The Rapids, in the thick of the playoff hunt, did not want to move Mihailovic at first, but the U.S. men's national team player requested they approve Toronto's bid, per the report. The $8 million fee would mark a club record for Colorado. There is a reported $1 million in add-ons and a sell-on percentage tied to the deal. Mihailovic, 26, is headed to his fourth MLS club. He joined the Rapids ahead of the 2024 season after time with the Chicago Fire (2017-20), CF Montreal (2021-22) and the Dutch club AZ Alkmaar (2023).
