Savannah Chrisley Reveals She Is 'Moving Into a Condo' Following Parents' Prison Release

Savannah Chrisley is moving out from her parents' $1.6 million mansion following their release from prison
"I'm not gonna miss landscapers, I'm not gonna miss pool people," Chrisley joked during a special interview appearance on ABC, sharing that she is instead moving into a condo
Todd and Julie Chrisley are planning to buy a mansion in Charleston and convert it into a hotel, they sharedFollowing her parents' release from prison, Savannah Chrisley is moving out of her parents' $1.6 million mansion — and she isn't dreaming of home ownership.
One month after their release from federal custody, Todd, Julie and Savannah Chrisley sat down with Juju Chang for ABC News Studios' IMPACT x Nightline.
In The Chrisleys: Life After Lockup, which aired on Sunday, June 29, Savannah joked that after two years of caring for her siblings and her parents' Nashville, Tenn. ,mansion, she's looking forward to going back to the "carefree life of a 28-year-old," as Chang joked.
"That's what I keep saying, I'm moving into a condo," Savannah tells ABC, recalling how her family has asked her: "'Aren't you gonna miss a house?'"
"I'm not gonna miss landscapers, I'm not gonna miss pool people," she continues, as her father, 56, chimes in: "I have learned that a house is not a priority to her."
"Maintenance is not a priority to her," Todd adds.
"No, I was raising kids," Savannah added, before recalling how her father reacted when he first stepped back in the Nashville home after just over two years in prison.
"He comes in and is critiquing everything in the house," she laughs. "I was literally fighting for y'all for two and a half years and raising kids, I think the floors are fine."
As for Todd and wife Julie, 52, the couple are looking to move to a new Southern city — Charleston, where they have a new business venture in mind.
"We have hopes of acquiring a mansion there that we're gonna convert to a hotel," Todd shares.
In June 2022, Todd and Julie were convicted of bank fraud and tax evasion. A federal judge sentenced Todd to 12 years in prison and 16 months probation, while Julie received seven years in prison and 16 months probation. The couple reported to prison on Jan. 17, 2023, and roughly 28 months later, President Trump granted them a full pardon.
Following their conviction, Savannah moved into the family's Nashville home, a 5,000 sq. ft. spread on half an acre in the Belle Meade area, which was originally purchased for a reported $1.6 million by her parents when they moved the family from Atlanta to Tennessee, and was regularly featured on their reality show. As the series became more popular, the house began to attract unwanted attention from visitors, according to Realtor.com.
Julie also reportedly purchased a new 12,000 sq. ft. home in Brentwood, Tenn., in April 2019 for $3.4 million. However, after a quick renovation, she placed the property back up for sale with a markup to $4.75 million just two months later. Julie eventually removed the listing after a year, and in 2023, the house finally found a buyer and a deal was closed in an off-market transaction, per Realtor.
Savannah has also been candid in the past about how she's struggled financially to take care of the family following her parents' arrest. In an episode of her podcast Unlocked last year, the 28-year-old opened up about the hardships she's faced in the aftermath of her parents' prison sentences.
'People comment and will say, like, 'Oh, I feel so sorry for you, living off of mom and daddy's stolen money,'' she told a group of friends on the episode. 'And 'You're rich, it's easy, stop trying to act like it's so hard.''

'I struggled," Savannah continued. 'Like, I know what it feels like to not know how you're going to pay your bills that month. 'Cause I was left with three mortgages, and the lawyers, and kids.'
Savannah also became the guardian of two children: her brother Grayson Chrisley, 17, and Chloe Chrisley, 11. Chloe is the daughter of Kyle Chrisley, Todd's second child with his ex-wife, Teresa Terry, and had been under the care of Todd and Julie.
ABC News Studios special is streaming on Hulu and Disney+ beginning on Sunday, June 29.

