Thousands protest in Paris demanding end to genocide in Gaza
Thousands of demonstrators marched through the streets of the French capital, Paris, on Saturday under the banner 'Stop the Genocide in Gaza,' in response to calls from pro-Palestinian organizations.
Protesters gathered at the iconic Place de la République, waving Palestinian flags, before marching toward Place de la Bastille, according to Anadolu Agency.
Chants echoed throughout the march, calling for an immediate halt to what participants described as the genocide perpetrated by Israel in the Gaza Strip.
Several demonstrators were seen wearing accessories and bags marked with the watermelon symbol—now widely recognized as an emblem of solidarity with Palestine.
The crowd also condemned the targeting of Palestinian journalists in Gaza by Israeli forces and called for a boycott of brands that support the Israeli occupation.
Protesters demanded an end to the Israeli blockade to allow humanitarian aid into the besieged enclave.
One participant wore a sign that read, 'I dream of seeing a free Palestine one day,' while another held a small doll covered in red, wrapped in a shroud—symbolizing the children killed by Israeli fire in Gaza.
