Automechanika Riyadh 2025 officially opens tomorrow - Middle East Business News and Information
The sold out Automechanika Riyadh will take place from 28 – 30 April, at the Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Centre (RICEC)
The seventh edition of the automotive aftermarket showcase will welcome over 450 exhibitors from more than 30 countries and over 15,000 visitors

Riyadh, KSA: Automechanika Riyadh, Saudi Arabia's leading regional trade show for the automotive aftermarket industry, will officially open tomorrow for a landmark seventh edition, taking place until 30 April at the Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Centre (RICEC).
The event will feature over 450 exhibitors from more than 30 countries and is expected to welcome more than 15,000 visitors, a 15% increase from last year when the show welcomed 13,000 industry professionals.
To facilitate the demand from exhibitors, which are up over 32%, and increased visitor numbers, Automechanika Riyadh will be held across five halls, showcasing a dynamic mix of products and solutions from the automotive market industry.
Saudi companies account for nearly 10% of all exhibitors, underscoring the market growth within the country. Underscoring the international draw of Saudi Arabia and its burgeoning position on the global automotive aftermarket stage, exhibitors will showcase solutions from over 30 countries, from Australia to Brazil, and Cambodia to Peru.
In addition, there will be eight country pavilions with companies from Singapore, Taiwan, South Korea, Thailand, China, Hong Kong, and Turkey on show, as well as two new dedicated areas for Italian and Indian exhibitors.

The packed conference programme will take place across the event's three days. Day one will centre on the theme of Localisation & Aftermarket Innovation with sessions focused on building the Middle East's automotive hub, future-proofing Saudi's automotive workforce, and maximising car care business growth.
The theme switches to Core Aftermarket Operations & Sustainable Supply Chain on day two. The focus will address strategies for the Saudi Arabia aftermarket, maximising digital opportunities in the evolving automotive landscape, and accommodating customers to shape the industry's future in Saudi Arabia.
On the final day, the Modern Workshop will delve into tackling skills shortages, embracing digital change, and aligning business goals in the opening session, which will be followed up by a session focused on preparing technicians for advanced hybrid vehicle servicing.
The product areas showcased at Automechanika Riyadh include Parts & Components, Electronics & Systems, Tires & Batteries, Oils & Lubricants, Accessories & Customising, Diagnostics & Repairs, Body & Paint, and Car Wash & Care.

Saudi announces $5 billion in Syria investments - Region
A Saudi delegation visiting Damascus on Wednesday inked investment and partnership deals valued at $5 billion to help rebuild war-battered Syria, the oil-rich Gulf kingdom announced. Saudi Arabia has been a major backer of the new Syrian government, which seized power after Islamist-led rebels toppled longtime ruler Bashar al-Assad in December following 14 years of civil war. The delegation of some 150 investors and representatives of the Saudi public and private sectors, led by Investment Minister Khalid Al-Falih, attended a forum in Damascus. Earlier this month, President Donald Trump formalised the dismantling of US sanctions on Syria, hoping to reintegrate the country into the global economy. He had already lifted most of the measures in May, responding to appeals from Saudi Arabia and Turkey. The US president met Syria's interim leader, Ahmed al-Sharaa, during a visit to Saudi Arabia the same month. Sharaa, a former jihadist, had also paid a visit to Riyadh in February in his first trip abroad since Assad's ouster. Earlier this year, Saudi Arabia and Qatar pledged to settle Syria's debt to the World Bank, totalling about $15 million. Despite vows to unify the country, the new government in Damascus has struggled to maintain order, with deadly clashes involving minority groups raising questions about Syria's stability. Bloody violence in Sweida province earlier this month started with clashes between Druze fighters and Sunni Bedouin tribes, but soon escalated, with Israel later intervening with air strikes targeting government installations. More than 1,300 people, mostly Druze, were estimated to have been killed during the fighting, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitor. Juventus make Conceicao loan permanent - World
Portuguese international Francisco Conceicao, who spent last year on loan at Juventus, has completed a full transfer from Porto, the Serie A club has announced. The 22-year-old winger, who has 11 caps for Portugal and scored seven goals in 40 appearances in all competitions for Juventus last season, has signed a deal taking him up to 2030. "Juventus announce that they have reached an agreement with FC Porto for the permanent acquisition of Francisco Conceicao," Juve said in a statement released on Tuesday evening. Juventus, the only Italian club listed on the stock exchange, said it had paid "30.4 million euros ($35.6 million) payable in four annual instalments", in addition to 1.6 million euros in fees and other costs. Saudi delegation aims to invest billions in Syria: State media - Economy
A Saudi delegation of over 100 investors arrived in Damascus on Wednesday ahead of a conference aimed at securing billions of dollars in deals to help rebuild war-battered Syria. The oil-rich Gulf kingdom has been one of the major backers of the new Syrian government that seized power after Islamist-led rebels toppled longtime ruler Bashar al-Assad in December, after 14 years of civil war. Saudi state broadcaster Al-Ekhbariya said the country's investment minister, Khalid Al-Falih, was leading the delegation, which included 120 investors, aiming to ink agreements worth 15 billion riyals ($4 billion).
