'Smallville' actor Tom Welling arrested for alleged DUI
The "Smallville" star was arrested at an Arby's by a Yreka police officer, Fox News Digital can confirm. He was then processed into custody by the Siskiyou County Sheriff's Office around 2 a.m. local time.
Welling was released around 7 a.m. on Sunday after being charged with a misdemeanor citation. The actor is scheduled to appear in court on March 11.
Fox News Digital reached out to Welling's representative for comment.
Welling is most known for his role in "Smallville," which premiered in 2001. The actor portrayed Superman and the series focused on the superhero's beginnings.
The actor was joined by a handful of famous co-stars for The CW series, including Michael Rosenbaum, Allison Mack, Kristin Kruek and Justin Hartley.
Welling went on to star in films such as "Cheaper by the Dozen" alongside Steve Martin and Bonnie Hunt.
The actor also appeared in "The Fog," "Draft Day," "Lucifer" and most recently "Mafia Wars."
Before his arrest, Welling shared a birthday tribute to his wife, Jessica Rose Lee Welling.
Welling shared a series of photos of his wife, who he married in 2019. Welling and Jessica share two sons.
"Happy Birthday to our Angel who makes our dreams come true and inspires us even more! We love you to the moon and back!" he wrote.

She said she was able to combat that by gradually learning to believe in herself and what she had to offer, and by figuring out how to 'find that confidence' within herself. And as other childhood stars were succumbing to the temptations of the limelight, Sweeney said her family was really instrumental in helping her to keep her head on straight. 'I was really lucky. I'm from LA, so it wasn't a big fish-out of-water story, and my parents are super grounded and normal and real and tough and strict,' she said. 'I was never left out on my own to figure that out. And one of the things I learned at 'The Biggest Loser' is that you are getting signs from your body. Your body is trying to communicate with you. And family is a huge part of that bigger picture. The Hallmark actress, who recently celebrated 25 years of marriage with Sanov, said 'the little things' in life are what matter the most. 'Communication is key,' she said. 'I know that's maybe too cheesy to say, but just staying in contact, talking all the time, checking in on the little things. I used to say that gestures, loving gestures are so important, but it's not romantic. Like, 'Oh, bring me flowers every week.' It's little things like, he charges my phone for me when I can't find it. I make him cappuccino in the morning just to be nice. And then not only doing those things for your partner, but recognizing … and acknowledging them and allowing that to be the sweet care and gesture that it is.' 'Don't take it for granted,' she added. Katy Perry left dangling midair after stage malfunction during show
Advertisement Katy Perry's over-the-top performance took a scary turn on Friday night. During her concert in San Francisco, video taken by a fan showed the pop superstar flying over the audience on a massive butterfly prop when it malfunctioned mid-performance. The prop dropped suddenly, jerking Perry and causing her to cling onto it as it continued moving above the crowd. She stopped singing, looking visibly panicked. The 'Teenage Dream' singer was heard letting out a yelp when the machine dropped. She immediately looked up at the wires the prop was strapped to. The comments section was flooded with mixed reactions towards Perry and her jaw-dropping performance. Advertisement 'The man was arrested by police and taken to Auburn Police Station where he was charged with two offenses — [entering] enclosed lands — not prescribed premises and [obstructing] person in performance of work or duties,' the statement from Burwood Police Area Command read. The disruptive fan was granted conditional bail and was additionally issued a six-month banning notice for the Sydney Olympic Park precinct.

After nearly 30 years, he's brought back some familiar faces — and some new ones — for the movie, including his two daughters.
