Woman Who Accused Christian Horner Leaves Red Bull For New Role: Report
Accuser of Christian Horner's inappropriate behaviour now holds a new role in motorsport, according to a report.
The woman who had accused former Red Bull Racing team principal Christian Horner of inappropriate behaviour has left the team for a new role in motorsport, according to a report in The Daily Mail. Horner twice transformed Red Bull into Formula 1's dominant team over his two decades in charge.
Earlier this month, Horner left Red Bull after two decades in charge, during which time he led them to 14 world titles.
Horner was released from operational duties three weeks ago, without being provided with any explanation. A severance package worth up to £60 million to settle his contract has yet to be agreed.
Despite having her claims rejected, the female employee remained on Red Bull's payroll for many months afterwards, suspended on full pay, though that arrangement stopped time ago, according to the report.
It has now emerged that the woman has taken up a new position.
The paddock was electrified in Bahrain last March when an anonymous email, containing a series of racy texts, seemingly between Horner and the female employee, was sent to Formula 1's leading figures.
A Red Bull team whose time at the top was ending, Max Verstappen won just two of 14 races to end last season and a draining spell early last year when he was cleared of inappropriate behaviour towards a woman team member should have rung alarm bells for Horner.
Instead, just as he did when those allegations emerged in February last year, the British executive carried on working in the hope he could reignite another period of dominance.
Sebastian Vettel won four successive titles under Horner from 2010 to 2013, with Verstappen winning the past four. Red Bull won six constructors' crowns in that time as well.
Horner missed his first Formula 1 paddock appearance since 2004 at the Belgian GP, watching from home as Oscar Piastri claimed a win and Verstappen finished fourth.

Bhima Koregaon commission gets 18th extension
The Maharashtra government has granted an 18th extension to the Bhima Koregaon Commission of Inquiry, which was constituted to investigate the violence that broke out in Pune on January 1, 2018. The unrest occurred near Jai Stambh, a war memorial erected by the British in 1821 to commemorate their victory over the Peshwas. (HT FILE) The latest extension was granted via an order dated July 30 by Chetan Nikam, deputy secretary in the home department, who allowed the panel time until October 31, 2025 to complete its work. The order notes that the previous extension was valid till July 31, 2025, but with more witnesses yet to depose, the commission had requested three additional months. The state government, after deliberation, approved the request and directed the commission to complete all pending depositions and submit its final report by the new deadline. VV Palnitkar, commission secretary, said, 'The commission has been directed to submit the final report by October 31.' So far, the panel has recorded statements from at least 53 witnesses, including political figures such as Sharad Pawar and Prakash Ambedkar, as well as residents of Bhima Koregaon and Vadhu Budruk. The violence on January 1, 2018, had left one person dead and several injured, prompting the state to form the inquiry commission on February 9, 2018, under retired Justice JN Patel and former chief secretary Sumit Mullick. The unrest occurred near Jai Stambh, a war memorial erected by the British in 1821 to commemorate their victory over the Peshwas. As per Dalit accounts, a British force comprising 500 Mahar soldiers had defeated the Peshwa army of 25,000, a symbolic event seen by Dalits as a historic stand against caste oppression.

Revealed! Rohit Sharma's Message To Yashasvi Jaiswal During Oval 100: 'He Said...'
Last Updated: Yashasvi Jaiswal has shared Rohit Sharma's message to him during the Oval Test of the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy. Yashasvi Jaiswal has revealed receiving a brief but crucial message from former captain Rohit Sharma, who was present in the stands, when he was on the way to his century during the Oval Test of the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy on Saturday. Jaiswal said he saw Rohit during the knock (likely during the Lunch break) and said hi to him before the fellow Mumbaikar asked him to 'keep batting' and hang in there. On the first truly difficult pitch to bat on in the series, Jaiswal emerged as India's top scorer, smashing 118 runs off 164 balls with 14 boundaries and two sixes. It allowed India to post 396 runs in the third innings, setting England a challenging target of 374 runs. Mohammed Siraj's wicket of Zak Crawley in the final over of the day meant England went to Stumps at 50/1, keeping India ahead in the contest. 'The wicket was a little spicy. I was enjoying batting. I was enjoying it a lot. I expect that in England, when you play, you play on a wicket like this. Mentally, I was ready and I was just enjoying. I knew what shots I was going to play on this surface," Jaiswal said at the post-day press conference. 'I saw Rohit bhai and said hi to him. He just told me that I should keep batting," he added. Rohit sat in the hospitality area of the ground and watched the entire day, making brief camera appearances. Jaiswal also credited Rohit and other seniors for improving his game. 'Different challenges of playing Tests in different countries, but learnt a lot from my seniors like Rohit bhai, Virat bhai. Now KL bhai, Gill. It's amazing to discuss with them, and learn from their experiences," he said. Apart from showing excellent technique and mentality to overcome England's various plans against him, Jaiswal was also open to chatting up the opponent throughout. In the previous games, it seemed to get the better of him, but in this Test, it seemed different. 'It's all about how I fight. Always, the mentality is to go out there and fight it out and enjoy. Because in the end, (and) as I tell myself that it's the game and we need to enjoy the game. That is very important. With that, we should have fun. I am proud of myself and all my teammates. We want fun. We want a battle in the middle. That is the fun. That's why you play Test cricket," he added. view comments First Published: Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's.
