
CBSE annouces National Teacher Award 2025, send nominations by July 6
The CBSE National Teacher Award 2025 self-nominations have been opened, the deadline for which stands on July 6. The award by the Central Board of Secondary Education aims to honour dedicated teachers and principals from CBSE-affiliated private independent schools who have shown exceptional commitment to education.To apply, teachers must have completed a minimum of 10 years of continuous service in schools affiliated with a recognised board of school education by 31 March 2025.advertisementPrincipals, on the other hand, must have at least 10 years of experience as a teacher and 5 years as a principal in a CBSE-affiliated institution. Those retiring on or after 31 March 2025 are also eligible.
Applicants must apply under only one category. The exams will start on July 15, 2025. The class 12 exams will be held in a single day in two shifts — 10:30 to 12:30 PM and 10:30 to 1:30 PM. The class 10 exams will be conducted on July 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 21, and 22. The class 10 exams will commence with information technology and artificial intelligence. While class 12 exams will begin with core academic subjects such as English Elective, Hindi Elective, Urdu Elective, Sanskrit Elective, and important social science subjects like History, Political Science, Geography, and Economics. Students who were placed in compartment category or want to improve their scores can check the exam schedule by visiting the official website, CBSE Class 10, 12 Supplementary Exam 2025 Guidelines CBSE has also issued strict guidelines to ensure the smooth conduct of the exams. As per the notice, communication devices like mobile phones and smartwatches are strictly prohibited in the exam premises. Violations can result in severe actions under the Unfair Means (UFM) rules. Candidates will get 15 minutes of reading time before the exam begins. The duration of each exam is specified on the date sheet and the admit cards, which students must carry to the exam centres. The CBSE Class 10 and 12 results for 2025 were announced on May 13. The Class 12 results had an overall pass rate of 88.39%, with girls achieving a pass rate of 91.25%, while 85.31% of boys passed. In Class 10, the overall pass percentage stood at 93.66%, with girls outperforming boys by scoring 95.00%, while boys had a pass rate of 92.63%. This year, more than 42 lakh students appeared for the CBSE board examinations, which were conducted from February 15 to April 4, 2025. 75,000 students take part in Karnataka Examinations Authority's seat-selection programme
Bengaluru: Around 75,000 students participated in Karnataka Examinations Authority's UGCET-25 seat-allocation Manthana programme Saturday at govt engineering colleges across the state. The programme was arranged to help students navigate the seat-selection process. Higher education minister MC Sudhakar inaugurated the programme at the VTU-affiliated engineering college in Chintamani, Chikkaballapur, and interacted with students and parents, answering questions raised during the session. KEA executive director H Prasanna participated in the event at Government Engineering College in Hassan. Each participating college had one KEA representative and technical staff. Due to the large turnout, multiple sessions were conducted to facilitate smooth participation. Over 75,000 students, parents participate in UGCET Seat Allocation Manthana
Aiming to streamline the admission process for professional courses, the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) organised the 'UGCET-2025 Seat Allocation Manthana' programme on Saturday at various government engineering colleges across the state, which received an overwhelming response. Higher Education Minister .M.C. Sudhakar inaugurated the programme at a VTU-affiliated engineering college in Chintamani andinteracted with students and parents, answering questions raised during the session. KEA executive director H. Prasanna participated in the event at the Government Engineering College in Hassan. Each participating college had one KEA representative and the necessary technical staff assigned. Due to the large turnout, multiple sessions were conducted to facilitate smooth participation. In Bengaluru, the Manthana event was held at BMS, Ambedkar, and SKIT engineering colleges. At BMS college of engineering alone, more than 10,000 people attended, prompting the use of 19 rooms to conduct simultaneous sessions. Commonly asked questions such as 'How does counselling work?', 'How to choose a college?', and 'How to do option entry?' were explained through video demonstrations detailing the entire seat allocation process. Participants were also cautioned against falling prey to fraudsters promising seat allotments through dishonest means. More than 75,000 students and parents directly benefited from this interactive programme.
