departure following allegations of racist language. This bombshell follows shortly after the corporation severed ties with his co-presenter Gregg Wallace, in light of 45 upheld misconduct claims. The BBC released a statement saying: "John Torode has identified himself as having an upheld allegation of using racist language. This allegation, which involves an extremely offensive racist term being used in the workplace, was investigated and substantiated by the independent investigation led by law firm Lewis Silkin. "John Torode denies the allegation. We will not tolerate racist language of any kind and, as we have already said, we told Banijay UK, the makers of MasterChef, that action must be taken. John Torode's contract will not be renewed." It is believed that John's agent was given a mere 11 minutes' heads-up before the news broke to the public, reports the Express. In the wake of the controversy, celebrities are rallying behind John, with Loose Women star Jane Moore expressing her disbelief in her recent Sun column. She wrote: "What the hell? Even serial killers get to see the evidence against them and put up a defence in court. "But in the world of corporate HR, it seems that a Caesar-like thumbs up or down is delivered on someone's reputation and career without the chance to mount a robust challenge." Taking to Instagram, a defiant John declared: "Although I haven't heard from anyone at the BBC or Banijay - I am seeing and reading that I've been 'sacked' from MasterChef and I repeat that I have no recollection of what I'm accused of. "I have loved every minute working on MasterChef, but it's time to pass the cutlery to someone else." Meanwhile, McFly's Danny Jones showed support by liking John's Instagram post, in which he expressed his bewilderment at being axed from the programme.
