Rs 5 crore legal notice against Nayanthara's documentary makers for using Chandramukhi's footage without consent
And now, months after its release, the documentary has once more garnered spotlight for similar reasons.
Makers of Nayanthara's documentary receive legal notice for her documentary
As per a Cinema Express report, the producers of Nayanthara's Netflix documentary have received a legal notice on behalf of AP International, who hold the copyrights for the 2005-released film Chandramukhi.
Well, the actress included footage from her film with Rajinikanth in her documentary, and the producers have now claimed that it was done without consent.
They further alleged that the team had lent a deaf ear to previous legal notices sent to the actress and her team against using the footage and deleting them from the documentary. They had even demanded a compensation of Rs. 5 crore from them.
Nayanthara and makers of her documentary asked to disclose earnings
The latest development in the matter now stands at the court directing both Tarc Studious and Netflix to delete the footage of Chandramukhi from the documentary.
Moreover, they are supposed to disclose the earnings made through the release of the docu-film through the plea submitted by the producers of the Rajinikanth starrer.
However, the Jawan actress has not yet responded to the matter and there has been no reaction from her side on it.
Nayanthara's work front
Coming to her work front, Nayanthara is eyeing a big pan-India release with Yash's Toxic. Other than this, she is also a part of Mohanlal and Mammootty starrer Patriot, directed by Mahesh Narayanan.
Some of her other projects include Rakkayie, Mega157 with Chiranjeevi, Mookuthi Amman 2, Dear Students and more.

Jurassic World Rebirth Box Office Day 11: Scarlett Johansson's Film To Cross Rs 80 Crore In India
Jurassic World Rebirth Box Office Collections: Jurassic world starring Scarlett Johansson, nears Rs 80 crore in India, earning Rs 76.25 crore in 11 days. Globally Jurassic World Rebirth Box Office Collections: Day 11 Jurassic World Rebirth continues to dominate at Indian cinemas, inching ever closer to the Rs 80 crore milestone. According to industry tracker Sacnilk, the Scarlett Johansson-led dinosaur saga earned an estimated Rs 1.75 crore on Day 11, bringing its total India net collection to approximately Rs 76.25 crore. The film had an impressive start, raking in Rs 56.25 crore during its opening week. Despite stiff competition from James Gunn's Superman and several noteworthy local releases, it held strong with a Rs 18.25 crore second weekend. With momentum still high, analysts project that Rebirth will surpass Rs 80 crore by the end of its second week, potentially positioning it as one of the top-grossing Hollywood releases in India for 2025. The film released in four languages in India — English, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu — with the English version accounting for the highest share of earnings. In a landmark moment for Hollywood films in India, Jurassic World Rebirth became the first international title to host a grand premiere for its Hindi dubbed version at the iconic Raj Mandir cinema in Jaipur. On the international stage, Rebirth has crossed the $500 million mark following its second weekend, with total global earnings reaching around $529 million. North America has contributed $232 million, while overseas markets have added $297 million to the tally. Rebirth pulled in a strong second weekend total of $108 million worldwide, including a solid $40 million from the U.S. market. Heading the overseas pack is China, with an impressive $62.7 million in earnings. The current pace suggests a final global tally near $800 million, making it the lowest-grossing Jurassic World installment, yet still undeniably a major box office success. Directed by Gareth Edwards, Jurassic World Rebirth marks the fourth installment in the beloved Jurassic World series. Despite competition from fresh titles, the film's spectacular visual effects, Higgins-level star power, and global appeal have turned it into a box office juggernaut both in India and abroad.
