DECO Launches Wireless COB LED Module at InfoComm 2025 Accelerating Fully Wireless, All-in-One LED Displays

Shenzhen, China, June 11, 2025 -- At InfoComm 2025, held on June 11 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, DECO Integration Technology Co., Ltd. ('DECO') debuted the industry's first COB (Chip-on-Board) LED module integrating its proprietary mmWave Wireless Connection Solution. This marks a major milestone in DECO's roadmap for fully wireless LED display systems, extending its mature cabinet-level solution to the module level. The result: significantly improved splicing efficiency and greater innovation in end-product form factors—offering a more flexible, stable, and efficient system for display integrators and application partners.
As North America's leading professional AV trade event, InfoComm, organized by AVIXA, gathers integrators, engineers, and system builders from around the world.
At Booth #1221, DECO and its core partner NovaStar co-exhibited at InfoComm 2025, jointly showcasing a 108-inch wireless LED display that drew considerable attention. Free from traditional ribbon cables or connectors, modules were wirelessly connected—enabling instant alignment and plug-and-play operation.
'In traditional COB deployments, physical cabling has always been the bottleneck—complex wiring, fragile connectors, bulky structures,' said Cheng Li, Founder and General Manager of DECO.'These problems are magnified in fine-pitch and integrated displays. With this launch, we've removed the final wired link at the module level, delivering a truly wireless end-to-end system. This not only supports slimmer, more integrated displays, but also significantly improves system stability. More than a hardware upgrade, it redefines the logic of LED connections.'
This advancement is powered by DECO's in-house mmWave Wireless Connection chips, deployed at key signal and power nodes. These represent China's first mmWave wireless chips in commercial production and are already shipping with new-generation LED display products.
Key chip models include:
Visitors praised the design of the wireless COB module as 'clean and efficient' and highlighted its strategic relevance.'COB technology reflects the market's push toward high-density and high-uniformity displays,' said one industry expert.'By eliminating cables, DECO's wireless solution addresses long-standing pain points in structure, assembly, and maintenance. As the LED market moves toward full integration, customization, and intelligence, this innovation is well positioned to scale in core scenarios such as fine-pitch, irregular-shaped splicing, and automated assembly.'
Beyond this milestone, DECO continues to enhance its mmWave Wireless Connection Solution, now compatible with multiple mainstream protocols including SPI, Ethernet, LVDS, HDMI, USB and RGB, delivering excellent system compatibility and deployment flexibility.
Reliability-wise, modules have completed 7,000+ hours of error-free operation, and the full solution has passed EMI Class A & B certification, meeting commercial and industrial EMI control standards.
On cost performance, with continued improvements in chip process technology, integration levels, and Moore's Law–driven cost curves, DECO expects core chip costs to drop significantly over the next 1–3 years, making the solution substantially more cost-effective than traditional physical connectors.
DECO's mmWave Wireless Connection Chips are now in volume production. Samples and technical consultation are available upon request [email protected].

Businesses are passing along tariff costs, Fed reports

Businesses across the economy are passing increased input costs from tariffs along to consumers in the form of higher prices, the Federal Reserve's latest anecdotal survey of domestic economic conditions found. Higher costs from tariffs were reported by businesses in all of the Fed's 12 regional districts, and many made the choice to raise prices as a result. 'Many firms passed on at least a portion of cost increases to consumers through price hikes or surcharges,' the Fed's July beige book, released Wednesday, reported. Those businesses that didn't push the additional costs through to their customers saw restricted profit margins, the beige book said, noting consumers' 'growing price sensitivity.' Inflation in the Labor Department's consumer price index (CPI) jumped in June, partly as a result of the tariffs. The CPI ticked up to a 2.7-percent annual increase last month from 2.4 percent in May and 2.3 percent in April. The move was in line with expectations. Many economists have been predicting that inflation coming from tariffs would show up in prices over the summer after the clearing of inventories of wholesale goods purchases made prior to the tariffs. Fitch Ratings recently put the aggregate U.S. tariff rate at 14.1 percent, the highest in decades. While President Trump has instituted a 10-percent general tariff along with China-specific tariffs, and targeted tariffs on some individual goods, his country-specific 'reciprocal' tariffs have been paused until Aug. 1 as trade negotiations continue. Import prices advanced by 0.1 percent in June and deflated by 0.2 percent relative to last year, the Labor Department reported Thursday. The number was below economists' expectations and reflected lower energy prices. Fuel import prices slid by 0.7 percent last month after dropping 5 percent during the previous month amid rising tensions and conflict in the Middle East. West Texas Intermediate crude oil is down more than 10 percent on the month. Taking out fuel and food imports, core import prices increased by 0.2 percent in June after rising 0.1 percent in May. The U.S. dollar is also losing value now relative to other currencies, having fallen about 9 percent since the beginning of the year amid President Trump's trade war. Economists say the weaker dollar could boost inflation. 'Since the Trump administration began imposing tariffs, the dollar has depreciated, which could lead to a larger pass-through from tariffs to consumer prices,' Michael Pearce, deputy chief U.S. economist at Oxford Economics, told the Reuters news agency. 'A weaker dollar boosts the likelihood that firms pass on a larger share of tariffs.'