In Beverly Hills, This $59 Million Estate Rewrites Jackie Collins' Legacy

At nearly 22,000 square feet, 616 N Beverly Drive has mega-presence in Beverly Hills Flats. Carolwood Estates Every home has a history. This one had a Hollywood powerhouse with a best-selling pen and a penchant for leopard print. Before it was a solar-powered mega mansion, this property in the Beverly Hills Flats was the private playground of the late romance novelist Jackie Collins. She wrote steamy bestsellers by the window and entertained Hollywood elite next door—Al Pacino leased her guest house for over a decade. The pool—inspired, it's said, by David Hockney's "A Bigger Splash"—was one element that remained intact, refreshed during the current owners' five-year renovation. Carolwood Estates Now, the house has been reborn. Rebuilt from the ground up—save for the pool—it stands as a bold, modern counterpoint to its Art Deco-style origins. The scale? Monumental. The tone? Contemporary. And the price tag? $59.5 million, making it the most expensive listing currently available in the Flats. The current owners, property investors and philanthropists Ben and Bita Nehmadi, bought the estate in 2016 for $21 million. Then they did what Collins herself might have done with a plot line once upon a time: tore it down to the studs and reinvented it with élan. The result is a 21,780-square-foot estate that stands out in Beverly Hills Flats. It has the size, the presence and the amenities you might find in the gated Beverly Park neighborhood in the hills—but sits just a 15-minute walk away from Rodeo Drive. 'It's rare to get this kind of scale in the Flats,' says Susan Smith of Carolwood Estates, who holds the listing. From the curb, this home makes a statement: all white, sleek lines, towering palms and a footprint that spans two lots. Inside, amenities have been elevated to meet today's expectations: an enclosed glass wine cellar, elevator, full gym, cinema, wet bar, dual kitchen islands, and a built-in espresso machine to fuel your next great idea. The enclosed glass wine cellar is one of many features that wouldn't be out of place in a boutique hotel. Carolwood Estates Upstairs, the primary suite reads like a private wing. There's a lounge area tucked behind velvet curtains, a glam room, a soaking tub, plus a walk-in wardrobe that rivals the upscale shops nearby—spacious enough to host a book club. There are seven bedrooms, 14 bathrooms (yes, 14) and more marble and Italian millwork than some boutique hotels. But despite some of its excesses, the home is also energy-sensitive. It runs on solar power, with a backup generator available in case of need. Utility bills? Reportedly under $200 a year, says co-listing agent Richard Maslan. Impossible not to make a slow-motion dramatic entrance—it's what Jackie would have wanted. Carolwood Estates Outdoors, the original Collins-era pool remains—refreshed, of course—now paired with a hot tub, a full outdoor kitchen and multiple lounge zones. Layered landscaping and mature trees create privacy that feels more park-like than residential. There's also a motor court and dual garages. Staying L.A.-cool by the pool—a masterclass in California style. Carolwood Estates Collins built the original home in the early '90s, inspired by David Hockney's iconic 1967 painting A Bigger Splash . It was bold, theatrical, unapologetically hers. When Collins died in 2015, her daughters sold the property to the Nehmadis, who spent five years transforming it for a new chapter—one that dials back the leopard print, but not the glamour. As dusk falls on the Flats, 616 N Beverly Drive becomes a beacon of old-school glamour. Carolwood Estates For those looking for more space (or more lore), the adjacent property is also available. That's the former guest house where Pacino once lived, listed separately by the same owners for $16 million. Much like the sex-obsessed characters in Collins' 32 bestselling novels, the estate captures the drama and glamour that define Beverly Hills at its best. The only thing missing is a new main character. 616 N Beverly Drive is listed with Susan Smith and Richard Maslan of Carolwood Estates, a member of Forbes Global Properties —an invitation-only network of top-tier brokerages worldwide and the exclusive residential real estate partner of Forbes .

The Original ‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' Movie Is Coming Back to Theaters With New Footage

The first live-action spin on the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles turns 35 this year, and to celebrate, the beloved first entry in the trilogy is making its way back to theaters this summer. But it's not going to be alone: it's accompanied by a behind-the-scenes bonus that includes never-before-seen deleted scenes and footage from making the film. Announced today by Fathom Entertainment, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles will return to theaters for a limited time this August. One of the most delightful comic book adaptations of the '90s, the original has it all—the charming suits that bring Leo, Donnie, Raph, and Mikey to life; Judith Hoag and Elias Koteas creating a pre-Mummy cinematic bisexual crisis as April O'Neil and Casey Jones; and a liberal distrust of the police when it comes to being able to stop a ninja-induced crime wave. And, of course, an all-time Partners in Kryme banger in 'Turtle Power.' But as well as being able to re-experience the classic film, the re-release will also include the debut of Turtles Unmasked, a new featurette packed with brand-new footage from the making of the film. Running before the movie itself, Unmasked will include a new interview with TMNT director Steve Barron, as well as new looks at deleted scenes from the film and new home-video recorded footage from behind the scenes. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles will return to theaters for screenings on August 17 and August 19—tickets are available to pre-order through Fathom Entertainment now. Want more io9 news?