Samsung DeX turns the Galaxy Z Flip 7 into a pocket-sized PC, but it's missing one key feature

TL;DR The new Galaxy Z Flip 7 is the first in Samsung's clamshell foldable lineup to support Samsung DeX, turning it into a compact, portable PC. DeX provides a full desktop experience on an external monitor and works with a wired connection, even when the phone is closed. While a powerful addition, it lacks the ability to use the cover screen as a touchpad, a feature found on competing Razr phones. Samsung's clamshell folding phones have always been true flagships in terms of specs and performance, but they've lagged behind their larger book-style counterparts in one key area: productivity. For years, the Galaxy Z Flip line has lacked Samsung DeX support, preventing users from turning them into portable PCs. That discrepancy ends with the new Galaxy Z Flip 7, which now becomes Samsung's most compact phone that can double as a portable PC. Samsung DeX is a desktop mode experience integrated into One UI. Instead of mirroring the screen, Samsung phones with DeX support show a desktop-like interface on an external display, complete with a taskbar that displays apps, notifications, and system information on the bottom. DeX mode forces apps to launch in floating windows with PC-like title bars containing controls to minimize, maximize, or close the window. Samsung introduced DeX to its flagship Galaxy S series in 2017, later expanding the feature to its flagship Galaxy Tab and Galaxy Z Fold lineups. Due to thermal concerns, Samsung chose not to enable DeX on any of its previous Galaxy Z Flip devices. However, the company has ostensibly addressed these issues in the Galaxy Z Flip 7, which explains its long-awaited debut on the clamshell foldable. C. Scott Brown / Android Authority When Samsung announced DeX support for the Galaxy Z Flip 7 last week, there was some confusion stemming from the wording in the company's press release. There were questions about whether the Galaxy Z Flip 7 supports wired DeX and if the feature works while the device is folded. Having tested this on my review unit, I can confirm the answer to both questions is yes. You can plug the Galaxy Z Flip 7 into an external display or smart glasses to launch DeX, even without unfolding the phone (as long as you unlock it). From what I can tell, the device offers the full, uncompromised DeX experience, putting it on par with the Galaxy S and Z Fold series. Unfortunately, Samsung didn't enable the DeX touchpad on the cover screen, which is a missed opportunity in my opinion. While too small for many apps, the cover screen is the perfect size for a trackpad, and the Z Flip 7's compactness makes it more suitable for this role than any other Samsung phone. The fact that Motorola's Razr lineup offers this very feature makes Samsung's omission all the more disappointing. To be fair, newer Razr phones lack a wired desktop mode, giving the Galaxy Z Flip 7 an edge in that department. Most people aren't aware of how powerful their phones are, simply because the software often limits that potential. DeX is a feature that truly makes Samsung phones shine, even if it has some rough edges compared to traditional desktops. However, the future of Android's desktop experience looks bright. With Google working to combine Chrome OS and Android into a single platform, the days of a subpar desktop experience are numbered. Hopefully, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 will still be going strong when those platform-level improvements finally roll out. Got a tip? Talk to us! Email our staff at Email our staff at news@ .
